1 धर्मी नाश होते हैं, और कोई इस पर ध्यान नहीं देता; भक्त उठा लिए जाते हैं, और कोई यह नहीं समझता कि धर्मी बुराई से बचने के लिए उठा लिए जाते हैं।

2 जो लोग धर्म से चलते हैं, वे शांति में प्रवेश करते हैं और अपने बिस्तरों पर विश्राम करते हैं।

3 परन्तु हे जादूगरनी की सन्तानों, हे व्यभिचारियों और वेश्याओं की सन्तानों, यहाँ आओ।

4 तुम किसका उपहास करते हो? तुम किसके विरुद्ध अपना मुँह खोलते और अपनी जीभ निकालते हो? क्या तुम पाप की सन्तान, झूठ की सन्तान नहीं हो?

5 तुम हर हरे पेड़ के नीचे काम-वासना से जलते हो और अपने बच्चों को नालों में, चट्टानों की दरारों में बलि चढ़ाते हो।

6 नालों के चिकने पत्थरों पर तुम्हारा भाग है; यही तुम्हारा भाग है; उन्हीं पर तुम अपना अर्घ और बलि चढ़ाते हो। क्या मैं इन बातों से प्रसन्न होऊँ?

7 तुम ऊँचे और ऊँचे पहाड़ों पर अपना बिछौना बिछाते हो; और उन पर बलि चढ़ाने जाते हो।

8 तू अपने द्वारों और चौखटों के पीछे अपनी निशानियाँ बनाता है; क्योंकि तू मुझसे ज़्यादा दूसरों के सामने अपने को उघाड़ता है, और ऊपर जाकर अपना बिछौना फैलाता है, और उनके साथ वाचा बाँधता है; जहाँ कहीं तू उनका बिछौना देखता है, वहाँ उससे प्रेम करता है।

9 तू तेल लेकर राजा के पास जाता है और अपनी सुगंधियाँ बढ़ाता है; तू अपने दूतों को दूर भेजता है, और अपने आप को अधोलोक तक दीन करता है।

10 तू अपनी लंबी यात्रा में थक गया है; परन्तु यह नहीं कहता, “कोई आशा नहीं है”; जो तूने खोजा था वह तुझे मिल गया है, इसलिए तू थकता नहीं है।

11 परन्तु किसका भय या भय तुझे हुआ, कि तू झूठ बोले, और मुझे स्मरण न रखे, और न मुझे अपने मन में रखे? क्या इसका कारण यह नहीं है कि मैं बहुत दिनों से चुप रहा, और तू नहीं डरता?

14 और यह कहा जाएगा: “मार्ग को समतल करो, समतल करो, मार्ग को तैयार करो; मेरी प्रजा के मार्ग में से ठोकरें हटा दो।”

1 The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart; the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.

2 Those who walk uprightly enter into peace and rest in their beds.

3 But come here, you children of the sorceress, you offspring of adulterers and prostitutes.

4 Whom do you mock? Against whom do you open your mouth wide and stick out your tongue? Are you not children of transgression, offspring of falsehood?

5 You burn with lust under every green tree and sacrifice your children in the ravines, in the clefts of the rocks.

6 On the smooth stones of the ravines is your portion; these are your lot; on them you pour out your drink offering and sacrifice to them. Should I be pleased with these things?

7 On high and lofty mountains you set your bed; you go up to them to offer sacrifices.

8 Behind the doors and doorposts you set up your memorials; for you uncover yourself to others more than to me, and you go up, you enlarge your bed, and you make a covenant with them; you love their bed wherever you see it.

9 You go to the king with oil and multiply your perfumes; you send your ambassadors far away, and you humble yourself even to hell.

10 On your long journey you have wearied yourself; but you do not say, “There is no hope”; what you sought you have found, therefore you do not grow weary.

11 But of whom did you have fear or dread, that you lied, and did not remember me, nor set me in your heart? Is it not because I have kept silent, and that for a long time, and you do not fear?

12 I will declare your righteousness, and your deeds, which will not profit you.

13 When you cry out, let your assembled people deliver you; but the wind will carry them all away, and vanity will snatch them away; but he who trusts in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain.

14 And it shall be said: “Level, level, prepare the way; remove the stumbling blocks from the path of my people.”

15 For thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

16 For I will not contend forever, nor will I always be angry; for the spirit would grow faint before me, and the souls that I have made.”

17 Because of the iniquity of their covetousness I was angry, and struck them: I hid myself, and was angry; but they rebelled, followed the way of their heart.

18 I see their ways, and will heal them; I will also guide them, and restore comforts to them and to their mourners.

19 I create the fruit of the lips: peace, peace, to those who are far off, and to those who are near, says the Lord; and I will heal them.

20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea, which cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.

21 The wicked, says my God, have no peace.

1 Perece o justo, e não há quem considere isso em seu coração, e os homens compassivos são retirados, sem que alguém considere que o justo é levado antes do mal.

4 De quem fazeis o vosso passatempo? Contra quem escancarais a boca, e deitais para fora a língua? Porventura não sois filhos da transgressão, semente da falsidade,

5 Que vos esquentais com os ídolos debaixo de toda a árvore verde, e sacrificais os filhos nos ribeiros, nas aberturas dos penhascos?

6 Nas pedras lisas dos ribeiros está a tua parte; estas são a tua sorte; sobre elas também derramas a tua libação, e lhes ofereces ofertas: Contentar-me-ia eu destas coisas?

7 Sobre os montes altos e levantados pões a tua cama; e a eles sobes para oferecer sacrifícios.

8 E detrás das portas e das umbreiras pões os teus memoriais; porque a outros mais do que a mim te descobres, e sobes, alargas a tua cama, e fazes concerto com eles; amas a sua cama, onde quer que a vês.

9 E vais ao rei com óleo e multiplicas os teus perfumes; e envias os teus embaixadores para longe, e te abates até aos infernos.

10 Na tua comprida viagem te cansaste; mas não dizes: Não há esperança; o que buscavas achaste, por isso não adoeces.

11 Mas de quem tiveste receio ou temor, para que mentisses, e não te lembrasses de mim, nem no teu coração me pusesses? Não é porventura porque eu me calo, e isso já desde muito tempo, e não temes?

12 Eu publicarei a tua justiça, e as tuas obras, que não te aproveitarão.

13 Quando clamares, livrem-te os teus congregados; mas o vento a todos levará, e a vaidade os arrebatará: mas o que confia em mim possuirá a terra, e herdará o meu santo monte.

14 E dir-se-á: Aplanai, aplanai, preparai o caminho: tirai os tropeços do caminho do meu povo.

15 Porque assim diz o alto e o sublime, que habita na eternidade, e cujo nome é santo: Num alto e santo lugar habito, e também com o contrito e abatido de espírito, para vivificar o espírito dos abatidos, e para vivificar o coração dos contritos.

16 Porque para sempre não contenderei, nem continuamente me indignarei; porque o espírito perante a minha face se enfraqueceria, e as almas que eu fiz.

17 Pela iniqüidade da sua avareza me indignei, e os feri: escondi-me, e indignei-me; mas, rebeldes, seguiram o caminho do seu coração.

18 Eu vejo os seus caminhos, e os sararei; também os guiarei, e lhes tornarei a dar consolações e aos seus pranteadores.

19 Eu crio os frutos dos lábios: paz, paz, para os que estão longe, e para os que estão perto, diz o Senhor, e eu os sararei.

20 Mas os ímpios são como o mar bravo que se não pode aquietar, e cujas águas lançam de si lama e lodo.

8 Thus says the Lord God, who gathers the dispersed of Israel: I will gather yet others to those already gathered to him.

9 All you beasts of the field, all you wild animals of the forest, come and devour!

10 All their watchmen are blind, they are all ignorant; they are all mute dogs, they cannot bark; they lie asleep, they are asleep, they love to slumber.

11 These dogs are greedy, they can never have enough; they are shepherds who have no understanding; they all turn to their own way, each to his own gain, each to his own advantage.

10 Todos os seus atalaias são cegos, nada sabem; todos são cães mudos, não podem ladrar: andam adormecidos, estão deitados, e amam o tosquenejar.

11 E estes cães são gulosos, não se podem fartar; e eles são pastores que nada compreendem: todos eles se tornam para o seu caminho, cada um para a sua ganância, cada um por sua parte.

12 Vinde, dizem eles, trarei vinho, e beberemos bebida forte; e o dia de amanhã será como este, e ainda maior e mais famoso.

Promises to those who keep the Sabbath

1 Thus says the Lord: Maintain justice, and do righteousness, for my salvation is about to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

2 Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who lays hold of it, who keeps from profaning the Sabbath, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.

3 And let not the foreigner who has joined himself to the Lord speak, saying, “The Lord will surely separate me from his people”; nor let the eunuch say, “Behold, I am a dry tree.”

4 For thus says the Lord concerning the eunuchs, who keep my Sabbaths, and choose what pleases me, and hold fast my covenant.

5 I will give them a place and a name within my house and its walls that is better than that of sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name that will not be cut off.

6 And the foreigners who join themselves to the Lord, to minister to him, to love the name of the Lord, and to be his servants, all who keep the Sabbath without profaning it and who hold fast my covenant—

7 They I will bring to my holy mountain and make them joyful in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.

2 Bem-aventurado o homem que fizer isto, e o filho do homem que lançar mão disto, que se guarda de profanar o sábado, e guarda a sua mão de perpetrar algum mal.

3 E não fale o filho do estrangeiro, que se houver chegado ao Senhor, dizendo: De todo me apartará o Senhor do seu povo: nem tampouco diga o eunuco: Eis que eu sou uma árvore seca.

4 Porque assim diz o Senhor a respeito dos eunucos, que guardam os meus sábados, e escolhem aquilo que me agrada, e abraçam o meu concerto.

5 Também lhes darei na minha casa e dentro dos meus muros um lugar e um nome, melhor do que o de filhos e filhas: um nome eterno darei a cada um deles que nunca se apagará.

6 E aos filhos dos estrangeiros, que se chegarem ao Senhor, para o servirem, e para amarem o nome do Senhor, sendo deste modo servos seus, todos os que guardarem o sábado, não profanando, e os que abraçarem o meu concerto.

7 Também os levarei ao meu santo monte, e os festejarei na minha casa de oração; os seus holocaustos e os seus sacrifícios serão aceitos no meu altar, porque a minha casa será chamada casa de oração para todos os povos.

All people are invited to seek salvation

1 “Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.

2 Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare.

3 Give ear and come to me; hear me, that your soul may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David.

4 “See, I have made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander of the peoples.”

5 Behold, you will call a nation you do not know, and a nation that never knew you will run to you, because of the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has glorified you.

6 Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near.

7 Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.

8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.

9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

10 For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,

11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

12 For you shall go out with joy, and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills shall burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

13 Instead of the thornbush shall come up the cypress, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle; and it shall be to the Lord for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

1 Ó vós, todos os que tendes sede, vinde às águas, e os que não tendes dinheiro, vinde, comprai, e comei; sim, vinde e comprai, sem dinheiro e sem preço, vinho e leite.

2 Por que gastais o dinheiro naquilo que não é pão? E o produto do vosso trabalho naquilo que não pode satisfazer? Ouvi-me atentamente, e comei o que é bom e a vossa alma se deleite com a gordura.

3 Inclinai os vossos ouvidos, e vinde a mim; ouvi, e a vossa alma viverá; porque convosco farei um concerto perpétuo, dando-vos as firmes beneficências de Davi.

4 Eis que eu o dei como testemunha aos povos, como príncipe e governador dos povos.

5 Eis que chamarás a uma nação que não conheces, e uma nação que nunca te conheceu correrá para ti, por amor do Senhor teu Deus, e do Santo de Israel; porque ele te glorificou.

6 Buscai ao Senhor enquanto se pode achar, invocai-o enquanto está perto.

7 Deixe o ímpio o seu caminho, e o homem maligno os seus pensamentos, e se converta ao Senhor, que se compadecerá dele; torne para o nosso Deus, porque grandioso é em perdoar.

8 Porque os meus pensamentos não são os vossos pensamentos, nem os vossos caminhos os meus caminhos, diz o Senhor.

9 Porque, assim como os céus são mais altos do que a terra, assim são os meus caminhos mais altos do que os vossos caminhos, e os meus pensamentos mais altos do que os vossos pensamentos.

10 Porque, assim como desce a chuva e a neve dos céus, e para lá não torna, mas rega a terra, e a faz produzir, e brotar, e dar semente ao semeador, e pão ao que come,

11 Assim será a palavra que sair da minha boca: ela não voltará para mim vazia, antes fará o que me apraz, e prosperará naquilo para que a enviei.

12 Porque com alegria saireis, e em paz sereis guiados: os montes e os outeiros exclamarão de prazer perante a vossa face, e todas as árvores do campo baterão as palmas.

13 Em lugar do espinheiro crescerá a faia, e em lugar da sarça crescerá a murta: o que será para o Senhor por nome, por sinal eterno, que nunca se apagará.

2 अपने तम्बू का स्थान चौड़ा कर, और अपने घरों के परदे तान; कुछ न छोड़; अपनी रस्सियाँ लंबी कर, और अपने खूँटों को दृढ़ कर।

3 क्योंकि तू दाएँ-बाएँ फैलेगी, और तेरे वंशज जातियों के अधिकारी होंगे, और उजड़े हुए नगरों में बसेंगे।

12 मैं तेरे खिड़कियाँ स्फटिक की, तेरे द्वार माणिकों के, और तेरे सब किनारों को बहुमूल्य पत्थरों से बनाऊँगा।

13 तेरे सब बच्चे यहोवा के सिखाए हुए होंगे, और तेरे बच्चों को बड़ी शान्ति मिलेगी।

14 तू धार्मिकता में स्थिर रहेगा; तू अन्धेर से दूर रहेगा, क्योंकि तुझे भय न होगा; और भय से भी दूर रहेगा, क्योंकि वह तेरे पास न आएगा।

15 देख, वे इकट्ठे तो हो सकते हैं, परन्तु मेरी ओर से नहीं; जो कोई तेरे विरुद्ध इकट्ठा होगा, वह तेरे कारण गिरेगा।

The Progress and Glory of the Church

1 Sing joyfully, O barren one, you who did not give birth; break forth into joyful song and cry aloud, you who have not been in labor; for more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who is married, says the Lord.

2 Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes.

3 For you shall expand to the right and to the left, and your descendants will inherit the nations and will inhabit the desolate cities.

4 Do not fear, for you will not be put to shame; neither be disgraced, for you will not be confounded; for you will forget the shame of your youth and will no longer remember the reproach of your widowhood.

5 For your Maker is your husband; The Lord of hosts is his name, and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he will be called the God of all the earth.

6 For the Lord has called you like a forsaken and grieved woman, like a wife of youth who is despised, says your God.

7 For a brief moment I forsook you, but with great compassion I will gather you.

8 In great anger I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you, says the Lord, your Redeemer.

9 For this is like the waters of Noah to me; for I have sworn that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you again, nor rebuke you.

10 Though the mountains depart and the hills be removed, my unfailing love will not depart from you, nor my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

11 O afflicted one, storm-tossed and not comforted! Behold, I will set your stones in beautiful colors, and lay their foundations with sapphires.

12 I will make your windows of crystal, your gates of rubies, and all your borders of precious stones.

13 All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.

14 In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you.

15 Behold, they may gather together, but not by me; whoever gathers against you shall fall for your sake.

16 Behold, I have created the blacksmith who blows the coals of fire and who produces the tool for his work; I have also created the destroyer to destroy.

17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their vindication is from me, declares the Lord.

1 Canta alegremente, ó estéril, que não deste à luz: exulta de prazer com alegre canto, e exclama, tu que não tiveste dores de parto; porque mais são os filhos da solitária, do que os filhos da casada, diz o Senhor.

2 Amplia o lugar da tua tenda, e as cortinas das tuas habitações se estendam; não o impeças; alonga as tuas cordas, e firma bem as tuas estacas.

3 Porque transbordarás à mão direita e à esquerda; e a tua posteridade possuirá as nações e fará que sejam habitadas as cidades assoladas.

4 Não temas, porque não serás envergonhada; e não te envergonhes, porque não serás confundida: antes te esquecerás da vergonha da tua mocidade e não te lembrarás mais do opróbrio da tua viuvez.

5 Porque o teu Criador é o teu marido; o Senhor dos Exércitos é o seu nome, e o Santo de Israel é o teu Redentor: ele será chamado o Deus de toda a terra.

6 Porque o Senhor te chamou como a mulher desamparada e triste de espírito; como a mulher da mocidade, que é desprezada, diz o teu Deus.

7 Por um pequeno momento te deixei, mas com grande misericórdia te recolherei;

8 Em grande ira escondi a minha face de ti por um momento; mas com benignidade eterna me compadecerei de ti, diz o Senhor, o teu Redentor.

9 Porque isto será para mim como as águas de Noé; pois jurei que as águas de Noé não inundariam mais a terra: assim jurei que não me irarei mais contra ti, nem te repreenderei.

10 Porque as montanhas se desviarão e os outeiros tremerão; mas a minha benignidade não se desviará de ti, e o concerto da minha paz não mudará, diz o Senhor, que se compadece de ti.

11 Ó oprimida, arrojada com a tormenta e desconsolada! Eis que eu porei as tuas pedras com todo o ornamento, e as fundarei sobre safiras.

12 E as tuas janelas farei cristalinas, e as tuas portas de rubis, e todos os teus termos de pedras aprazíveis.

13 E todos os teus filhos serão discípulos do Senhor; e a paz de teus filhos será abundante.

14 Com justiça serás confirmada: estarás longe da opressão, porque já não temerás; e também do espanto, porque não chegará a ti.

15 Eis que poderão vir a juntar-se, mas não será por mim: quem se ajuntar contra ti, cairá por amor de ti.

16 Eis que eu criei o ferreiro, que assopra as brasas do fogo, e que produz a ferramenta para a sua obra: também criei o assolador, para destruir.

17 Toda a ferramenta preparada contra ti, não prosperará; e toda a língua que se levantar contra ti em juízo, tu a condenarás: esta é a herança dos servos do Senhor, e a sua justiça que vem de mim, diz o Senhor.

2 क्योंकि वह उसके साम्हने कोमल अंकुर के समान, और निर्जल भूमि में फूटी जड़ के समान उगा; उसका न तो रूप था, न शोभा कि हम उसे देखते, और न उसके रूप में कुछ ऐसा था कि हम उसको चाहते।

3 वह मनुष्यों द्वारा तुच्छ जाना गया और त्यागा गया, वह दुःखी मनुष्य था, और पीड़ा से परिचित था। वह उस मनुष्य के समान तुच्छ जाना गया, और हम ने उसका अनादर किया।

4 निश्चय उसने हमारा दुःख उठाया और हमारे ही दुख उठाए, फिर भी हमने उसे परमेश्वर का दण्डित, उसके द्वारा मारा हुआ और पीड़ित समझा।

6 हम सब भेड़ों के समान भटक गए हैं, हम में से प्रत्येक ने अपना अपना मार्ग लिया है; और यहोवा ने हम सभों के अधर्म का बोझ उसी पर लाद दिया।

7 वह सताया गया और सहा गया, तौभी उसने अपना मुँह न खोला; वह वध होने के समय मेम्ने के समान और ऊन कतरने के समय भेड़ के समान चुपचाप शान्त रहता है, वैसे ही उसने अपना मुँह न खोला।

8 वह अत्याचार और न्याय के द्वारा उठा लिया गया; और उसकी पीढ़ी का गिननेवाला कौन है? क्योंकि वह जीवतों के बीच से नाश किया गया; मेरे ही लोगों के अपराध के कारण उसे दण्ड मिला।

9 उसकी कब्र दुष्टों के संग ठहराई गई, और उसकी मृत्यु धनवानों के संग हुई, यद्यपि उसने न तो कोई उपद्रव किया था, और न उसके मुँह से कोई छल की बात निकली थी।

10 तौभी यहोवा को यही भाया कि उसे कुचले; उसने उसे शोकित किया है। जब उसका प्राण पापबलि चढ़ाएगा, तब वह अपने वंश को देखने पाएगा, और अपनी आयु बढ़ाएगा; और यहोवा की इच्छा उसके हाथ से सफल होगी।

1 Who has believed our message? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?

2 For he grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.

3 He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.

4 Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.

5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. 

6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.

8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and who can recount his generation? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was punished.

9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he has put him to grief. When his soul makes an offering for sin, he shall see his offspring and prolong his days; and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.

11 He will see the fruit of his labor and be satisfied; by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many, for he shall bear their iniquities.

12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, and he shall divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his soul to death, and was numbered with the transgressors; for he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

1 Quem deu crédito à nossa pregação? E a quem se manifestou o braço do Senhor?

2 Porque foi subindo como renovo perante ele, e como raiz duma terra seca; não tinha parecer nem formosura; e, olhando nós para ele, nenhuma beleza víamos, para que o desejássemos.

3 Era desprezado, e o mais indigno entre os homens, homem de dores, e experimentado nos trabalhos: e, como um de quem os homens escondiam o rosto, era desprezado, e não fizemos dele caso algum.

4 Verdadeiramente ele tomou sobre si as nossas enfermidades, e as nossas dores levou sobre si; e nós o reputamos por aflito, ferido de Deus, e oprimido.

5 Mas ele foi ferido pelas nossas transgressões, e moído pelas nossas iniqüidades: o castigo que nos traz a paz estava sobre ele, e pelas suas pisaduras fomos sarados.

6 Todos nós andamos desgarrados como ovelhas; cada um se desviava pelo seu caminho: mas o Senhor fez cair sobre ele a iniqüidade de nós todos.

7 Ele foi oprimido, mas não abriu a sua boca: como um cordeiro foi levado ao matadouro, e, como a ovelha muda perante os seus tosquiadores, ele não abriu a sua boca.

8 Da opressão e do juízo foi tirado; e quem contará o tempo da sua vida? Porquanto foi cortado da terra dos viventes: pela transgressão do meu povo foi ele atingido.

9 E puseram a sua sepultura com os ímpios, e com o rico na sua morte; porquanto nunca fez injustiça, nem houve engano na sua boca.

10 Todavia, ao Senhor agradou-o moê-lo, fazendo-o enfermar; quando a sua alma se puser por expiação do pecado, verá a sua posteridade, prolongará os dias; e o bom prazer do Senhor prosperará na sua mão.

11 O trabalho da sua alma ele verá, e ficará satisfeito; com o seu conhecimento o meu servo, o justo, justificará a muitos: porque as iniqüidades deles levará sobre si.

12 Pelo que lhe darei a parte de muitos, e com os poderosos repartirá ele o despojo; porquanto derramou a sua alma na morte, e foi contado com os transgressores; mas ele levou sobre si o pecado de muitos, e pelos transgressores intercede.

15 इसी प्रकार वह बहुत सी जातियों पर छिड़काव करेगा; राजा उसके कारण अपना मुँह बंद कर लेंगे। क्योंकि जो उन्हें नहीं बताया गया था, वे उसे देखेंगे, और जो उन्होंने नहीं सुना था, वे उसे समझेंगे।

13 Behold, my servant shall act wisely; he shall be exalted and lifted up and highly exalted.

14 Just as many were astonished at him, his appearance was so marred beyond that of any man, and his form marred beyond that of other sons of men.

15 So shall he sprinkle many nations; kings shall shut their mouths because of him. For what they had not been told, they shall see, and what they had not heard, they shall understand.
