Omri Defeats Tibni and Reigns

21- Then the people of Israel were divided into two parties: half of the people followed Tibni the son of Ginath to make him king, and the other half followed Omri.

22- But the people who followed Omri were stronger than the people who followed Tibni the son of Ginath; and Tibni died, and Omri reigned.

23- In the thirty-first year of Asa king of Judah, Omri began to reign over Israel, and reigned twelve years; and in Tirzah he reigned six years.

24- And he bought mount Samaria from Shemer for two talents of silver, and built on the mount, and called the name of the city which he built, after the name of Shemer, lord of mount Samaria.

25- And Omri did evil in the sight of the Lord: and he did worse than all who were before him.

26- And he walked in all the ways of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and in his sins with which he made Israel to sin, provoking the LORD God of Israel to anger with his vanities.

27- Now the rest of the acts of Omri, what he did, and his might which he shewed, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

28- And Omri slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria: and Ahab his son reigned in his stead.

23- No ano trinta e um  de Asa, rei de Judá, Onri começou a reinar sobre Israel, e reinou doze anos: e em Tirzá reinou seis anos.

24- E de Sêmer comprou o monte de Samaria por dois talentos de prata: e edificou em o monte, e o chamou o nome da cidade que edificou do nome Sêmer, senhor do monte de Samaria.

25- E fez Onri o que parecia mal aos olhos do Senhor; e fez pior do que todos quantos foram antes dele.

26- E andou em todos os caminhos de Jeroboão, filho de Nebat como também nos seus pecados com que tinha feito pecar a Israel, irritando ao Senhor Deus de Israel  com as suas vaidades.   

27- Qto ao mais dos sucessos de Onri, ao que fez, e ao seu poder que manifestou, porventura não está escrito no livro das crônicas dos reis de Israel?

28- E Onri dormiu com seus pais, e foi sepultado em Samaria: e Acabe, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.

8- In the twenty-sixth year of Asa king of Judah, Elah the son of Baasha began to reign over Israel in Tirzah, and reigned two years.

9- And his servant Zimri, captain of half his chariots, conspired against him, while he was in Tirzah drinking and getting drunk in the house of Arza, who was over the household in Tirzah.

10- So Zimri went in and struck him down and killed him in the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned in his place.

11- And it came to pass, when he was reigning and sitting on his throne, that he smote all the house of Baasha; he left him not a man, neither his kinsmen nor his friends.

12 So Zimri destroyed all the house of Baasha, according to the word of the Lord, which he spoke concerning Baasha through Jehu the prophet,

13 for all the sins of Baasha and the sins of Elijah his son, by which they sinned and by which they made Israel sin, provoking the Lord, the God of Israel, to anger with their vanities.

14 Now the rest of the acts of Elijah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

15 In the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, Zimri reigned in Tirzah seven days; while the people were encamped against Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines.

16 And the people who were encamped heard it said, Zimri has conspired, and has even struck down the king. So all Israel made Omri, the commander of the army in the camp, king over Israel that same day.

17 Then Omri and all Israel with him went up from Gibbethon and besieged Tirzah.

18 When Zimri saw that the city was taken, he went to the palace of the king's house and burned the king's house with fire and died.

19 Because of his sins that he had committed, doing evil in the sight of the Lord by walking in the way of Jeroboam and his sin that he committed, making Israel sin.

15- No ano vigéssimo-sétimo de Asa, rei de Judá, reinou Zinri sete dias em Tirzá; e o povo estava acampado contra Gibetom, que era dos filisteus.

16- E ouviu dizer o povo que estava acampado: Zinri tem conspirado, e até feriu o rei. Todo o Israel pois no mesmo dia fez rei sobre Israel a Onri, chefe do exército no arraial.

17- E subiu Onri, e todo o Israel com ele de Gibetom, e cercaram a Tirzá.

18- E sucedeu,que Zinri, vendo que a cidade era tomada, se foi ao paço da casa do rei; e queimou sobre si a casa do rei a fogo, e morreu,

19- Por causa dos seus pecados que cometera,fazendo o que parecia mal aos olhos do Senhor, andando no caminho de Jeroboão, e no seu pecado que fizera, fazendo  pecar a Israel.

20- Quanto ao mais dos sucessos de Zinri, e à conspiração que fez porventura não está escrito no livro das crônicas dos reis de Israel?

7- And the word of the LORD came by the hand of Jehu the son of Hanani the prophet against Baasha and against his house, because of all the evil that he had done in the sight of the LORD, provoking him to anger with the work of his hands, to be like the house of Jeroboam; and for this he had smitten him.

34- And he did evil in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the way of Jeroboam and in his sin with which he had made Israel sin.

26- And he did evil in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the ways of his father, and in the sin with which he had made Israel sin.

27- And Baasha the son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him, and Baasha struck him down at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines, while Nadab and all Israel were besieging Gibbethon.

28- And Baasha slew him in the third year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned in his stead.

29- And it came to pass, that while he reigned, he smote the whole house of Jeroboam: He left none of Jeroboam's breath until he destroyed him, according to the word of the LORD, which he spoke through his servant Ahijah the Shilonite.

30 Because of the sins of Jeroboam, which he sinned and made Israel to sin, and because of the provocation with which he provoked the LORD, the God of Israel.

32 And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.

9- In the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Asa began to reign in Judah,

10- And he reigned forty-one years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Maacah the daughter of Abisalom.

11- And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the Lord, as his father David had done.

12- For he removed the young men that were wicked out of the land, and all the idols that his fathers had made.

13- And he removed even Maacah his mother from being queen, because she had made an abominable idol for the Asherah. And Asa tore down her abominable idol, and burned it in the Kidron Valley.

14- But the high places were not removed: nevertheless the heart of Asa was right with the Lord all his days.

15- And he brought into the house of the Lord the dedicated things of his father, and the things which he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.

16- And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.

17- For Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that no man might be permitted to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah. ​​

18- Then Asa took all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the house of the Lord, and the treasuries of the king's house, and delivered them into the hand of his servants. And King Asa sent them to Ben-hadad the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who dwelt in Damascus, saying,

19- There is a covenant between me and thee, and between my father and thy father: see, I send thee a present, silver and gold: Go, break your covenant with Baasha king of Israel, so that he may withdraw from me.

21- And it came to pass, when Baasha heard it, that he left off building Ramah, and dwelt in Tirzah.

22- Then King Asa made a proclamation throughout all Judah, that they should bring the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, with which Baasha had built: and with them King Asa built Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.

23 Now the rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? But in his old age he was afflicted with his feet.

24 And Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead.

9- E no vigéssimo ano de Jeroboão, rei de Israel, começou Asa a reinar em Judá,

10- E quarenta e um anos reinou em Jerusalém: e era o nome de sua mãe Maaca, filha de Abisalom.

11- E Asa fez o que parecia reto aos olhos do Senhor, como Davi, seu pai.

12- Porque tirou da terra os rapazes escandalosos, e tirou todos os ídolos que seus pais fizeram.

13- E até a Maaca, sua mãe, removeu para que não fosse rainha, porquanto tinha feito um horrível ídolo a Asera: Também Asa desfez o  seu ídolo horrível, e o queimou junto ao ribeiro de Cedrom.

14- Os altos porém não se tiraram: todavia foi o coração de Asa reto para com o Senhor todos os seus dias.

15- E à casa do Senhor trouxe as coisas consagradas de seu pai, e as coisas que ele mesmo consagrara: prata e ouro e vasos.

16- E houve guerra entre Asa e Baasa, rei de Israel, todos os seus dias.

17- Porque Baasa, rei de Israel, subiu contra Judá, e edificou a Ramá, para que ninguém fosse permitido sair nem entrar junto a Asa, rei de Judá.

18- Então Asa tomou toda a prata e ouro que ficara nos tesouros da casa do Senhor, e os tesouros da casa do rei, e os entregou nas mãos de seus servos: e o rei Asa os enviou a Benadade, filho de Tabrimom, filho de Heziom, rei da Síria, que habitava em Damasco, dizendo:

19- Aliança há entre mim e ti, entre meu pai e teu pai: vês aqui que te mando um presente, prata e ouro; vai, e anula a tua aliança com Baasa, rei de Israel, para que se retire de sobre mim.

20- E Benadade deu ouvidos ao rei Asa, e enviou aos capitães dos exércitos que tinha contra as cidades de Israel: e feriu a Ijom, e a Dã, e a Abel, de Bete-Maaca, e a toda a Quinerote, com toda a terra de Naftali.

21- E sucedeu que, ouvindo-o Baasa, deixou de edificar a Ramá, e ficou em Tirzá:

22- Então o rei Asa fez apregoar por toda a Judá que todos, sem exceção, trouxessem as pedras de Ramá, e a sua madeira com que Baasa edificara: e com elas edificou o rei Asa a Geba de Benjamim e a Mizpá.

23- Quanto ao mais de todos os sucessos de Asa, e a todo o seu poder, e a tudo quanto fez, e as cidades que edificou, porventura não está escrito no livro das crônicas dos reis de Judá? Porém, no tempo da sua velhice, padeceu dos pés.

24- E Asa dormiu com seus pais, e foi sepultado com seus pais na cidade de Davi, seu pai; e Josafá, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.

Abijam imitates the wickedness of his father Rehoboam

1- In the eighteenth year of King Jeroboam the son of Nebat, Abijam began to reign over Judah.

2- And he reigned in Jerusalem three years: and his mother's name was Maacah the daughter of Abishalon.

3- And he walked in all the sins that his father had done before him: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.

4- But for David's sake the LORD gave him a lamp in Jerusalem, by raising up his son after him, and establishing Jerusalem.

5- Because David had done that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, and had not turned aside from all that He commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.

6- And there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days of his life.

7- Now the rest of the acts of Abijam, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? There was war between Abijam and Jeroboam.

8- And Abijam slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead.

Abião imita a impiedade de seu pai Roboão

1- E no décimo oitavo ano do rei Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, Abião começou a reinar sobre Judá.

2- E três anos reinou em Jerusalém: e era o nome de sua mãe Maaca, filha de Abisalom.

3- E andou em todos os pecados que seu pai tinha cometido antes dele: e seu coração não foi perfeito para com o Senhor seu Deus como o coração de Davi, seu pai.

4- Mas por amor de Davi o Senhor lhe deu uma lâmpada em Jerusalém, levantando a seu filho depois dele, e confirmando a Jerusalém.

5- Porquanto Davi tinha feito o que parecia reto aos olhos do Senhor, e não se tinha desviado de tudo o que lhe ordenara em todos os dias de sua vida, senão só no negócio de Urias, o heteu.

6- E houve guerra entre Roboão e Jeroboão todos os dias da sua vida.

7- Quanto ao mais dos sucessos de Abião, e a tudo quanto fez, porventura não está escrito no livro das crônicas dos reis de Judá? Também houve guerra entre Abião e Jeroboão.
