1 Behold, the day of the Lord is coming, when your spoil will be divided in your midst.

2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; the city shall be taken, the houses plundered, and the women ravished; half of the city shall go into captivity, but the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

3 Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations, as in the day when he fought in the day of battle.

4 And in that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is east of Jerusalem; and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west, forming a very large valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south.

5 And you will flee through the valley of my mountains (for the valley of the mountains will reach to Asel), and you will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah, king of Judah: then the Lord my God will come, and all the holy ones with you, O Lord.

6 And it will happen on that day that there will be neither precious light nor thick darkness.

7 But it will be a day known to the Lord; it will be neither day nor night; and it will happen that in the evening there will be light.

8 On that day also it will happen that living waters will flow out from Jerusalem, half of them to the eastern sea, and half of them to the western sea; in summer and in winter this will happen.

9 And the Lord will be king over all the earth: on that day the Lord will be, and his name one.

10 All the land around will become a plain, from Geba to Rimmon, south of Jerusalem; It will be raised up and inhabited in its place, from the Benjamin Gate to the place of the First Gate, to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the king’s winepresses.

11 They will live in it, and there will be no more accursed things, for Jerusalem will dwell securely.

12 This will be the plague the Lord will strike on all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet; their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths.

13 In that day the Lord will throw a great disturbance among them; each will seize another by the hand, and each will lift up his hand against his neighbor’s hand.

14 Judah will also fight at Jerusalem, and the wealth of all the nations will be gathered all around—gold, silver, and clothing in great abundance.

15 And the plague will be on the horses, the mules, the camels, the donkeys, and all the animals that are in those armies, as was the plague on them.

16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations that came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

17 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever of the families of the earth goeth not up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.

18 And if the family of the Egyptians go not up, neither come, then shall come upon them the plague with which the Lord will smite the nations that go not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

19 This shall be the punishment of the Egyptians, and the punishment of all the nations that go not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

20 On that day the bells on the horses will be called: “Holiness to the Lord!” And the pots in the house of the Lord will be like basins before the altar.

21 All the pots in Jerusalem and Judah will be consecrated to the Lord Almighty, and all who come to sacrifice will take some of them and cook in them. No longer will there be a Canaanite in the house of the Lord Almighty on that day.

3 And it shall come to pass, when a man prophesies, that his father and mother who begot him shall say to him, “You shall not live, because you have spoken falsely in the name of the Lord.” And his father and mother who begot him shall pierce him through when he prophesies.

4 And it shall come to pass in that day that the prophets shall be ashamed of their visions when they prophesy; neither shall they wear a hairy mantle anymore to lie.

1 The burden of the word of the Lord concerning Israel: Thus says the Lord, who stretches out the heavens, who lays the foundation of the earth, and who forms the spirit of man within him.

2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling to all the surrounding peoples, and also to Judah when they are besieged.

3 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it shall be cut in pieces, and all the nations of the earth shall gather against it.

4 In that day, says the Lord, I will strike every horse with panic, and its rider with madness; and I will open my eyes upon the house of Judah, and strike every horse of the peoples with blindness.

5 Then the leaders of Judah will say in their hearts, “My strength is the inhabitants of Jerusalem and the Lord of hosts, their God.”

6 On that day I will make the leaders of Judah like a burning coal under a wood burner, and like a torch among sheaves; they will devour all the surrounding peoples on the right and on the left, and Jerusalem will be inhabited again in its own place, even in Jerusalem.

7 But the Lord will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem may not be exalted above Judah.

8 On that day the Lord will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and whoever among them stumbles on that day will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel of the Lord before them.

9 And it will happen on that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem;

10 And I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.

11 On that day the weeping in Jerusalem will be as great as the weeping of Hadadrimmon in the Valley of Megiddo.

12 The land will mourn, each family by itself: the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves;

13 the family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of Shimei by itself, and their wives by themselves.

14 And all the other families, each family by itself, and their wives by themselves.

5 Então os chefes de Judá dirão no seu coração: A minha força são os habitantes de Jerusalém e o Senhor dos Exércitos, seu Deus.

1 Open your gates, Lebanon, that the fire may consume the cedars.

2 Wail, you babblings, for the cedars have fallen, for the choicest ones are destroyed; wail, you oaks of Bashan, for the mighty forest is cut down.

3 The voice of the shepherds howling! For their glory is destroyed; the voice of the roaring of young lions! For the pride of the Jordan is destroyed!

4 Thus says the Lord my God: Feed the flock destined for slaughter,

5 Whose owners kill them and are not guilty; and whose sellers say, “Praise the Lord, for I have become rich,” and their shepherds have no pity on them.

6 Surely I will no longer have pity on the inhabitants of this land, says the Lord, but behold, I will deliver the men, each into the hand of his neighbor and into the hand of his king; They will strike the earth, and I will not deliver them from their hand.

7 So I tended the flock destined for slaughter, the poor sheep of the flock. I took two staffs for myself: one I called Gentleness, and the other I called Bonds; and I tended the flock.

8 But in one month I destroyed the three shepherds, for my soul was grieved for them, and their soul also loathed me.

5 And they shall be like mighty men who go through the mud of the streets into battle, crushing the enemy; for the Lord will be with them, and they shall put to shame those who ride on horses. 

6 I will strengthen the house of Judah and save the house of Joseph; I will replant them, for I have compassion on them. They shall be as though I had not rejected them, for I am the Lord their God, and I will hear them.

7 Ephraim shall be like a mighty warrior; their hearts shall rejoice as with wine. Their children shall see it and be glad; their hearts shall exult in the Lord.

8 I will whistle for them and gather them together, for I have redeemed them, and they shall multiply as they had multiplied.

9 I will sow them among the nations, and they shall remember me in distant places. They and their children shall live and return.

10 For I will bring them back from the land of Egypt and gather them from Assyria; I will bring them to the land of Gilead and Lebanon, where no place will be found for them.

3 And Tyre built for herself strongholds; and heaped up silver as dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets.

4 Behold, the Lord will plunder her, and strike her strength in the sea, and she shall be consumed by fire.

5 Ashkelon shall see it and fear; Gaza also shall be in great sorrow; Ekron also, for her hope shall be disappointed; and the king of Gaza shall perish, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.

6 And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod; and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.

7 I will take away the blood from his mouth and the abominations from between his teeth. He will be a remnant for our God, a prince in Judah, and Ekron like a Jebusite.

8 I will encamp around my house against the army, so that no one can pass through or return, so that the taskmaster will no longer pass over them, for now I have seen with my own eyes.

9 Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout aloud, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

10 I will cut off the chariots from Ephraim and the horses from Jerusalem, and the battle bow will be broken. He will proclaim peace to the nations, and his dominion will extend from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth. 

11 As for you, because of the blood of your covenant, I have released your prisoners from the pit where there is no water.

12 Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope; even today I declare that I will restore double to you.

13 For I have bent Judah to myself, I have filled the bow with Ephraim; I will raise up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece! And I will make you like the sword of a mighty man.

14 And the Lord will appear over them, and his arrows will go forth like lightning; and the Lord God will sound the trumpet, and will go with the whirlwinds of the south.

15 The Lord of hosts will uphold them; and they will devour, after they have been subdued, the stones of the sling; they will also drink and make a noise as if excited by wine; and they will be filled like goblets, like the corners of the altar.

16 And the Lord their God will save them on that day, as the flock of his people; for like the stones of a crown they will be exalted in their land.

17 For how great is his goodness! And how great is his beauty! The wheat will make the young men flourish, and the new wine the maidens.
