II Crônicas 31
1 E acabando tudo isto,
todos os israelitas que ali se achavam saíram às cidades de Judá e quebraram as
estátuas, cortaram os bosques, e derrubaram os altos e altares por toda Judá e
Benjamim, como também em Efraim e Manassés, até que tudo destruíram: então
tornaram todos os filhos de Israel, cada um para sua possessão, para as cidades
deles.

6 इसलिये राजा और उसके हाकिमोंके हाथ से पत्र ले कर राजा की आज्ञा के अनुसार दूत सारे इस्राएल और यहूदा में फिरते रहे, कि हे इस्राएलियों, इब्राहीम, इसहाक, और इस्राएल के परमेश्वर यहोवा की ओर फिरो; कि वह तुम में से जो भागकर अश्शूर के राजाओं के वश में रह गए थे, उनके पास लौट आए।
7 और तुम अपने पुरखाओं और भाइयोंके समान न बनो, जिन्होंने अपने पितरोंके परमेश्वर यहोवा से विश्वासघात करके उनको उजाड़ दिया, जैसा तुम देखते हो।
8 अब अपके पुरखाओंके समान अपनी गर्दन कठोर न करो; अपना हाथ यहोवा के हाथ में दो, और उसके पवित्रस्थान में आओ, जिसे उस ने सदा के लिये पवित्र किया है, और अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की उपासना करो, कि उसके क्रोध का भड़कना हम पर से दूर हो जाए।

25 और यहूदा की सारी मण्डली, और याजक, लेवीय, और इस्राएल से आए हुए सब लोगोंकी सारी मण्डली आनन्द करने लगी; और जो परदेशी इस्राएल के देश से आए, और जो यहूदा में रहते थे।

II Chronicles 30
Hezekiah Invites All the People to Come to Jerusalem to Celebrate the Passover
1 After this Hezekiah sent throughout all Israel and Judah, and also wrote letters to Ephraim and Manasseh, asking them to come to the house of the Lord in Jerusalem, to celebrate the Passover to the Lord God of Israel.
2 For the king had taken counsel with his princes and with the whole assembly in Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover in the second month.
3 For they could not celebrate it at that time, because not enough of the priests had consecrated themselves, and the people had not assembled in Jerusalem.
4 And this was right in the eyes of the king and in the eyes of the whole assembly.
5 And they sent a proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba to Dan, that they should come to celebrate the Passover to the Lord God of Israel in Jerusalem, for many had not celebrated it as it was written.
6 6 So the couriers went with letters from the hand of the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, according to the king's command, saying, "Children of Israel, return to the Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, so that he may return to those of you who have escaped and are left in the hand of the kings of Assyria.
7 Do not be like your fathers and like your brothers, who transgressed against the Lord, the God of their fathers, so that he made them desolate, as you see.
8 Do not stiffen your necks now, like your fathers; give your hand to the Lord and come to his sanctuary, which he has consecrated forever, and serve the Lord your God, so that his fierce anger may turn away from us.
9 For if you return to the Lord, your brothers and your children will find mercy before those who carried them away captive, and they will return to this land. For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn his face away from you if you return to him.
10 And the couriers went from city to city through the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, even to Zebulun; but they laughed at them and mocked them.
11 But some from Asher, Manasseh, and Zebulun humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem.
12 And the hand of God was in Judah, giving them one heart to do the commandment of the king and the princes, according to the word of the Lord.
13 And much people gathered together in Jerusalem to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the second month, a very great assembly.
14 And they arose and took away the altars that were in Jerusalem, and all the incense vessels they took away, and threw them into the brook Kidron.
15 Then they sacrificed the Passover on the fourteenth day of the second month. The priests and Levites were ashamed and consecrated themselves and brought burnt offerings to the house of the Lord.
16 They stood in their places according to their custom, according to the law of Moses the man of God. The priests took the blood from the hands of the Levites and sprinkled it.
17 For there were many in the congregation who had not consecrated themselves. Therefore the Levites had the responsibility of killing the Passover lambs for everyone who was not clean, to consecrate them to the Lord.
18 For a large number of the people, many from Ephraim and Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, and yet they ate the Passover otherwise than as it is written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, "May the Lord, who is good, be reconciled to him."
19 Who has prepared his heart to seek the Lord God, the God of his fathers, though he is not clean according to the purification of the sanctuary.
20 And the Lord listened to Hezekiah and healed the people.
21 And the children of Israel, who were present in Jerusalem, kept the Feast of Unleavened Bread seven days with great joy; and the Levites and the priests praised the Lord day by day, with instruments loudly sounding to the Lord.
22 And Hezekiah spoke kindly to all the Levites who had understanding in the good knowledge of the Lord: and they ate the offerings of the solemnity seven days, offering peace offerings, and praising the Lord God of their fathers.
23 And when all the congregation had taken counsel to keep it another seven days, they kept it seven days more with joy.
24 For Hezekiah king of Judah gave to the assembly a thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep, and the princes gave to the assembly a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep, and the priests consecrated themselves in great numbers.
25 And the whole assembly of Judah rejoiced, with the priests and the Levites, the whole assembly of all who came from Israel, and the strangers who came from the land of Israel and those who lived in Judah.
26 And there was great joy in Jerusalem, for since the days of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel, there had not been such joy in Jerusalem.
27 Then the priests, the Levites, stood up and blessed the people; and their voice was heard, for their prayer had reached their holy habitation, even to heaven.
II Crônicas 30
Ezequias convida todo o
povo a vir a Jerusalém para celebrar a páscoa
1 Depois disto Ezequias
enviou por todo o Israel e Judá, e escreveu também cartas a Efraim e a Manassés
que viessem à casa do Senhor a Jerusalém, para celebrarem a páscoa ao Senhor
Deus de Israel.
2 Porque o rei tivera
conselho com os seus maiorais, e com toda a congregação em Jerusalém, para
celebrarem a páscoa no segundo mês.
3 Porquanto no mesmo tempo
não a puderam celebrar, porque se não tinham santificado bastantes sacerdotes,
e o povo se não tinha ajuntado em Jerusalém.
4 E foi isto reto aos
olhos do rei, e aos olhos de toda a congregação.
5 E ordenaram que se
fizesse passar pregão por todo o Israel, desde Berseba até Dã, para que viessem
a celebrar a páscoa ao Senhor, Deus de Israel, a Jerusalém; porque muitos a não
tinham celebrado como estava escrito.
6 Foram pois os correios
com as cartas, da mão do rei e dos seus príncipes, por todo o Israel e Judá, e
segundo o mandado do rei, dizendo: Filhos de Israel, convertei-vos ao Senhor,
Deus de Abraão, de Isaque e de Israel; para que ele se volte para aqueles de
vós que escaparam, e ficaram na mão dos reis da Assíria.
7 E não sejais como vossos
pais e como vossos irmãos, que transgrediram contra o Senhor, Deus de seus
pais, pelo que os pôs em assolação como o vedes.
8 Não endureçais agora a
vossa cerviz, como vossos pais; dai a mão ao Senhor, e vinde ao seu santuário
que ele santificou para sempre, e servi ao Senhor vosso Deus, para que o ardor
da sua ira se desvie de nós.
9 Porque, em vos convertendo
ao Senhor, vossos irmãos e vossos filhos acharão misericórdia perante os que os
levaram cativos, e tornarão a esta terra; porque o Senhor vosso Deus é piedoso
e misericordioso, e não desviará de vós o seu rosto, se vos converterdes a ele.
10 E os correios foram
passando de cidade em cidade, pela terra de Efraim e Manassés até Zebulom;
porém riram-se e zombavam deles.
11 Todavia alguns de Aser,
e de Manassés, e de Zebulom, se humilharam, e vieram a Jerusalém.
12 E em Judá esteve a mão
de Deus. Dando-lhes um só coração, para fazerem o mandado do rei e dos
príncipes, conforme à palavra do Senhor.

Jerusalém muito povo, para celebrar a festa dos pães asmos, no segundo mês; uma
mui grande congregação.
14 E levantaram-se, e
tiraram os altares que havia em Jerusalém: também tiraram todos os vasos de incenso,
e os lançaram no ribeiro de Cedron.
15 Então sacrificaram a
páscoa no dia décimo quarto do segundo mês: e os sacerdotes e levitas se
envergonharam e se santificaram e trouxeram holocaustos à casa do Senhor.
16 E puseram-se no seu
lugar, segundo o seu costume, conforme a lei de Moisés, o homem de Deus: e os
sacerdotes espargiam o sangue, tomando-o da mão dos levitas.
17 Porque havia muitos na
congregação que se não tinham santificado; pelo que os levitas tinham cargo de
matarem os cordeiros da páscoa por todo aquele que não estava limpo, para o
santificarem ao Senhor.
18 Porque uma multidão do
povo, muitos de Efraim e Manassés, Issacar e Zebulom, se não tinham purificado,
e contudo comeram a páscoa, não como está escrito; porém Ezequias orou por
eles, dizendo: O Senhor, que é bom, faça reconciliação com aquele.
19 Que tem preparado o seu
coração para buscar ao Senhor, Deus, o Deus de seus pais, ainda que não esteja
purificado segundo a purificação do santuário.
20 E ouviu o Senhor a
Ezequias, e sarou o povo.
21 E os filhos de Israel,
que se acharam em Jerusalém, celebraram a festa dos pães asmos sete dias com
grande alegria: e os levitas e os sacerdotes louvaram ao Senhor de dia em dia,
com instrumentos fortemente retinintes ao Senhor
22 E Ezequias falou
benignamente a todos os levitas, que tinham entendimento no bom conhecimento do
Senhor: e comeram as ofertas da solenidade por sete dias, oferecendo ofertas
pacíficas, e louvando ao Senhor, Deus de seus pais.
23 E, tendo toda a
congregação conselho para celebrarem outros sete dias, celebraram ainda sete
dias com alegria.
24 Porque Ezequias, rei de
Judá, apresentou à congregação mil novilhos e sete mil ovelhas: e os príncipes
apresentaram à congregação mil novilhos e dez mil ovelhas: e os sacerdotes se
santificaram em grande número.
25 E alegraram-se, toda a
congregação de Judá, e os sacerdotes, e os levitas, toda a congregação de todos
os que vieram de Israel; como também os estrangeiros que vieram da terra de
Israel e os que habitavam em Judá.
26 E houve grande alegria
em Jerusalém; porque desde os dias de Salomão, filho de Davi, rei de Israel,
tal não houve em Jerusalém.
27 Então os sacerdotes, os
levitas, se levantaram e abençoaram o povo; e a sua voz foi ouvida; porque a
sua oração chegou até à sua santa habitação, aos céus.

29 और जब वह उसे चढ़ा चुका, तो राजा और उसके संग के सब लोगों ने गिरकर दण्डवत् किया।
30 तब राजा हिजकिय्याह और हाकिमोंने लेवियोंको दाऊद और आसाप दशी के वचनोंके द्वारा यहोवा की स्तुति करने को कहा। और उन्होंने आनन्द से उसकी स्तुति की, और झुककर दण्डवत् किया।

34 परन्तु याजक बहुत कम थे, और वे सब होमबलियोंकी खाल न निकाल सके; इस कारण उनके भाई लेवीय उन की सहायता तब तक करते रहे, जब तक काम पूरा न हुआ, और जब तक दूसरे याजकों ने अपने आप को पवित्र न किया; क्योंकि लेवीय याजकों से अधिक सीधे मन के थे और अपने आप को पवित्र मानते थे।

II Chronicles 29
Hezekiah Reestablishes the Worship of God
20 Then King Hezekiah rose early in the morning, gathered together the princes of the city, and went up to the house of the Lord.
21 And they brought seven bulls, seven rams, seven lambs, and seven male goats, for a sin offering for the kingdom, for the sanctuary, and for Judah, and commanded Aaron's sons, the priests, to offer them on the altar of the Lord.
22 And they killed the bulls, and the priests took the blood and sprinkled it on the altar; they also killed the rams, and sprinkled the blood on the altar; and they killed the lambs in the same way, and sprinkled the blood on the altar.
23 Then they brought the goats for a sin offering before the king and the congregation, and laid their hands on them.
24 And the priests killed them, and with their blood they made atonement for sin on the altar, to make atonement for all Israel: for the king had commanded that the burnt offering and the sin offering should be made for all Israel.
25 And he stationed the Levites in the house of the LORD with cymbals, with psalteries, and with harps, according to the commandment of David, and of Gad the king's seer, and of Nathan the prophet: for the commandment came from the LORD by the hand of his prophets.
26 And the Levites stood with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets.
27 And Hezekiah commanded them to offer the burnt offering on the altar: and at the time that the burnt offering began, the song of the LORD began also, with the trumpets and with the instruments of David king of Israel.
28 And the whole congregation bowed down, when they sang the song, and the trumpets blew; all this until the burnt offering was finished.
29 And when he had finished offering it, the king and all who were present with him bowed down and worshiped.
30 Then King Hezekiah and the princes commanded the Levites to praise the Lord with the words of David and Asaph the seer. And they praised with joy, and bowed down and worshiped.
31 And Hezekiah answered and said, Now you have gathered yourselves together unto the Lord: come near, and bring sacrifices and thank offerings to the house of the Lord. And the congregation brought sacrifices and thank offerings, and everyone whose heart was willing brought burnt offerings.
32 The number of burnt offerings that the congregation brought was seventy oxen, one hundred rams, and two hundred lambs; all this was a burnt offering to the Lord.
33 There were also six hundred oxen and three thousand sheep of the holy things.
34 But the priests were too few, and could not skin all the burnt offerings; therefore their brethren the Levites helped them until the work was finished, and until the other priests had consecrated themselves; for the Levites were more upright in heart to consecrate themselves than the priests.
35 There was also an abundance of burnt offerings, with the fat of the peace offerings, and with the drink offering for the burnt offerings. Thus the service of the house of the Lord was established.
36 And Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced, because God had prepared the people; for the work was done quickly.

27 E deu ordem Ezequias

holocausto, começou também o canto do Senhor, com as trombetas e com os instrumentos
de davi, rei de Israel.
28 E toda congregação se
prostrou, quando cantavam o canto, e as trombetas tocavam; tudo isto até o
holocausto se acabar.
29 E acabando de o oferecer,
o rei e todos quantos com ele se acharam se prostraram e adoraram.
30 Então disse o rei
Ezequias, e os maiorais, aos levitas que louvassem ao Senhor com as palavras de
Davi, e de Asafe, o vidente. E o louvaram com alegria e se inclinaram e
adoraram.
31 E respondeu Ezequias, e
disse: Agora vos congregastes a vós mesmos ao Senhor; chegai-vos e trazei sacrifícios
e ofertas de louvor à casa do Senhor. E a congregação trouxe sacrifícios e
ofertas de louvor, e todo o que tinha essa vontade do coração, trouxe
holocaustos.
32 E o número dos
holocaustos, que a congregação trouxe, foi de setenta bois, cem carneiros,
duzentos cordeiros: tudo isto em holocausto para o Senhor.
33 Houve, também de coisas
consagradas, seiscentos bois e três mil ovelhas.
34 Eram porém os
sacerdotes mui poucos, e não podiam esfolar a todos os holocaustos; pelo que
seus irmãos os levitas os ajudaram, até a obra se acabar, e até que os outros
sacerdotes se santificaram; porque os levitas foram mais retos de coração, para
se santificarem, do que os sacerdotes.
35 E houve também
holocausto em abundância, com a gordura das ofertas pacíficas, e com a oferta
de licor para os holocaustos. Assim se estabeleceu o ministério da casa do
Senhor.
36 E Ezequias, e todo o
povo se alegraram, de que Deus tinha preparado o povo; porque apressuradamente
se fez a obra.

The Levites Cleanse the Temple
12 Then the Levites arose, Mahath the son of Amassai, and Joel the son of Azariah, of the sons of the Kohathites; and of the sons of Merari, Kish the son of Abdi, and Azariah the son of Jehallelel; and of the Gershonites, Joah the son of Zimmah, and Edom the son of Joah;
13 And of the sons of Elizaphan, Shimri and Jeiel; of the sons of Asaph, Zechariah and Mattaniah;
14 And of the sons of Heman, Jeiel and Shimei; and of the sons of Jeduthun, Shemaiah and Uzziel.
15 And they gathered their brethren together, and sanctified themselves, and came according to the commandment of the king by the words of the LORD, to purify the house of the LORD.
16 Then the priests went into the house of the Lord to purify, and they brought out into the court of the house of the Lord all the unclean things that they found in the temple of the Lord. The Levites took them and carried them out to the brook Kidron.
17 So they began to sanctify on the first day of the first month. On the eighth day of the month they came to the porch of the Lord and sanctified the house of the Lord in eight days. On the sixteenth day of the first month they finished.
18 Then they went in to King Hezekiah and said, "We have cleansed the entire house of the Lord, the altar of burnt offering and all its vessels, and the table of shewbread and all its vessels.
19 And all the vessels that King Ahaz threw out in his reign in his transgression we have prepared and sanctified. And behold, they are before the altar of the Lord."

Hezekiah Orders the Cleansing of the Temple
1 Hezekiah was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Abijah the daughter of Zechariah.
2 And he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, according to all that David his father had done.
3 In the first year of his reign, in the first month, he opened the doors of the house of the Lord and repaired them.
4 Then he brought the priests and the Levites and assembled them in the square on the east side.
5 And he said to them, "Listen to me, you Levites! Now consecrate yourselves and consecrate the house of the Lord, the God of your fathers, and remove the filth from the sanctuary.
6 For our fathers transgressed and did evil in the eyes of the Lord our God, and forsook Him; and they turned their faces away from the tabernacle of the Lord and turned their backs on Him.
7 They also shut the doors of the porch, and put out the lamps, and they did not burn incense or offer burnt offerings in the sanctuary to the God of Israel.
8 Therefore the wrath of the Lord came upon Judah and Jerusalem, and he gave them over to confusion, desolation, and hissing, as you see with your own eyes.
9 For, behold, our fathers have fallen by the sword, and our sons, our daughters, and our wives have been in captivity.
10 Now it has come into my heart to make a covenant with the Lord, the God of Israel, so that his fierce anger may turn away from us.
11 And now, my sons, do not be negligent, for the Lord has chosen you to stand before him, to minister to him, and to be his ministers and to burn incense.

Ahaz Seeks Help from the Kings of Assyria and Finds None
16 At that time King Ahaz sent to the kings of Assyria to ask for help.
17 Moreover the Edumeans also came and defeated Judah and carried away captives.
18 The Philistines also invaded the cities of the plain and of the Negev of Judah, and took Beth-shemesh, Aijalon, Gederoth, and Socoh with its towns, and Ginzo with its towns, and lived there.
19 For the Lord had humbled Judah because of Ahaz king of Israel, because he had led Judah astray, and they had transgressed greatly against the Lord.
20 Then Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria came to him. but he put him in distress, and it did not strengthen him.
21 For Ahaz took a portion of the house of the Lord, and of the house of the king and of the princes, and gave it to the king of Assyria; but he did not help him.
22 And when he distressed him, he transgressed yet more against the Lord; such was King Ahaz.
23 For he sacrificed to the gods of Damascus, who had smitten him, and said, Because the gods of the kings of Syria help them, I will sacrifice to them, that they may help me. But they were the ruin of him, and of all Israel.
24 And Ahaz gathered together the vessels of the house of the Lord, and broke in pieces the vessels of the house of God, and shut up the doors of the house of the Lord, and made himself altars in every corner of Jerusalem.
25 And in every city of Judah he made high places to burn incense to other gods: thus he provoked the Lord, the God of his fathers, to anger.
26 Now the rest of his acts, and all his ways, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
27 And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city, even in Jerusalem, but they did not put him in the tombs of the kings of Israel: and Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead.

Ahaz is wicked and the Syrians oppress him
1 Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. But he did not do what was right in the eyes of the Lord, as David his father had done.
2 But he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, and made molten images for Baalim.
3 He also burned incense in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, and burned his sons in the fire, according to the abominations of the nations whom the Lord had driven out before the children of Israel.
4 He also sacrificed and burned incense on the high places and on the hills, and under every green tree.
5 Therefore the Lord his God delivered him into the hand of the king of the Syrians, who defeated him and carried away a great multitude of captives from him, and brought them to Damascus. He was also delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who struck him with a severe wound.
6 For Pekah the son of Remaliah killed in one day in Judah one hundred and twenty thousand, all of them warlike men, because they had forsaken the Lord, the God of their fathers.
7 And Zincri, a mighty man of Ephraim, killed Maaseiah the king's son, and Azrikam the governor of the house, and Elkanah, who was next to the king.
8 And the children of Israel took captive of their brethren two hundred thousand, women, sons, and daughters; and they also took much spoil from them, and brought the spoil to Samaria.
9 And there was a prophet of the Lord there, whose name was Obed; and he went out to meet the army that was coming to Samaria, and said to them, Behold, the Lord, the God of your fathers, was angry with Judah, and delivered them into your hands; and you have killed them in a rage that reached to heaven.
10 And now you are thinking of bringing the people of Judah and Jerusalem into captivity as captives, and are you not among them who are guilty of trespass against the Lord your God?
11 Now therefore listen to me, and send back the captives whom you have brought captive from your brothers, for the fierce anger of the Lord is upon you.
12 Then some of the leaders of the children of Ephraim, Azariah the son of Johanan, Berechiah the son of Meshillemoth, and Jezkiah the son of Shallum, and Amasa the son of Hadlai, rose up against those who were returning from the battle.
13 And they said to them, “You shall not bring in these captives here, because in our trespass against the Lord you intend to add to our sins and to our trespass, since we are already guilty and the fierce anger is upon Israel.”
14 Then the armed men left the captives and the spoil before the leaders and all the congregation.
15 And the men who were mentioned by name arose and took the captives, and clothed all who were naked among them with the spoil; and they clothed them, and shod them, and gave them food and drink, and anointed them; and all who were feeble they put on donkeys, and brought them to Jericho, to the city of palm trees, to their brethren; and they returned to Samaria.

Acaz é ímpio e os siros
afligem-no
1 Tinha Acaz vinte anos de
idade quando começou a reinar, e dezesseis anos reinou em Jerusalém; e não fez
o que era reto aos olhos do Senhor, como Davi seu pai.
2 Antes andou nos caminhos
dos reis de Israel, e demais disto, fez imagens fundidas a Baalim.
3 Também queimou incenso
no vale do filho de Hinom, e queimou a seus filhos no fogo, conforme às
abominações dos gentios que o Senhor tinha desterrado de diante dos filhos de
Israel.
4 Também sacrificou, e
queimou incenso nos altos e nos outeiros, como também debaixo de toda árvore
verde.
5 Pelo que o Senhor seu
Deus o entregou na mão do rei dos siros, os quais o feriram, e levaram dele em
cativeiro uma grande multidão de presos, que trouxeram a Damasco: também foi
entregue na mão do rei de Israel, o qual o feriu de grande ferida.
6 Porque Peca, filho de
Remalias, matou num dia em Judá cento e vinte mil, todos homens belicosos,
porquanto deixaram ao Senhor, Deus de seus pais.
7 E Zincri, varão potente
de Efraim, matou a Maaséias, filho do rei, e a Azricão, o mordomo, e a Elcana,
o segundo depois do rei.
8 E os filhos de Israel
levaram presos de seus irmãos duzentos mil, mulheres, filhos e filhas; e
saquearam também deles grande despojo, e trouxeram o despojo para Samaria.
9 E estava ali um profeta
do Senhor, cujo nome era Obede, o qual saiu ao encontro do exército que vinha
para Samaria, e lhe disse: Eis que, irando-se o Senhor Deus de vossos pais
contra Judá, os entregou na vossa mão, e vós os matastes com uma raiva tal, que
chegou até aos céus.
10 E agora vós cuidais em
sujeitar a vós os filhos de Judá e Jerusalém, como cativos e cativas; porventura
não sois vós mesmos aqueles entre os quais há culpas contra o Senhor vosso
Deus?
11 Agora pois ouvi-me, e
tornai a enviar os prisioneiros que trouxestes presos de vossos irmãos, porque
o ardor da ira do Senhor está sobre vós.
12 Então se levantaram
alguns homens dentre os chefes dos filhos de Efraim: Azarias, filho de Joanã,
Berequias, filho de Mesilemote, e Jezquias, filho de Salum, e Amasa, filho de
Hadlai, contra os que voltavam da batalha.
13 E lhes disseram: Não
fareis entrar aqui estes presos, porque, em relação à nossa culpa contra o
Senhor, vós intentais acrescentar mais a nossos pecados e a nossas culpas,
sendo que já temos tanta culpa, e já o ardor da ira está sobre Israel.
14 Então os homens armados
deixaram os presos e o despojo diante dos maiorais e de toda a congregação.
15 E os homens que foram
apontados por seus nomes se levantaram, e tomaram os presos, e vestiram do
despojo a todos os que dentre eles estavam nus: e os vestiram, e os calçaram, e
lhes deram de comer e de beber, e os ungiram; e a todos os que estavam fracos
levaram sobre jumentos, e os trouxeram a Jericó, à cidade das palmeiras, a seus
irmãos: depois voltaram para Samaria.

1 जब योताम राज्य करने लगा तब वह पच्चीस वर्ष का या, और सोलह वर्ष तक यरूशलेम में राज्य करता रहा; और यह उसकी माता जेरूसा का नाम था, जो सादोक की बेटी थी।
2 और उस ने वही किया जो यहोवा की दृष्टि में ठीक है, अर्थात् उसके पिता उज्जिय्याह के समान ही उसने किया, परन्तु यहोवा के भवन में प्रवेश न किया। और फिर भी लोग भ्रष्ट थे।
3 उस ने यहोवा के भवन का ऊंचा फाटक बनाया, और ओपेल की शहरपनाह पर भी बहुत कुछ बनाया।
4 और उस ने यहूदा के पहाड़ोंमें नगर बसाए, और जंगलोंमें महल और गुम्मट बनवाए।
5 और वह अम्मोनियोंके राजा से भी लड़कर उन पर प्रबल हुआ, यहां तक कि अम्मोनियोंने उस वर्ष उसको सौ किक्कार चान्दी, दस हजार कोर गेहूं, और दस हजार जौ दिया; अम्मोनियोंने दूसरे और तीसरे वर्ष भी उसको उसके पास ले आते रहे।
6 इस प्रकार योताम दृढ़ हो गया, क्योंकि वह अपके परमेश्वर यहोवा के साम्हने अपनी चाल चलाता या।
