पापी का दुःख और पश्चाताप; क्षमा और उद्धार के लिए परमेश्वर की ओर मुड़ना

1 हे प्रभु, अपने क्रोध में मुझे मत डाँटो, न ही अपने क्रोध में मुझे ताड़ना करो।

2 क्योंकि तुम्हारे तीर मुझमें गहरे धँस गए हैं, और तुम्हारा हाथ मुझ पर पड़ा है।

3 तुम्हारे क्रोध के कारण मेरे शरीर में कोई स्वस्थता नहीं है, न ही मेरे पाप के कारण मेरी हड्डियों में कोई शांति है।

4 क्योंकि मेरे अधर्म मेरे सिर पर चढ़ गए हैं; वे मेरे लिए भारी बोझ के समान हैं।

5 मेरी मूर्खता के कारण मेरे घाव दुर्गंधयुक्त और भ्रष्ट हो गए हैं।

6 मैं झुका हुआ हूँ, मैं बहुत नीचे हूँ; मैं दिन भर विलाप करता फिरता हूँ।

7 क्योंकि मेरी भुजाएँ जलन से भरी हैं, और मेरे शरीर में कोई स्वस्थता नहीं है।

8 मैं दुर्बल और बहुत टूटा हुआ हूँ; मैं अपने हृदय की बेचैनी के कारण दहाड़ता हूँ।

9 हे यहोवा, मेरी सारी अभिलाषा तेरे सम्मुख है, और मेरा कराहना तुझ से छिपा नहीं है।

10 मेरा हृदय व्याकुल है, मेरा बल जाता रहा है; मेरी आंखों की ज्योति भी मुझ से जाती रही है।

11 मेरे मित्र और मेरे निकट जन मेरे दु:ख से विमुख हो गए हैं, और मेरे कुटुम्बी दूर खड़े हो गए हैं।

12 मेरे प्राण के खोजी जाल बिछाते हैं, और मेरे अनिष्ट के खोजी बुरी बातें बोलते हैं, और दिन भर छल की युक्तियां रचते रहते हैं।

13 परन्तु मैं बहरे के समान न सुनता, और गूंगे के समान अपना मुंह न खोलता।

14 मैं ऐसे मनुष्य के समान हूं जो न सुनता, और जिसके मुंह में डांट रहती है।

15 क्योंकि हे यहोवा, मैं तेरी बाट जोहता हूं; हे मेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा, तू मेरी सुन लेगा।

16 क्योंकि मैं ने कहा, मेरी सुन, कहीं ऐसा न हो कि वे मुझ पर आनन्दित हों; जब मेरा पांव फिसलता है, तब वे मेरे विरुद्ध बड़ाई मारते हैं।

17 क्योंकि मैं लंगड़ाने को तैयार हूं; मेरा दर्द निरन्तर मेरे सामने रहता है। 

18 क्योंकि मैं अपने अधर्म को मान लूंगा, और अपने पाप के कारण शोकित होऊंगा।

 19 परन्तु मेरे शत्रु जीवित और सामर्थी हैं, और जो अकारण मुझसे बैर रखते हैं, वे अपना मुंह बड़ा करते हैं। 

20 जो भलाई के बदले बुराई करते हैं, वे मेरे विरोधी हैं, क्योंकि मैं भलाई का पीछा करता हूं। 

21 हे मेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा, मुझे न छोड़, मुझ से दूर न रह। 

22 हे मेरे उद्धारकर्ता यहोवा, मेरी सहायता करने के लिए फुर्ती कर।

The Sinner's Sorrow and Repentance; Turning to God for Forgiveness and Salvation

1 O Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger, nor chasten me in your hot displeasure.

2 For your arrows have sunk deep into me, and your hand has fallen upon me.

3 There is no soundness in my flesh because of your anger, nor is there any peace in my bones because of my sin.

4 For my iniquities are gone over my head; they are like a heavy burden for me to bear.

5 My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my folly.

6 I am bowed down, I am very low; I go about mourning all the day long.

7 For my sides are full of burning, and there is no soundness in my flesh.

8 I am weak and very broken; I have roared because of the disquietude of my heart.

9 Lord, all my desire is before you, and my groaning is not hidden from you.

10 My heart is in turmoil, my strength fails me; even the light of my eyes has gone from me.

11 My friends and my close ones have turned away from my suffering, and my relatives have stood far away.

12 Those who seek my life lay a trap, and those who seek my harm speak evil, and devise deceit all day long.

13 But I, like a deaf man, did not hear, and like a mute man, did not open my mouth.

14 So I am like a man who does not hear, and in whose mouth is rebuke.

15 For in you, O Lord, I wait; you, O Lord my God, will hear me. 

16 For I said, "Hear me, lest they rejoice over me; when my foot slips, they magnify themselves against me."

 17 For I am ready to limp; my pain is continually before me. 

18 For I will confess my iniquity; I will grieve because of my sin.

 19 But my enemies are alive and strong, and those who hate me without cause magnify themselves.

 20 Those who repay evil for good are my adversaries, because I follow what is good. 

21 Do not forsake me, O Lord my God; do not be far from me. 

22 Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation.

1 Ó Senhor, não me repreendas na tua ira, nem me castigues no teu furor.

2 Porque as tuas flechas se cravaram em mim, e a tua mão sobre mim desceu.

3 Não há coisa sã na minha carne, por causa da tua cólera; nem há paz em meus ossos, por causa do meu pecado.

4 Pois já as minhas iniqüidades ultrapassam a minha cabeça: como carga pesada são de mais para as minhas forças.

5 As minhas chagas cheiram mal e estão corruptas, por causa da minha loucura.

6 Estou encurvado, estou muito abatido, ando lamentando todo o dia.

7 Porque as minhas ilhargas estão cheias de ardor, e não há coisa sã na minha carne.

8 Estou fraco e mui quebrantado; tenho rugido por causa do desassossego do meu coração.

9 Senhor, diante de ti está todo o meu desejo, e o meu gemido não te é oculto.

10 O meu coração dá voltas, a minha força me falta; quanto à luz dos meus olhos, até essa me deixou.

11 Os meus amigos e os meus propínquos afastam-se da minha chaga; e os meus parentes se põem em distância.

12 Também os que buscam a minha vida armam laços, e os que procuram o meu mal dizem coisas que danificam, e imaginam astúcias todo o dia.

13 Mas eu, como surdo, não ouvia, e como mudo, não abri a boca.

14 Assim eu sou como homem que não ouve, e em cuja boca há reprovação.

15 Porque em ti, Senhor, espero; tu, Senhor meu Deus, me ouvirás.

16 Porque dizia eu: Ouve-me, para que se não alegrem de mim: quando escorrega o meu pé, eles se engrandecem contra mim.

17 Porque estou prestes a coxear; a minha dor está constantemente perante mim.

18 Porque eu confessarei a minha iniqüidade; afligir-me-ei por causa do meu pecado.

19 Mas os meus inimigos estão vivos e são fortes, e os que sem causa me odeiam se engrandecem.

20 Os que dão mal pelo bem são meus adversários, porque eu sigo o que é bom.

21 Não me desampares, Senhor, meu Deus, não te alongues de mim.

22 Apressa-te em meu auxílio, Senhor, minha salvação.

1 दुष्टों के कारण मत कुढ़, और न अधर्म करनेवालों से ईर्ष्या कर।

2 क्योंकि वे शीघ्र ही घास की नाईं कट जाएंगे, और घास की नाईं सूख जाएंगे।

3 यहोवा पर भरोसा रख और भलाई कर; तू देश में बसा रहेगा, और सचमुच तृप्त होगा।

4 यहोवा पर प्रसन्न रह, और वह तेरे मन की इच्छाएं पूरी करेगा।

5 अपना मार्ग यहोवा पर छोड़; उस पर भरोसा रख, और वह उसे पूरा करेगा।

6 और वह तेरे धर्म को ज्योति के समान, और तेरे न्याय को दोपहर के उजाले के समान चमकाएगा।

7 यहोवा पर भरोसा रख, और धीरज से उसका इन्तजार कर। जो अपने मार्ग में सफल होता है, उसके कारण, और जो दुष्टता लाता है, उसके कारण मत कुढ़।

8 क्रोध से दूर रह, और जलजलाहट को त्याग; बुराई करने से मत कुढ़। 

9 क्योंकि कुकर्मी लोग नाश हो जाएंगे, परन्तु जो यहोवा की बाट जोहते हैं, वे पृथ्वी के अधिकारी होंगे।

10 क्योंकि थोड़े दिन के बीतने पर दुष्ट लोग न रहेंगे; तू उसके स्थान पर दृष्टि करेगा, परन्तु वह वहां न होगा।

11 परन्तु नम्र लोग पृथ्वी के अधिकारी होंगे, और बड़ी शान्ति के कारण आनन्दित होंगे।

12 दुष्ट धर्मी के विरुद्ध षड्यन्त्र रचता है, और उस पर दांत पीसता है।

13 यहोवा उस पर हंसेगा, क्योंकि वह देखता है कि उसका दिन आनेवाला है।

14 दुष्टों ने तलवार खींची है, और धनुष चढ़ाया है, कि दीन-दुखियों को गिरा दें, और जो धर्मी मार्ग पर चलते हैं, उनका वध करें।

15 परन्तु उनकी तलवार उनके अपने हृदय में चुभेगी, और उनके धनुष टूट जाएंगे।

16 धर्मी के पास जो थोड़ा है, वह बहुत दुष्टों के धन से उत्तम है।

17 क्योंकि दुष्टों की भुजाएं टूट जाएंगी, परन्तु यहोवा धर्मी को सम्भालता है। 

18 यहोवा धर्मी लोगों के दिन जानता है, और उनकी मीरास सदैव बनी रहेगी।

19 बुरे दिन में वे लज्जित नहीं होंगे, और अकाल के दिनों में वे तृप्त रहेंगे।

20 परन्तु दुष्ट नाश हो जाएँगे, और यहोवा के शत्रु मेमनों की चर्बी के समान हो जाएँगे; वे लुप्त हो जाएँगे और धुएँ में उड़ जाएँगे।

21 दुष्ट उधार लेता है और चुकाता नहीं, परन्तु धर्मी दया करके देता है।

22 क्योंकि जिनको वह आशीर्वाद देता है, वे देश के वारिस होंगे, और जिनको वह शाप देता है, वे नाश हो जाएँगे।

23 भले मनुष्य के कदम यहोवा के मार्ग पर चलते हैं, और वह अपने काम से प्रसन्न रहता है।

24 चाहे वह गिरे, तौभी पूरी तरह गिरा न जाएगा, क्योंकि यहोवा उसे अपने हाथ से थामे रहता है।

25 मैं जवान था, और अब बूढ़ा हो गया हूँ; तौभी मैंने कभी धर्मी को त्यागा हुआ, और न उसके वंश को रोटी माँगते देखा है। 

26 वह सदा दयालु और उधार देनेवाला है, और उसके वंश को आशीष मिलती है।

27 बुराई से दूर रहो और भलाई करो, और तुम सर्वदा बसे रहोगे।

28 क्योंकि यहोवा न्याय से प्रीति रखता है, और अपने पवित्र लोगों को न त्यागेगा; वे सर्वदा सुरक्षित रहते हैं, परन्तु दुष्टों का वंश नाश हो जाएगा।

29 धर्मी लोग देश के अधिकारी होंगे, और उसमें सर्वदा बसे रहेंगे।

30 धर्मी के मुँह से बुद्धि की बातें निकलती हैं, और उसकी जीभ से धार्मिकता की बातें निकलती हैं।

31 उसके परमेश्वर की व्यवस्था उसके हृदय में रहती है, और उसका कोई पग डगमगाता नहीं।

32 दुष्ट धर्मी पर दृष्टि करके उसे मार डालने का यत्न करता है।

33 यहोवा उसे उसके हाथ में न छोड़ेगा, और न न्याय के समय उसे दोषी ठहराएगा।

34 यहोवा की बाट जोहता रह और उसके मार्ग पर चलता रह, और वह तुझे देश का अधिकारी करके ऊंचा करेगा; और जब दुष्टों को उखाड़ फेंका जाएगा, तब तू उसे देखेगा।

35 मैंने दुष्टों को बड़ी शक्ति के साथ फैलते देखा है, जैसे कोई हरा पेड़ अपनी जन्मभूमि में फैलता है।

36 परन्तु वह चला गया और अब नहीं रहा; मैं ने उसे ढूँढ़ा, परन्तु न पाया।

37 खरे मनुष्य पर ध्यान लगाओ, और धर्म पर ध्यान दो, क्योंकि उस मनुष्य का अन्त शांति से होगा।

38 अपराधी एक साथ नाश हो जाएँगे, और दुष्टों के बचे हुए सब नाश हो जाएँगे।

39 परन्तु धर्मियों की मुक्ति यहोवा की ओर से होती है; संकट के समय वही उनका बल है।

40 और यहोवा उनकी सहायता करके उन्हें छुड़ाएगा; वह उन्हें दुष्टों से छुड़ाएगा और बचाएगा, क्योंकि वे उस पर भरोसा रखते हैं।

The prosperity of sinners ends, and only the righteous will be happy

1 Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity.

2 For they will soon be cut down like the grass, and wither like the herb.

3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; you will dwell in the land, and truly be fed.

4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

5 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will bring it to pass.

6 And he will make your righteousness shine like the light, and your justice like the noonday.

7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him. Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wickedness to pass.

8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; do not fret to do evil. 

9 For evildoers will be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord will inherit the earth.

10 For yet a little while, and the wicked will be no more; you will look on his place, and he will not be there.

11 But the meek will inherit the earth, and will delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

12 The wicked plots against the righteous, and gnashes his teeth at him.

13 The Lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming.

14 The wicked have drawn the sword and bent their bow to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay those whose way is upright.

15 But their sword will enter into their own heart, and their bows will be broken.

16 A little that a righteous man has is better than the riches of many wicked.

17 For the arms of the wicked will be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous.

 18 The Lord knows the days of the upright, and their inheritance will last forever.

19 They will not be put to shame in the evil day, and in the days of famine they will be satisfied.

20 But the wicked will perish, and the enemies of the Lord will be like the fat of lambs; they will vanish and go up in smoke.

21 The wicked borrows and does not repay, but the righteous shows mercy and gives.

22 For those he blesses will inherit the land, and those he curses will be cut off.

23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and he delights in his way.

24 Though he falls, he will not be utterly cast down, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.

25 I have been young, and now I am old; yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread. 

26 He is ever merciful and lends, and his descendants are blessed.

27 Depart from evil and do good, and you will dwell forever.

28 For the Lord loves justice and will not forsake his saints; they are preserved forever, but the descendants of the wicked will be cut off.

29 The righteous will inherit the land and dwell therein forever.

30 The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom; his tongue speaks righteousness.

31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps will slip.

32 The wicked watches the righteous and seeks to kill him.

33 The Lord will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

34 Wait for the Lord and keep his way, and he will exalt you to inherit the land; you will see it when the wicked are uprooted.

35 I have seen the wicked with great power, spreading like a green tree in its native land.

36 But he has passed away and is no more; I sought him, but he could not be found.

37 Mark the blameless man, and consider what is upright, for the end of that man will be peace.

38 As for the transgressors, they will be destroyed together, and the remnant of the wicked will all perish.

39 But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; he is their strength in the time of trouble.

40 And the Lord will help them and deliver them; he will deliver them from the wicked and save them, because they trust in him.

1 Não te indignes por causa dos malfeitores, nem tenhas inveja dos que obram a iniqüidade.

2 Porque cedo serão ceifados como a erva, e murcharão como a verdura.

3 Confia no Senhor e faze o bem; habitarás na terra, e verdadeiramente serás alimentado.

4 Deleita-te também no Senhor, e ele te concederá o que deseja o teu coração.

5 Entrega o teu caminho ao Senhor; confia nele, e ele tudo fará.

6 E ele fará sobressair a tua justiça como a luz, e o teu juízo como o meio-dia.

7 Descansa no Senhor, e espera nele, não te indignes por causa daquele que prospera em seu caminho, por causa do homem que executa astutos intentos.

8 Deixa a ira, e abandona o furor; não te indignes para fazer o mal.

9 Porque os malfeitores serão desarraigados; mas aqueles que esperam no Senhor herdarão a terra.

10 Pois ainda um pouco, e o ímpio não existirá; olharás para o seu lugar, e não aparecerá.

11 Mas os mansos herdarão a terra, e se deleitarão na abundância de paz.

12 O ímpio maquina contra o justo, e contra ele range os dentes.

13 Senhor se rirá dele, pois vê que vem chegando o seu dia.

14 Os ímpios puxaram da espada e entesaram o arco, para derrubarem o pobre e necessitado, e para matarem os de reto caminho.

15 Mas a sua espada lhes entrará no coração, e os seus arcos se quebrarão.

16 Vale mais o pouco que tem o justo, do que as riquezas de muitos ímpios.

17 Pois os braços dos ímpios se quebrarão, mas o Senhor sustém os justos.

18 O Senhor conhece os dias dos retos, e a sua herança permanecerá para sempre.

19 Não serão envergonhados nos dias maus, e nos dias de fome se fartarão.

20 Mas os ímpios perecerão, e os inimigos do Senhor serão como a gordura dos cordeiros: desaparecerão e em fumo se desfarão.

21 O ímpio toma emprestado, e não paga; mas o justo compadece-se e dá.

22 Porque aqueles que ele abençoa herdarão a terra, e aqueles que forem por ele amaldiçoados serão desarraigados.

23 Os passos de um homem bom são confirmados pelo Senhor, e ele deleita-se no seu caminho.

24 Ainda que caia, não ficará prostrado pois o Senhor o sustém com a sua mão.

25 Fui moço, e agora sou velho; mas nunca vi desamparado o justo, nem a sua descendência a mendigar o pão.

26 Compadece-se sempre, e empresta, e a sua descendência é abençoada.

27 Aparta-te do mal e faze o bem; e terás morada para sempre.

28 Porque o Senhor ama o juízo e não desampara os seus santos; eles são preservados para sempre; mas a descendência dos ímpios será desarraigada.

29 Os justos herdarão a terra e habitarão nela para sempre.

30 A boca do justo fala da sabedoria; a sua língua fala do que é reto.

31 A lei do seu Deus está em seu coração; os seus passos não resvalarão.

32 O ímpio espreita o justo, e procura mata-lo.

33 O Senhor não o deixará em suas mãos, nem o condenará quando for julgado.

34 Espera no Senhor, e guarda o seu caminho, e te exaltará para herdares a terra; tu o verás quando os ímpios forem desarraigados.

35 Vi o ímpio com grande poder espalhar-se como a árvore verde na terra natal.

36 Mas passou e já não é: procurei-o, mas não se pôde encontrar.

37 Nota o homem sincero, e considera o que é reto, porque o futuro desse homem será de paz.

38 Quanto aos transgressores, serão à uma destruídos, e as relíquias dos ímpios todas perecerão.

39 Mas a salvação dos justos vem do Senhor; ele é a sua fortaleza no tempo da angústia.

40 E o Senhor os ajudará e os livrará; ele os livrará dos ímpios e os salvará, porquanto confiam nele.

1 दुष्टों का अपराध उसके मन में कहता है, “उसकी आँखों के सामने परमेश्वर का कोई भय नहीं है।”

2 क्योंकि वह अपनी आँखों में अपने आपको खुश करता है, यहाँ तक कि उसका अधर्म घृणित हो जाता है।

3 उसके मुँह के शब्द दुष्टता और छल हैं; उसने न तो समझना और न ही अच्छा करना छोड़ दिया है।

4 वह अपने बिस्तर पर दुष्टता की योजना बनाता है; वह खुद को ऐसे रास्ते पर रखता है जो अच्छा नहीं है; वह बुराई से घृणा नहीं करता।

5 हे यहोवा, तेरी करुणा स्वर्ग में है, और तेरी सच्चाई बादलों तक पहुँचती है।

6 तेरा धर्म महान पर्वतों के समान है; तेरे निर्णय महान गहिरे हैं; हे यहोवा, तू मनुष्य और पशु दोनों की रक्षा करता है।

7 हे परमेश्वर, तेरी करुणा कितनी अनमोल है! इसलिए मनुष्य के बच्चे तेरे पंखों की छाया में शरण लेते हैं। 

8 वे तेरे भवन की उत्तम से उत्तम वस्तुओं से तृप्त होंगे, और तू उन्हें अपनी सुखदायक नदी से पिलाएगा।

 9 क्योंकि जीवन का सोता तेरे ही पास है; तेरे प्रकाश में हम प्रकाश देखेंगे।

1 The transgression of the wicked says in his heart, “There is no fear of God before his eyes.”

2 For he flatters himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity is detestable.

3 The words of his mouth are mischief and deceit; he has ceased to understand or to do good.

4 He devises mischief on his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he does not hate evil.

5 Your mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens, and your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

6 Your righteousness is like the great mountains; your judgments are a great deep; you preserve man and beast, O Lord.

7 How precious is your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men take refuge in the shadow of your wings. 8 They shall be satisfied with the fatness of your house, and you shall make them drink of the river of your delights.

9 For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we shall see light.

10 Extend your lovingkindness to those who know you, and your righteousness to the upright in heart.

11 Let not the foot of the proud come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.

12 There the workers of iniquity fall; they shall fall, and shall not be able to rise.

1 A prevaricação do ímpio diz no íntimo do seu coração: Não há temor de Deus perante os seus olhos.

2 Porque em seus olhos se lisonjeia, até que a sua iniqüidade se mostre detestável.

3 As palavras da sua boca são malícia e engano: deixou de entender e de fazer o bem.

4 Maquina o mal na sua cama; põe-se em caminho que não é bom: não aborrece o mal.

11 O conselho do Senhor permanece para sempre: os intentos do seu coração de geração em geração.

12 Bem-aventurada é a nação cujo Deus é o Senhor, e o povo que ele escolheu para sua herança.

13 O Senhor olha desde os céus e está vendo a todos os filhos dos homens.

14 Da sua morada contempla todos os moradores da terra.

15 Ele é que forma o coração de todos eles, que contempla todas as suas obras.

16 Não há rei que se salve com a grandeza de um exército, nem o homem valente se livra pala muita força.

17 O cavalo é vão para a segurança: não livra ninguém com a sua grande força.

18 Eis que os olhos do Senhor estão sobre os que o temem, sobre os que esperam na sua misericórdia.

19 Para livrar as suas almas da morte, e para os conservar vivos na fome,

20 A nossa alma espera no Senhor: ele é o nosso auxílio e o nosso escudo.

21 Pois nele se alegra o nosso coração, porquanto temos confiado no seu santo nome.

22 Seja a tua misericórdia, Senhor, sobre nós, como em ti esperamos.

क्षमा किए हुए का आशीर्वाद; पश्चाताप के लिए एक उपदेश

1 धन्य है वह जिसका अपराध क्षमा किया गया, जिसका पाप ढाँप दिया गया।

2 धन्य है वह मनुष्य जिसका अधर्म यहोवा न ठहराए, और जिसकी आत्मा में कोई छल न हो।

3 जब मैं चुप रहा, तब दिन भर कराहते हुए मेरी हड्डियाँ सूख गईं।

4 क्योंकि दिन-रात तेरा हाथ मुझ पर भारी रहा; मेरा मन ग्रीष्म ऋतु के सूखे में बदल गया।

5 मैंने अपना पाप तेरे सामने स्वीकार किया, और अपना अधर्म नहीं छिपाया; मैंने कहा, "मैं यहोवा के सामने अपने अपराधों को स्वीकार करूँगा," और तूने मेरे पाप के अधर्म को क्षमा कर दिया।

6 इसलिए जो कोई पवित्र है, वह तुझ से उस समय प्रार्थना करेगा जब तू मिल सकता है; यहाँ तक कि बहुत से जल के उमड़ने पर भी वे उसके पास नहीं आएँगे।

7 तू मेरा छिपने का स्थान है; तू मुझे संकट से बचाएगा; तुम मुझे चारों ओर से उद्धार के गीतों से घेर लोगे। 

8 मैं तुम्हें बुद्धि दूंगा, और जिस मार्ग पर तुम्हें चलना होगा उस में तुम्हारी अगुवाई करूंगा; मैं अपनी दृष्टि से तुम्हारा मार्गदर्शन करूंगा। 

9 घोड़े या खच्चर के समान मत बनो, जो समझ नहीं रखते; उनके मुंह को डसना और लगाम लगाना आवश्यक है, कहीं ऐसा न हो कि वे भाग जाएं। 

10 दुष्टों को बहुत दुःख होता है, परन्तु जो यहोवा पर भरोसा रखता है, उस पर करूणा छाई रहती है। 

11 हे धर्मियो, यहोवा के कारण आनन्दित और मगन हो; और हे सब सीधे मनवालो, जयजयकार करो।

The Blessing of the Forgiven; An Exhortation to Repentance

1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

2 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.

3 While I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.

4 For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my mood was turned into the drought of summer.

5 I acknowledged my sin to you, and my iniquity I did not hide; I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the Lord," and you forgave the iniquity of my sin.

6 Therefore everyone who is holy will pray to you in a time when you may be found; even in the overflowing of many waters, they will not come near him.

7 You are my hiding place; You will preserve me from trouble; You will surround me with songs of deliverance.

8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with my eye.

9 Do not be like the horse or like the mule, which have no understanding; whose mouth must be bitten and bridled, lest they bolt.

10 Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but whoever trusts in the Lord, mercy surrounds him.

11 Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous; and sing for joy, all you who are upright in heart.
