The people ask Moses to receive the law of the Lord
22 These words the LORD spake unto all your congregation in the mount, out of the midst of the fire, and out of the cloud, and out of darkness, with a loud voice, and added not: and he wrote them upon two tables of stone, and gave unto me.
23 And it came to pass, when the voice heard in the midst of darkness, and when the mountain was kindled afire, ye came unto me, all the heads of your tribes, and your elders;
24 And you said, "Behold, the Lord your God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: this day we have seen that God speaketh unto man, and that man liveth.
25 Now why should we die? for this great fire would consume us: if we would yet hear the voice of the Lord our God, we shall die.
26 For who is there of all flesh, who heard the voice of the living God speaking from the midst of the fire like us, and was he alive?
27 Come, thou, and hear all that Jehovah our God saith, and thou shalt speak unto us all that the Lord our God shall say, and we will hear, and do.
28 When the Lord heard the voice of your words, when you spoke to me, the Lord said to me, "I have heard the voice of the words of this people, who have said to you, 'In all things they have spoken well.
29 I wish they had such a heart to fear me, and to keep all my commandments every day, that it might be well with them and their children forever!
30 Go, tell them, return to your tents.
31 But thou art here with me, that I may tell thee all the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which thou shalt teach them to do in the land which I will give them to possess it.
32 Be careful therefore to do as the Lord your God has commanded you: you shall not turn to the right hand or to the left.
33 And ye shall walk in all the way, which the LORD your God commandeth you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye prolong the days in the land which ye shall possess.

O povo pede a Moisés para receber a lei do Senhor
22 Estas palavras falou o Senhor a toda vossa congregação no monte, do meio do fogo, da nuvem e da escuridade, com grande voz, e nada acrescentou: e as escreveu em duas tábuas de pedra, e a mim mas deu.
23 E sucedeu que, ouvindo a voz no meio das trevas e vendo o monte ardendo em fogo, vos achegastes a mim, todos os cabeças das vossas tribos, e vossos anciãos;
24 E dissestes: Eis aqui o Senhor vosso Deus nos fez ver a sua glória e a sua grandeza, e ouvimos a sua voz do meio do fogo: hoje vimos que Deus fala com o homem, e que o homem fica vivo.
25 Agora pois, por que morreríamos? pois este grande fogo nos consumiria: se ainda mais ouvíssemos a voz do Senhor nosso Deus, morreríamos.
26 Porque, quem há de toda a carne, que ouviu a voz do Deus vivente falando do meio do fogo, como nós, e ficou vivo?
27 Chega te tu, e ouve tudo que disser o Senhor nosso Deus: e tu nos dirás tudo o que disser o Senhor nosso Deus, e o ouviremos, e faremos.
28 Ouvindo pois o Senhor a voz das vossas palavras, quando me faláveis a mim, o Senhor me disse: Eu ouvi a voz das palavras deste povo, que te disseram: em tudo falaram eles bem.
29 Quem dera que eles tivesse tal coração que me temessem, e guardassem todos os meus mandamentos todos os dias, para que bem lhes fosse a eles e a seus filhos para sempre!
30 Vai, dize-lhes: tornai-vos ás vossas tendas.
31 Porém tu estas aqui comigo para que eu a ti te diga todos os mandamentos, e estatutos, e juízos, que tu lhes hás de ensinar que cumpram na terra que eu lhes darei para possuí-la.
32 Olhai pois que façais como vos mandou o Senhor vosso Deus: não declinareis, nem para a direita nem para a esquerda.
33 Andareis em todo o caminho que vos manda o Senhor vosso Deus, para que vivais e bem vos suceda, e prolongueis os dias na terra que haveis de possuir.

1 And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak unto you this day in the ears: and ye shall learn them, and keep them, to do them.
2 The LORD our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.
3 Not with our fathers did the Lord make this covenant, but with us, all who are alive here today.
4 The Lord spoke to us on the mountain in the midst of the fire face to face.
5 At that time I was standing between the Lord and you, to tell you the word of the Lord: for you have feared the fire, and you did not go up to the mountain, saying,
6 I am the LORD thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage:
7 Thou shalt have no other gods before me;
8 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of that which is upon heaven, or upon the earth beneath, or in the waters beneath the earth:
9 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, neither shalt thou serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, that I visit the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third generation of them that hate me,
10 And I have mercy on thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
11 Thou shalt not take the name of thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless to take his name in vain;
12 Keep the Sabbath day holy, as the Lord your God has commanded.
13 Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work,
14 But on the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: thou shalt not do any work therein, nor thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy maidservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy ox, nor thy ass, nor any animal of yours, nor the stranger that is within thy gates: that thy servant and thy handmaid may rest as thou art;
15 For thou shalt remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence with a mighty hand and a stretched out arm: therefore the Lord thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.
16 Honor thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee, that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may be well with thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
17 Thou shalt not kill.
18 And thou shalt not commit adultery.
19 And you shall not steal.
20 And thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
21 And thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, neither shalt thou desire thy neighbor's house, nor his field, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any of thy neighbor's.

1 E chamou Moisés a todo o Israel, e disse-lhes: Ouve, ó Israel, os estatutos e juízos que hoje vos falo aos ouvidos: e aprendê-los-eis, e guardá-los-eis, para os cumprir.
2 O Senhor nosso Deus fez conosco concerto em Horebe.
3 Não com nossos pais fez o Senhor este concerto, senão conosco, todos os que hoje aqui estamos vivos.
4 Cara a cara o Senhor falou conosco no monte, no meio do fogo.
5 ( Naquele tempo eu estava em pé entre o Senhor e vós, para vos notificar a palavra do Senhor: porque temestes o fogo, e não subistes ao monte), dizendo:
6 Eu sou o Senhor teu Deus, que te tirei da terra do Egito, da casa da servidão:
7 Não teras outros deuses diante de mim;
8 Não farás para ti imagem de escultura, nem semelhança alguma do que há em cima do céu, nem embaixo na terra, nem nas águas debaixo da terra:
9 Não te encurvarás a elas, nem as servirás: porque eu, o Senhor teu Deus, sou Deus zeloso, que visito a maldade dos pais sobre os filhos até à terceira geração daqueles que me aborrecem,
10 E faço misericórdia em milhares aos que me amam e guardam os meus mandamentos.
11 Não tomarás o nome do teu Deus em vão: porque o Senhor não terá por inocente ao que tomar o seu nome em vão;
12 Guarda o dia de sábado, para o santificar, como ordenou o Senhor teu Deus.
13 Seis dias trabalharás, e farás toda a tua obra,
14 Mas ao sétimo dia é o sábado do Senhor teu Deus: não farás nenhuma obra nele, nem tu, nem teu filho, nem tua filha, nem o teu servo, nem a tua serva, nem o teu boi, nem o teu jumento, nem animal nenhum teu, nem o estrangeiro que está dentro das tuas portas: para que o teu servo e a tua serva descansem como tu;
15 Porque te lembrarás que foste servo na terra do Egito, e que o Senhor teu Deus te tirou dali com mão forte e braço estendido: pelo que o Senhor teu Deus te ordenou que guardasses o dia de sábado.
16 Honra o teu pai e a tua mãe, como o Senhor teu Deus te ordenou, para que se prolonguem os teus dias, e para que te vá bem na terra que te dá o Senhor teu Deus.
17 Não matarás.
18 E não adulterarás.
19 E não furtarás.
20 E não dirás falso testemunho contra o teu próximo.
21 E não cobiçarás a mulher do teu próximo: e não desejarás a casa do teu próximo, nem seu campo, nem o seu servo, nem a sua serva, nem o seu boi, nem o seu jumento, nem coisa alguma do teu próximo.

41 और मूसा ने जॉर्डन से परे तीन शहरों को सूर्य के उदय के बैंड से विभाजित किया;
42 कि हत्यारे को चुना जाना चाहिए कि गलती से उसके पड़ोसी को मारना चाहिए, जिसे वह पहले से नफरत नहीं करता था: और अगर उसने इन शहरों में से एक को चुना, और जीवित रहा;

3 And Jehovah our God also gave us Og king of Bashan, and all his people, in our hand: so that we smote him, till no man left him.
4 And at that time we took all their cities; no city had we taken them: sixty cities, all the border of the land of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
5 All these cities were fortified with high walls, and gates, and bars: and many cities without walls.
6 And we have destroyed them as we have done to Sihon king of Heshbon, destroying all cities, men, women, and children.
7 But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, are taken for a prey.
8 And at that time we took the land out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites, which were beyond the Jordan: from the river Arnon to mount Hermon;
9 (The Sidonians call Hermom Sirion, but the Amorites call him Senir.)
10 All the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, to Salcah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

16 And the Reubenites and the Gadites I gave from Gilead to the brook of Arnon, the middle of the brook, and the border: and unto the brook Jabbok, the border of the children of Ammon.
17 As also the plain, and the Jordan with the border: from Chinnereth to the sea of the plain, the Salt Sea, under Ashdod-Pisgah to the east.
18 And I commanded you again at the same time, saying, The LORD your God hath given you this land to possess it: then let all the mighty men come over before your brethren the children of Israel.
19 Only your wives, and your children, and your cattle (for I know that you have much cattle) shall remain in your cities, which I have given you;
20 Until the Lord give your brothers rest as yourselves, that they also may inherit the land which the LORD your God will give them over the Jordan: then you shall return every one to his inheritance which I have given you.
21 And I commanded Joshua at the same time, saying, Thine eyes behold all that the LORD thy God hath done unto these two kings: so shall the LORD do unto all kingdoms, and that thou shalt pass over.

19 Tão somente vossas mulheres, e vossas crianças, e vosso gado ( porque eu sei que tendes muito gado) ficarão nas vossas cidades, que já vos tenho dado;

11 These were also numbered by giants like the Elya: and the Moabites called them Emes.
12 Before the Horites also they dwelt in Seir; but the sons of Esau threw them out, and destroyed them from before them, and dwelt in their place, as Israel did unto the land of their inheritance, which the LORD had given them.
13 Arise now, and pass over the brook Zeredde: and we pass over the brook Zered.
14 And the days that we journeyed from Kadesh-barnea until we passed over the river Zeredim were thirty-eight years, until all that generation of the men of war was consumed out of the midst of the camp, as Jehovah sware unto them.
15 And the hand of Jehovah was against them, to destroy them in the midst of the camp until they were consumed.
16 And it came to pass, when all the men of war were consumed by death in the midst of the camp.
17 The Lord spoke to me, saying,
18 You shall pass through Ar into the borders of Moab;
19 And he shall come before the children of Ammon: and do not trouble them, and do not quarrel with them: for I will not give you an inheritance out of the land of the children of Ammon, because I have inherited the children of Lot.
20 [This one also was numbered by the land of giants; Giants dwelt therein, and the Ammonites called them Zanzumeus:
21 A great people, great and great, like the giants: and the LORD destroyed them from before them, and they cast him out, and dwelt in his place;
22 As he did to the sons of Esau, who dwelt in Seir, from whom he destroyed the Horites; and they cast them out, and dwelt in their place unto this day;
23 And the Kohathites, which went forth from Caphtor, destroyed the Avites, which dwelt in Hazerim unto Gaza, and dwelt in their place.
24 Arise, go and pass over the brook of Arnon; behold, I have given Sihon, the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: and he hath taken possession of it, and hast disputed with them in battle.
25 In this day I will begin to bring terror and fear before the peoples under all heaven: those who hear his fame will tremble before you and be distressed.
26 Then I sent messengers from the wilderness of Kedemoth to Sihon king of Heshbon with words of peace, saying,
27 Let me pass through your land: I will go by the highway alone; I will not turn to the right or the left.
28 The food that I eat, you will sell me for money, and you will give me for money water that drinks: so let me go on foot;
29 As the sons of Esau, who dwell in Seir, and the Moabites who dwell in Ar, have done to me; until I pass over Jordan, the land which the Lord our God will give us.
30 And Sihon the king of Heshbon would not suffer us to pass through him, because the LORD thy God hardened his spirit, and hardened his heart to give it into thine hand, as it is this day.
31 And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have begun to give thee to Sihon, and his land before thee: therefore begin to possess it, that thou mayest inherit its land.
32 And Sihon went out against us, he and all his people, to the battle, to Jahaz:
33 And the LORD our God delivered him before us, and smote him, and his sons, and all his people.
34 And at that time we took all the cities, and destroyed all cities, men, and women and children: we left no man.
35 We took the cattle for ourselves, and the spoil of the cities which we had taken.
36 From Aroer, which is on the border of the brook of Arnon, and the city that is by the brook, even unto Gilead, there was no city left of us: for all this the Lord our God hath delivered before us.
37 Only the land of the children of Ammon came not to the edge of the brook Jabbok, nor to the cities of the mountain, nor any thing which Jehovah our God had forbidden to us.
