The Power and Majesty of God's Kingdom

1 The Lord reigns; he is clothed with majesty; the Lord is clothed and girded with strength; the world also is established, and cannot be moved.

2 Your throne has been established since ancient times; you have been from everlasting.

3 The rivers, O God, raise their voice; the rivers lift up their waves.

4 But the Lord on high is mightier than the noise of mighty waters, than the mighty waves of the sea.

5 Your testimonies are very sure; holiness befits your house, O Lord, forever.

3 दस तार वाले बाजे पर, सारंगी पर, और वीणा पर गम्भीर स्वर में गाऊँ।

10 परन्तु तू मेरे सींग को गेंडे के सींग के समान ऊंचा करेगा; मैं ताजे तेल से अभिषेक करूंगा।

The Psalmist Praises God for His Work, Justice, and Grace

1 It is good to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to your name, O Most High;

2 That I may declare your lovingkindness in the morning, and your faithfulness every night:

3 On an instrument of ten strings, and on the psaltery, and on the harp with a solemn sound.

4 For you, O Lord, have made me glad through your work; I will triumph in the works of your hands.

5 How great are your works, O Lord! How deep are your thoughts!

6 A brutish man knows nothing, and a fool does not understand this.

7 The wicked spring up like grass, and all the workers of iniquity flourish, but they are destroyed forever.

8 But you, O Lord, are the Most High forever.

9 For behold, your enemies, O Lord, behold, your enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.

10 But you will exalt my horn like the horn of a unicorn; I will be anointed with fresh oil.

11 My eyes shall see my desire upon my enemies, and my ears shall hear of the evildoers that rise up against me.

12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree; he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

13 Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.

14 They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing;

15 That they may declare that the Lord is upright; he is my rock, and there is no injustice in him.

2 Para de manhã anunciar a tua benignidade, e todas as noites a tua fidelidade:

3 Sobre um instrumento de dez cordas, e sobre o saltério: sobre a harpa com som solene.

4 Pois tu, Senhor, me alegraste com os teus feitos: exultarei nas obras das tuas mãos.

5 Quão grandes são. Senhor, as tuas obras! Mui profundos são os teus pensamentos.

6 O homem brutal nada sabe, e o louco não entende isto.

7 Brotam os ímpios como a erva, e florescem todos os que praticam a iniqüidade, mas para serem destruídos para sempre.

8 Mas tu, Senhor, és o Altíssimo para sempre.

9 Pois eis que os teus inimigos, Senhor, eis que os teus inimigos perecerão; serão dispersos todos os que praticam a iniqüidade.

10 Mas tu exaltarás o meu poder, como o do unicórnio: serei ungido com óleo fresco.

11 Os meus olhos verão cumprido o meu desejo sobre os meus inimigos, e os meus ouvidos dele se certificarão quanto aos malfeitores que se levantam contra mim.

12 O justo florescerá como a palmeira; crescerá como o cedro no Líbano.

13 Os que estão plantados na casa do Senhor florescerão nos átrios do nosso Deus.

14 Na velhice ainda darão frutos: serão viçosos e florescentes;

15 Para anunciarem que o Senhor é reto: Ele é a minha rocha, e nele não há injustiça.

1 जो परमप्रधान के गुप्त स्थान में रहता है, वह सर्वशक्तिमान की छाया में निवास करेगा।

2 मैं यहोवा के विषय में कहूंगा, “वह मेरा शरणस्थान और गढ़ है, मेरा परमेश्वर; मैं उस पर भरोसा रखूंगा।”

The Security of Those Who Take Refuge in God

1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God; in him I will trust.”

3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will take refuge. His truth is your shield and buckler.

5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,

6 Nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that destroys at midday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.

8 Only with your eyes will you look and see the reward of the wicked.

9 For you, O Lord, are my refuge; the Most High is your dwelling place. 

10 No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your tent.

11 For he will give his angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways.

12 They will bear you up in their hands, so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.

13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra; the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.

14 Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known my name.

15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.

16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.

1 Aquele que habita no esconderijo do Altíssimo, à sombra do Onipotente descansará.

2 Direi do Senhor: Ele é o meu Deus, o meu refúgio, a minha fortaleza, e nele confiarei.

3 Porque ele te livrará do laço do passarinheiro, e da peste perniciosa.

4 Ele te cobrirá com as suas penas, e debaixo das suas asas estarás seguro: A sua verdade é escudo e broquel.

5 Não temerás espanto noturno, nem seta que voe de dia,

6 Nem peste que ande na escuridão, nem mortandade que assole ao meio dia.

7 Mil cairão ao teu lado, e dez mil à tua direita, mas tu não serás atingido,

8 Somente com os teus olhos olharás, e verás a recompensa dos ímpios.

9 Porque tu, ó Senhor, és o meu refúgio! O Altíssimo é a tua habitação.

10 Nenhum mal te sucederá, nem praga alguma chegará à tua tenda.

11 Porque aos seus anjos dará ordem a teu respeito, para te guardarem em todos os teus caminhos.

1 हे प्रभु, तू पीढ़ी-दर-पीढ़ी हमारा निवास स्थान रहा है।

2 पहाड़ों के जन्म लेने से पहले, या तूने पृथ्वी और संसार को बनाया, यहाँ तक कि अनादि काल से अनन्त काल तक तू ही ईश्वर है।

3 तूने मनुष्य को नष्ट कर दिया है, और कहा है, "हे मनुष्यों के पुत्रों, लौट आओ!"

Man's Weakness and God's Providence

1 O Lord, you have been our dwelling place in all generations.

2 Before the mountains were born, or you formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

3 You have destroyed man, and said, "Return, O sons of men!"

4 For a thousand years in your sight are like yesterday when it is past, or like a watch in the night.

5 You sweep them away like a flood; they are like a dream; they are like grass that grows in the morning,

6 In the morning it grows and flourishes, in the evening it is cut down and withers.

7 For we are consumed by your anger, and by your wrath we are in distress.

8 You have set our iniquities before you, our hidden sins in the light of your countenance.

9 For all our days pass away in your wrath; our years are as fleeting as a tale.

10 The length of our days is seventy years, and though some by reason of strength are eighty years, yet the best of them is weariness and sorrow, for it quickly passes away, and we fly away.

11 Who knows the power of your anger? Is your wrath according to the fear due you?

12 Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

13 Turn to us, O Lord; how long? And be appeased to your servants.

14 Satisfy us early in the morning with your lovingkindness, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

15 Make us glad as to the days in which you have afflicted us, and as to the years in which we have seen evil.

16 Let your work be revealed to your servants, and your glory to their children. 

17 And the grace of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands.

 41 उसके पास से गुजरनेवाले सब उसको लूटते हैं; वह अपने पड़ोसियों के बीच बदनामी का कारण बन गया है।

1 I will sing of the lovingkindness of the Lord forever; with my mouth I will make known your faithfulness to all generations.

2 For I have said, "Your lovingkindness shall be built up forever; you will establish your faithfulness in the heavens, saying,

3 I have made a covenant with my chosen one; I have sworn to David my servant, 

"4 I will establish your descendants forever, and build up your throne to all generations."

5 The heavens will praise your wonders, O Lord, your faithfulness in the assembly of the saints.

6 For who in the heavens can be compared to the Lord? Who is like the Lord among the sons of the mighty?

7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and greatly to be revered by all who are around him. 

8 O Lord God Almighty, who is strong like you, O Lord, with your faithfulness all around you?

9 You rule the raging of the sea; when its waves rise, you still them.

10 You have broken Rahab as one slain; you have scattered your enemies with your mighty arm.

11 The heavens are yours, the earth is yours; the world and its fullness you have founded.

12 The north and the south you created; Tabor and Hermon rejoice in your name.

13 You have a mighty arm; strong is your hand, and high is your right hand.

14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; mercy and truth go before your face.

20 I have found David my servant; I have anointed him with my holy oil.

39 You have abhorred the covenant of your servant; you have profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.

41 All who pass by him plunder him; he has become a reproach to his neighbors.

42 You have exalted the right hand of his adversaries; you have made all his enemies rejoice. 

43 You have also blunted the edge of his sword, and have not sustained him in battle.

44 You have caused his splendor to cease, and cast his throne to the ground.

45 You have shortened the days of his youth; you have covered him with shame.

46 How long, O Lord? Will you hide yourself forever? Will your anger burn like fire?

47 Remember how short my days are; why would you create all the children of men in vain?

48 What man is there who lives and does not see death? Or who delivers his soul from the power of the unseen world?

49 Lord, where are your former loving kindnesses, which you swore to David in your truth?

1 O Lord God of my salvation, I have cried out before you day and night.

2 Let my prayer come before you; incline your ear to my cry.

3 For my soul is full of troubles, and my life draws near to the grave.

4 I am numbered with those who go down to the pit; I am like a man without strength,

5 I am laid among the dead, like the slain who lie in the grave, whom you remember no more; your hand has swept them away.

6 You have laid me in the lowest depths of the pit, in darkness and in the depths.

7 Your wrath lies heavy upon me; you have overwhelmed me with all your waves.

 8 You have removed my acquaintances from me; you have made me an abomination to him; I am shut in, and I cannot go out.

9 My eyes fail because of affliction. O Lord, I have cried to you all day long; I have spread out my hands to you.

10 Will you show wonders to the dead? Will the dead arise and praise you?

11 Will your lovingkindness be declared in the grave? Or your faithfulness in destruction?

12 Will your wonders be known in darkness, or your righteousness in the land of oblivion?

13 But I, O Lord, cry out to you; in the morning I send my prayer to you.

14 O Lord, why do you reject my soul? Why do you hide your face from me?

1 Its foundation is on the holy mountains.

2 The Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

3 Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of God.

4 I will mention Rahab and Babylon among those who know me; behold, of Philistia and Tyre and Ethiopia they will say, "This one was born there."

5 And of Zion they will say, "This one and that one were born there." And the Most High himself will establish her.

6 The Lord, when he makes a list of the peoples, will say, "This one was born there."

7 And the singers and players on instruments will sing, "All my springs are in you."

1 O seu fundamento está nos montes santos.

2 O Senhor ama as portas de Sião, mais do que todas as habitações de Jacó.

3 Coisas gloriosas se dizem de ti, ó cidade de Deus.

4 Dentre os que me conhecem, farei menção de Raabe e de Babilônia: eis que da Filístia, e de Tiro, e da Etiópia se dirá: Este é nascido ali.

5 E de Sião se dirá: Este e aquele nasceram ali; e o mesmo Altíssimo a estabelecerá.

6 O Senhor, ao fazer descrição dos povos, dirá: Este é nascido ali.

7 E os cantores e tocadores de instrumentos entoarão: Todas as minhas fontes estão em ti.
