Ruth 03 Boaz promises Ruth to marry her

 Ruth 03

Boaz promises Ruth to marry her

8 And it came to pass, at midnight, that the man shuddered, and turned: and, behold, a woman lay at his feet.

9 And he said, Who are you? And she said, I am Ruth, your servant; therefore spread your flap over your handmaid, because you are the redeemer.

10 And he said, Blessed be you of the Lord, my daughter; you did this last benefit better than the first, because after no young men you went, either poor or rich.

11 Now therefore, my daughter, do not be afraid; I will do all that you have said, for the whole city of my people knows that you are a virtuous woman.

12 But now it is very true that I am a redeemer: but yet another redeemer has come closer than me.

13 Stay here tonight, and in the morning, if he redeems you, well, he redeems you; however, if I do not want to redeem you, live the Lord, that I will redeem you: lie here until tomorrow.

14 So she lay at her feet until morning, and got up before she could get to know each other, because she said, Let it not be known that any woman came to the threshing floor.

15 He said, Give me the robe that you have on you, and have a hand on it. And she had a hand in him, and he measured six measures of barley, and put them on top; then he entered the city.

16 And he came to his mother-in-law, who said, Who are you, my daughter? And she told him everything the man had done to her.

17 He said, "These six measures of barley he gave me, because he said to me, 'Do not go empty with your mother-in-law.'

18 Then she said, Be still, my daughter, until you know how the case will go, because that man will not rest until he concludes this business today.
