3 And no one go up with thee, and none shall appear in all the mountain; nor sheep, nor oxen feed before the hill.
4 And he hewed two tables of stone like the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up to Mount Sinai, as the Lord had commanded him: and he took the two stone tablets in his hand.
5 And the Lord came down in a cloud and stood there with him, and he proclaimed the name of the Lord.
6 And the Lord passed before his face, and proclaimed, Jehovah, Jehovah, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in goodness and truth;
7 keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin; that the guilty have not innocent; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children unto the third and fourth generation.
8 And Moses made haste, and bowed his head to the earth, bowed down,

11 E falava o Senhor a Moisés cara a cara, como qualquer fala com o seu amigo: depois tornou ao arraial: mas o seu servidor Josué, filho de Num, mancebo, nunca se apartava do meio da tenda.

28 And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men.

Moses breaks the tables of the testimony
19 And it came to pass when he came to the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, was kindled the wrath of Moses, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and broke them beneath the mount;
20 And he took the calf which they had made, and burnt it in the fire, grinding it until it became powder; and sprinkled it on the water, and gave him to drink to the children of Israel.
21 And Moses said to Aaron: What you did this people, that it brought about a great sin?
22 Then said Aaron, not the anger of my lord, you know that these people are inclined to evil;
23 And they told me, 'Make us gods who will go before us; because we do not know what happened to this Moses, the man who brought us out of Egypt.
24 Then I said to them: Who has start-gold; and gave it to me, and cast it into the fire, and out came this calf.
