Deuteronomy 31 Moses names Joshua his successor

Deuteronomy 31
Moses names Joshua his successor
1 And Moses went and spake these words unto all Israel.
2 And he said unto them, I am a hundred and twenty years old this day: I will no longer be able to go out and come in: and Jehovah said unto me, Thou shalt not pass over Jordan.
3 The Lord your God will pass before you; he will destroy these nations before you, that you may possess them: Joshua shall pass before you, as the LORD hath said.
4 And the LORD will do unto them as he did to Sihon and to Og, kings of the Amorites, and to their land, which he destroyed.
5 When therefore the Lord gives them before you, then shall ye do with him according to all the commandment which I have commanded you.
6 Strive and be encouraged; do not be afraid, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD your God is going with you; It will not leave you nor forsake you.
7 And Moses called Joshua, and said unto him in the eyes of all Israel, Be strong and brighten; For with this people you shall enter into the land which the Lord has sworn to your fathers to give them. and you will make them inherit it,
8 The Lord is the one who goes before you: he will be with you, will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear or be afraid.
