Psalms 05
God Hates the Wicked and Blesses the Righteous
Give ear to my words, O Lord; consider my meditation.
Hear the voice of my cry, my King and my God, for to you I will pray.
In the morning you will hear my voice, O Lord; in the morning I will present myself before you and watch.
For you are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness, nor will evil dwell with you.
Fools will not stand in your sight; you hate all workers of iniquity.
You will destroy those who speak lies; the Lord will hate the bloody and deceitful man.
But I will come into your house in the greatness of your lovingkindness; and in your fear I will worship toward your holy temple.
Lead me, O Lord, in your righteousness because of my enemies; Make your way straight before me.
For there is no righteousness in their mouth; their inward parts are full of wickedness, their throat is an open grave; they flatter with their tongue.
Declare them guilty, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out because of the multitude of their transgressions, for they have rebelled against you.
But let all those who trust in you be glad; let them rejoice forever, because you defend them; let those who love your name glory in you.
For you, O Lord, will bless the righteous; you will surround him with your favor as with a shield.
