God Hates the Wicked and Blesses the Righteous

1 Give ear to my words, O Lord; consider my meditation.

2 Hear the voice of my cry, my King and my God, for to you I will pray.

3 In the morning you will hear my voice, O Lord; in the morning I will present myself before you and watch.

4 For you are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness, nor will evil dwell with you.

5 Fools will not stand in your sight; you hate all workers of iniquity.

6 You will destroy those who speak lies; the Lord will hate the bloody and deceitful man.

7 But I will come into your house in the greatness of your lovingkindness; and in your fear I will worship toward your holy temple.

8 Lead me, O Lord, in your righteousness because of my enemies; Make your way straight before me.

9 For there is no righteousness in their mouth; their inward parts are full of wickedness, their throat is an open grave; they flatter with their tongue.

10 Declare them guilty, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out because of the multitude of their transgressions, for they have rebelled against you.

11 But let all those who trust in you be glad; let them rejoice forever, because you defend them; let those who love your name glory in you.

12 For you, O Lord, will bless the righteous; you will surround him with your favor as with a shield.

1 Dá ouvidos às minhas palavras, ó Senhor; atende à minha meditação.

2 Atende à voz do meu clamor, Rei meu e Deus meu, pois a ti orarei.

3 Pela manhã ouvirás a minha voz, ó Senhor; pela manhã me apresentarei a ti, e vigiarei.

4 Porque tu não és um Deus que tenha prazer na iniqüidade, nem contigo habitará o mal.

5 Os loucos não pararão à tua vista; aborreces a todos os que praticam a maldade.

6 Destruirás aqueles que proferem a mentira; o Senhor aborrecerá o homem sanguinário e fraudulento.

7 Mas eu entrarei em tua casa pela grandeza da tua benignidade. E em teu temor me inclinarei para o teu santo templo.

8 Senhor, guia-me na tua justiça, por causa dos meus inimigos; aplana diante de mim o teu caminho.

9 Porque não há retidão na boca deles; as suas entranhas são verdadeiras maldades, a sua garganta é um sepulcro aberto; lisonjeiam com a sua língua.

10 Declara-os culpados, ó Deus; caiam por seus próprios conselhos; lança-os fora por causa da multidão de suas transgressões, pois se revoltaram contra ti.

11 Mas alegrem-se todos os que confiam em ti; exultem eternamente, porquanto tu os defendes; e em ti se gloriem os que amam o teu nome.

12 Pois tu, Senhor, abençoarás ao justo; circunda-lo-ás da tua benevolência, como de um escudo.

1 हे मेरे धर्ममय परमेश्वर, जब मैं पुकारूं तब मेरी सुन ले; मेरे दुःख में तूने मुझे सहारा दिया; मुझ पर दया करो और मेरी प्रार्थना सुनो।

2 हे मनुष्यों, तुम कब तक मेरी महिमा को अनादर में बदलते रहोगे? तुम कब तक व्यर्थता से प्रेम करोगे और झूठ की खोज करोगे?

3 इसलिये यह जान लो कि यहोवा ने जिन लोगों को चाहा है, उन्हें अपने लिये अलग रखा है; जब मैं यहोवा को पुकारूंगा, तब वह सुन लेगा।

4 घबराओ, पाप मत करो; अपने बिस्तर पर लेटे हुए अपने हृदय से बोलो, और चुप रहो।

5 धर्म के बलिदान चढ़ाओ, और यहोवा पर भरोसा रखो।

6 बहुत से लोग कहते हैं, “कौन हमें कोई अच्छी चीज़ दिखाएगा?” हे प्रभु, अपने मुख का प्रकाश हम पर चमकाइये।

7 तूने मेरे मन में उससे भी अधिक आनन्द भर दिया है, जो उनको अन्न और दाखमधु की बढ़ती के समय हुआ करता था।

8 मैं शान्ति से लेटूंगा और सोऊंगा; क्योंकि हे यहोवा, केवल तू ही मुझे निडर रहने देता है।

1 Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness; in my distress you have given me relief; be gracious to me and hear my prayer.

2 O sons of men, how long will you turn my glory into dishonor? How long will you love vanity and seek after lies?

3 Know therefore that the Lord has set apart for himself those who are dear to him; the Lord will hear when I cry to him.

4 Be troubled, and do not sin; speak with your heart upon your bed, and be silent.

5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and trust in the Lord.

6 Many say, "Who will show us any good?" O Lord, lift up the light of your countenance upon us.

7 You have put gladness in my heart, more than in the time when their grain and their wine increased.

8 I will both lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

1 Ouve-me quando eu clamo, ó Deus da minha justiça; na angústia me desta largueza; tem misericórdia de mim e ouve a minha oração.

2 Filhos dos homens, até quando convertereis a minha glória em infâmia? Até quando amareis a vaidade e buscareis a mentira?

3 Sabei pois que o Senhor separou para si aqueles que lhe é querido; o Senhor ouvirá quando eu clamar a ele.

4 Perturbai-vos e não pequeis; falai com o vosso coração sobre a vossa cama, e calai-vos.

5 Oferecei sacrifícios de justiça, e confiai no Senhor.

6 Muitos dizem: Quem nos mostrará o bem? Senhor, exalta sobre nós a luz do teu rosto.

7 Puseste alegria no meu coração, mais do que no tempo em que se multiplicaram o seu trigo e o seu vinho.

8 Em paz também me deitarei e dormirei, porque só tu, Senhor, me fazes habitar em segurança.

1 हे प्रभु, मेरे शत्रु कितने बढ़ गये हैं! बहुत से लोग हैं जो मेरे विरुद्ध उठ खड़े होते हैं।

2 बहुत से लोग मेरे प्राण के विषय में कहते हैं, कि परमेश्वर में उसका उद्धार नहीं।

3 परन्तु हे यहोवा, तू मेरी ढाल, मेरी महिमा और मेरे सिर को ऊंचा करनेवाला है।

4 मैंने यहोवा को पुकारा, और उसने अपने पवित्र पर्वत पर से मेरी सुन ली।

5 मैं लेट गया और सो गया; मैं जाग उठा, क्योंकि प्रभु ने मुझे सहारा दिया।

6 मैं उन दस हजार मनुष्यों से नहीं डरूंगा जो चारों ओर से मेरे विरुद्ध खड़े हुए हैं।

7 हे यहोवा, उठ! हे मेरे परमेश्वर, मुझे बचा ले, क्योंकि तू ने मेरे सब शत्रुओं के जबड़ों पर प्रहार किया है, तू ने दुष्टों के दांत तोड़ डाले हैं।

1 O Lord, how many are my adversaries! There are many who rise up against me!

2 Many say of my soul, “There is no salvation for him in God.”

3 But you, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.

4 I cried out to the Lord with my voice; he heard me from his holy hill.

5 I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the Lord sustained me.

6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around.

7 Arise, O Lord; save me, my God! For you have struck all my enemies on the jaws; you have broken the teeth of the wicked.

8 Salvation belongs to the Lord; may your blessing be on your people.

1 Senhor, como se têm multiplicado os meus adversários! São muitos os que se levantam contra mim.

2 Muitos dizem da minha alma: Não há salvação para ele em Deus.

3 Mas tu, Senhor, és um escudo para mim, a minha glória, e o que exalta a minha cabeça.

4 Com a minha voz clamei ao Senhor, ele ouviu-me desde o seu santo monte.

5 Eu me deitei e dormi, acordei, porque o Senhor me sustentou.

6 Não terei medo de dez milhares de pessoas que se puseram contra mim ao meu redor.

7 Levanta-te, Senhor; salva-me, Deus meu, pois feriste a todos os meus inimigos nos queixos, quebraste os dentes aos ímpios.

2 पृथ्वी के राजा इकट्ठे हुए हैं, और हाकिम आपस में सम्मति करके यहोवा और उसके अभिषिक्त के विरुद्ध कहते हैं,

3 आओ, हम उनके बन्धन तोड़ डालें, और उनकी रस्सियों को अपने ऊपर से उतार फेंकें।

4 वह जो स्वर्ग में बैठा है हंसेगा; यहोवा उनका उपहास करेगा।

5 तब वह क्रोध में उन से बातें करेगा, और जलजलाहट में आकर उन्हें लज्जित करेगा।

12 पुत्र को चूमो, ऐसा न हो कि वह क्रोध करे, और उसका क्रोध थोड़ी सी भड़कने पर तुम मार्ग से नाश हो जाओ। धन्य हैं वे सब जो उस पर भरोसा रखते हैं।

The Rebellion of the Gentiles and the Victory of the Messiah

1 Why do the nations rage, and the people plot vain things?

2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against his anointed, saying,

3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall have them in derision.

5 Then he shall speak to them in his anger, and in his wrath he shall put them to shame.

6 Yet I have anointed my King upon my holy hill of Zion.

7 I will recite the decree: The Lord said to me, “You are my Son, today I have begotten you.”

8 Ask of me, and I will give the nations for your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for your possession.

9 You shall break them with a rod of iron; You will dash them to pieces like a potter's vessel.

10 Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be instructed, you judges of the earth.

11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who trust in him.

1 Por que se amotinam as gentes, e os povos imaginam coisas vãs?

2 Os reis da terra se levantam, e os príncipes juntos se mancomunam contra o Senhor e contra o seu ungido, dizendo:

3 Rompamos as suas ataduras, e sacudamos de nós as suas cordas.

4 Aquele que habita nos céus se rirá; o Senhor zombará deles.

5 Então lhes falará na sua ira, e no seu furor os confundirá.

6 Eu porém ungi o meu Rei sobre o meu santo monte de Sião.

7 Recitarei o decreto: O Senhor me disse: Tu és meu Filho, eu hoje te gerei.

8 Pede-me, e eu te darei as nações por herança, e os fins da terra por tua possessão.

9 Tu os esmigalharás com uma vara de ferro; tu os despedaçarás como a um vaso de oleiro.

10 Agora pois, ó reis, sede prudentes; deixai-vos instruir, juízes da terra.

11 Servi ao Senhor com temor, e alegrai-vos com tremor.

1 धन्य है वह मनुष्य जो दुष्टों की युक्ति पर नहीं चलता, न पापियों के मार्ग में खड़ा होता, न ठट्ठा करनेवालों की मण्डली में बैठता है।

2 परन्तु वह तो यहोवा की व्यवस्था से प्रसन्न रहता है, और उसकी व्यवस्था पर रात दिन ध्यान करता रहता है।

3 क्योंकि वह उस वृक्ष के समान है, जो बहती नालियों के किनारे लगाया गया है, और अपनी ऋतु पर फलता है; उसके पत्ते कभी मुरझाएंगे नहीं, और जो कुछ वह पुरूष करे वह सफल होगा।

4 दुष्ट लोग ऐसे नहीं होते, वे भूसी के समान होते हैं, जिसे पवन उड़ा देता है।

5 इसलिये दुष्ट लोग न्याय में खड़े न रह सकेंगे, और न पापी धर्मियों की मण्डली में खड़े रह सकेंगे।

6 क्योंकि यहोवा धर्मियों का मार्ग जानता है; परन्तु दुष्टों का मार्ग नष्ट हो जाएगा।

The Happiness of the Righteous and the Punishment of the Wicked

1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers.

2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.

3 For he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that yields its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither; and whatever he does prospers.

4 The wicked are not so, but are like chaff which the wind drives away.

5 Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6 For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.

1 Bem-aventurado o varão que não anda segundo o conselho dos ímpios, nem se detém no caminho dos pecadores, nem se assenta na roda dos escarnecedores.

2 Antes tem o seu prazer na lei do Senhor, e na sua lei medita de dia e de noite.

3 Pois será como a árvore plantada junto a ribeiros de águas, a qual dá o seu fruto na estação própria, e cujas folhas não caem, e tudo quanto fizer prosperará.

4 Não são assim os ímpios, mas são como a moinha que o vento espalha.

5 Pelo que os ímpios não subsistirão no juízo, nem os pecadores na congregação dos justos.

6 Porque o Senhor conhece o caminho dos justos; mas o caminho dos ímpios perecerá.

10 और जब अय्यूब ने अपने मित्रों के लिये प्रार्थना की, तब यहोवा ने उसकी बन्धुआई दूर कर दी, और जितना अय्यूब के पास पहले था, उससे दुगना यहोवा ने उसे दे दिया।

11 तब उसके सब भाई-बहन और जितने लोग उसे पहले से जानते थे, सब उसके पास आए और उसके घर में उसके साथ भोजन किया। उन्होंने उसके लिए विलाप किया और उसे उन सभी बुराइयों के लिए सांत्वना दी जो प्रभु ने उस पर लायी थीं। और उन में से हर एक ने उसे एक सिक्का और एक सोने का लटकन दिया।

12 इस प्रकार यहोवा ने अय्यूब के पिछले दिनों को उसके अगले दिनों से अधिक आशीष दी; क्योंकि उसके पास चौदह हज़ार भेड़ें, छः हज़ार ऊँट, हज़ार जोड़ी बैल और हज़ार गदहियाँ थीं।

13 उसके सात बेटे और तीन बेटियाँ भी थीं।

14 और उसने पहली का नाम यमीमा, दूसरी का कैसिया, और तीसरी का नाम केरेन-हप्पुक रखा।

15 और सारे देश में अय्यूब की बेटियों के समान सुन्दर स्त्रियाँ न मिलीं; और उनके पिता ने उन्हें उनके भाइयों के बीच भाग दिया।

16 इसके बाद अय्यूब एक सौ चालीस वर्ष जीवित रहा, और चौथी पीढ़ी तक अपने वंश को देखने पाया।

17 इस प्रकार अय्यूब बूढ़ा होकर, दीर्घायु होकर मर गया।

God Gives Job Twice as Much Prosperity as He Had Before

10 And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends; and the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.

11 Then all his brothers and all his sisters, and all who had known him before, came to him, and ate bread with him in his house. They mourned for him and comforted him for all the evil that the Lord had brought upon him. They each gave him a piece of money and each a gold earring.

12 And the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning; for he had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand female donkeys.

13 He also had seven sons and three daughters.

14 And he called the name of the first Jemima, and the name of the other Cassia, and the name of the third Keren-happuk.

15 And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them an inheritance among their brethren.

16 And after this Job lived an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even to the fourth generation.

17 And Job died, being old and full of days.

10 E o Senhor virou o cativeiro de Jó, quando orava pelos seus amigos; e o Senhor acrescentou a Jó outro tanto em dobro a tudo quanto dantes possuía.

11 Então vieram a ele todos os seus irmãos e todas as suas irmãs e todos quantos dantes o conheceram, e comeram com ele pão em sua casa, e se condoeram dele, e o consolaram de todo o mal que o Senhor lhe havia enviado; e cada um deles lhe deu uma peça de dinheiro, e cada um um pendente de ouro.

12 E assim abençoou o Senhor o último estado de Jó, mais do que o primeiro; porque teve catorze mil ovelhas, e seis mil camelos, e mil juntas de bois, e mil jumentas.

13 Também teve sete filhos e três filhas.

14 E chamou o nome da primeira Jemima, e o nome da outra Cássia, e o nome da terceira Quéren-Hapuque.

15 E em toda a terra não se acharam mulheres tão formosas como as filhas de Jó; e seu pai lhes deu herança entre seus irmãos.

16 E depois disto viveu Jó cento e quarenta anos; e viu a seus filhos, e aos filhos de seus filhos, até à quarta geração.

17 Então morreu Jó, velho e farto de dias.

7 जब यहोवा ये बातें अय्यूब से कह चुका, तब उसने तेमानी एलीपज से कहा, मेरा क्रोध तेरे और तेरे दोनों मित्रों पर भड़का है, क्योंकि जैसी ठीक बात मेरे दास अय्यूब ने मेरे विषय कही, वैसी तुम लोगों ने नहीं कही।

8 इसलिये अब तुम सात बैल और सात मेढ़े ले कर मेरे दास अय्यूब के पास जाओ, और मैं तुम्हारे लिये होमबलि चढ़ाऊंगा, और मेरा दास अय्यूब तुम्हारे लिये प्रार्थना करेगा; क्योंकि मैं उसे स्वीकार करूंगा, और तुम्हारे साथ तुम्हारी मूर्खता के अनुसार व्यवहार नहीं करूंगा; क्योंकि जैसी ठीक बात मेरे दास अय्यूब ने कही, वैसी तू ने मेरे विषय नहीं कही।

9 तब तेमानी एलीपज, शूही बिलदद, और नामाती सोपर ने जाकर वैसा ही किया जैसा यहोवा ने उनसे कहा था; और यहोवा ने अय्यूब का अनुग्रह स्वीकार किया।

7 Now it came to pass, when the Lord had finished speaking these words to Job, that the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My anger is kindled against you and against your two friends, because you have not spoken of me the right thing, as my servant Job has.

8 Now take seven bulls and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and I will offer burnt offerings for you; and my servant Job will pray for you; for I will surely accept him, so that I will not deal with you according to your folly, because you have not spoken of me the right thing, as my servant Job has.

9 So Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite went and did as the Lord had told them; and the Lord accepted Job's favor.

7 Sucedeu pois que, acabando o Senhor de dizer a Jó aquelas palavras, o Senhor disse a Elifaz, o temanita: A minha ira se acendeu contra ti, e contra os teus dois amigos; porque não dissestes de mim o que era reto, como o meu servo Jó.

8 Tomai pois sete bezerros e sete carneiros, e ide ao meu servo Jó, e oferecerei holocaustos por vós; e o meu servo Jó orará por vós; porque deveras a ele aceitarei, para que eu vos não trate conforme a vossa loucura; porque vós não falastes de mim o que era reto como o meu servo Jó.

9 Então foram Elifaz, o temanita, e Bildade, o suíta, e Sofar, o naamatita, e fizeram como o Senhor lhes dissera; e o Senhor aceitou a face de Jó.
