Deuteronomy 03
The prayer of Moses to enter Canaan
23 I also asked the Lord for mercy at the same time, saying,
24 Lord Jehovah! thou hast begun to show thy servant thy greatness and thy mighty hand: for what God is in the heavens and the earth, that he may do according to thy works, and according to thy strength?
25 I beseech thee, I pray thee, let me pass, that I may see this good land beyond the Jordan; this good mountain, and Lebanon!
26 But the LORD was very angry with me because of you, and he did not listen to me; but he said unto me, Enough; do not speak to me in this business anymore.
27 Go up to the top of Pisgah, and lift thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and toward the east, and see with thine eyes: for thou shalt not go over the Jordan.
28 Send therefore to Joshua, and strengthen him, and comfort him; for he shall pass over before this people, and cause them to possess the land which thou seest.
29 So we stayed in the valley over against Beth-peor.
