5 And when Aaron and his sons go forth from the camp, they shall come and take the veil out of the covering, and cover the ark of the testimony with it;

6 And a covering of badgers' skins shall be put on it, and on it shall they spread a cloth, all blue, and shall put the staves on it.

7 And on the table of the proposition shall they spread a blue cloth, and put the dishes thereon, and the censers thereof, and the bowls, and the shields thereof; even the continual bread shall be upon it.

8 And they shall spread upon them a cloth of crimson, and cover it with the covering of badgers' skins, and shall put their staves thereon.

9 And they shall take a cloth of blue, and cover the lampstand of the lamp, and its lamps, and its snuffers, and its pillars, and all its vessels of oil, wherewith they minister unto it.

21 Of Gershon is the generation of the Libnites, and the generation of the Shimeites: these are the generations of the Gershonites.

22 Those that were numbered of them by the number of all the males from a month old and upward, those that were numbered of them were seven thousand and five hundred.

23 The generations of the Gershonites shall set their tents behind the tabernacle westward.

24 And the prince of the father-house of the Gershonites shall be Eliasaph the son of Lael.

25 And the guard of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of the congregation shall be the tabernacle, and the tabernacle, and the covering thereof, and the veil of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation,

26 And the curtains of the court, and the pavilion of the gate of the court, which are by the tabernacle, and by the altar round about: and their cords for all their service.

27 And of Kohath is the generation of the Anramites, and the generation of the Gizaites, and the generation of the Hebronites, and the generation of the Uzzielites: these are the generations of the Kohathites.

28 By the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, there were eight thousand and six hundred, who took care of the care of the sanctuary.

36 And the boards of the children of Merari shall be the tables of the tabernacle, and their staves, and their pillars, and their sockets, and all their vessels, and all their service,

38 And they that shall set up their tents before the tabernacle eastward before the tabernacle of the congregation unto the east side shall be Moses and Aaron, and their sons, and he shall keep the charge of the sanctuary for the charge of the children of Israel. : and the stranger who comes will die.

39 All that were numbered of the Levites, which Moses and Aaron numbered by the commandment of the LORD, according to their generations, every male of a month and upward were twenty and two thousand.

40 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Let all the firstborn of the children of Israel be numbered from one month old and upward, and take the number of their names.

41 And for me you shall take the Levites (I am the Lord) instead of all the firstborn of the children of Israel, and the beasts of the Levites, instead of all the firstborn among the beasts of the children of Israel.

42 And Moses numbered, as the LORD had commanded, all the firstborn among the children of Israel.

43 And all the firstborn of the males, by the number of the names of those from a month old and upward, according to those that were numbered of them, were twenty and two thousand and two hundred and seventy and three.

44 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

45 The Levites take the place of all the firstborn among the children of Israel, and the Levites over their livestock: for the Levites shall be mine: I am the LORD.

46 As for the two hundred and seventy-three who are to be redeemed, who surpass the Levites of the firstborn of the children of Israel,

47 And thou shalt take five shekels for each head: according to the shekel of the sanctuary thou shalt take them twenty shekels of the shekel.

48 And to Aaron and to his sons thou shalt give the money of the redeemed, of them that remain above them.

49 And Moses took the money of the ransom of the remnant of the Levites.

50 Of the firstborn of the children of Israel he took the money, a thousand and three hundred and sixty-five shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary.

51 And Moses gave the money of the ransomed to Aaron and to his sons, according to the commandment of the LORD, as Jehovah commanded Moses.

3 Estes são os nomes dos filhos de arão, dos sacerdotes ungidos, cujas mãos foram sagradas para administrar o sacerdócio.
4 Mas Nadabe e Abiú morreram perante o Senhor, quando ofereceram fogo estranho perante o Senhor no deserto de Sinai, e não tiveram filhos: porém Eleazar e Itamar administraram o sacerdócio diante de Arão , seu pai.
5 E falou o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:
6 Faze chegar a tribo de Levi, e pões-na diante de Arão, o sacerdote, para que o sirvam,
7 E tenham cuidado da sua guarda, e da guarda de toda a congregação, diante da tenda da congregação, para administrar o ministério do tabernáculo.

13 Porque todo o primogênito meu é: desde o dia em que feri a todo o primogênito na terra do Egito, santifiquei para mim todo o primogênito em Israel, desde o homem até ao animal: meus serão; eu sou o Senhor.
14 E falou o Senhor a Moisés no deserto de Sinai, dizendo:
15 Conta os filhos de Levi, segundo a casa de seus pais, pelas suas gerações; contarás a todo o varão da idade de um mês para cima.
16 E Moisés os contou conforme ao mandado do Senhor, como lhe foi ordenado.
17 Estes pois foram os filhos de Levi pelos seus nomes: Gérson, e Coate e Merari.
18 E estes são os filhos de Gérson pelas suas gerações: Libni e Simei.
19 E os filhos de Coate pelas as suas gerações: Anrão, e Gizar, Hebrom e Uziel.
20 E os filhos de Merari pelas suas gerações: Maeli e Musí: estas são as gerações dos levitas, segundo a casa de seus pais.
21 De Gérson é a geração dos libnitas e a geração dos simeítas: estas são as gerações dos gersonitas.

37 E as colunas do pátio em redor, e as suas bases, e as suas estacas e as suas cordas.
38 E os que assentarão as suas tendas diante do tabernáculo, ao oriente, diante da tenda da congregação, para a banda do nascente, serão Moisés e Arão, com seus filhos, tendo o cuidado da guarda do santuário, para guarda dos filhos de Israel: e o estranho que se chegar morrerá.
39 Todos os que foram contados dos levitas, que contou Moisés e Arão, por mandado do Senhor, segundo as suas gerações, todo o varão de um mês e para cima foram vinte e dois mil.
40 E disse o Senhor a Moisés: conta todo o primogênito varão dos filhos de Israel da idade de um mês para cima, e toma o número dos seus nomes.
41 E para mim tomarás os levitas ( eu sou o Senhor ), em lugar de todo o primogênito dos filhos de Israel, e os animais dos levitas, em lugar de todo o primogênito entre os animais dos filhos de Israel.
42 E contou Moisés, como o Senhor lhe ordenara, todo o primogênito entre os filhos de Israel.
43 E todos os primogênitos dos varões, pelo número dos nomes dos de idade de um mês para cima, segundo os que foram contados deles, foram vinte e dois mil e duzentos e setenta e três.
44 E falou o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:
45 Toma os levitas um lugar de todo o primogênito entre os filhos de Israel, e os animais dos levitas em lugar de seus animais: porquanto os levitas serão meus: Eu sou o Senhor.
46 Quanto aos duzentos e setenta e três, que se houverem de resgatar, que sobrepujam aos levitas dos primogênitos dos filhos de Israel,
47 Tomarás por cada cabeça cinco siclos: conforme o siclo do santuário os tomarás, a vinte geras o siclo.
48 E a Arão e a seus filhos darás o dinheiro dos resgatados, dos que sobejamentre eles.
49 Então Moisés tomou o dinheiro do resgate dos que sobejaram sobre os resgatados pelos levitas.
50 Dos primogênitos dos filhos de Israel tomou o dinheiro, mil e trezentos e sessenta e cinco siclos, segundo o siclo do santuário.
51 E Moisés deu o dinheiro dos resgatados a Arão e a seus filhos, segundo o mandado do Senhor, como o Senhor ordenara a Moisés.
