The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel 35 Prophecy against Mount Seir

The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel 35

Prophecy against Mount Seir

1 The word of the Lord came to me:

2 “Son of man, set your face against Mount Seir and prophesy against it.

3 Say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, Mount Seir, and I will stretch out my hand against you and make you a desolate waste.

4 I will make your cities a desolation, and you will become a desolate waste; then you will know that I am the Lord.

5 Because you harbor perpetual enmity and have abandoned the Israelites to the violence of the sword in times of extreme wickedness,

6 Therefore, as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I have prepared you for bloodshed, and bloodshed will pursue you. Because you did not abhor bloodshed, bloodshed will pursue you.

7 And I will make Mount Seir a desolate wasteland, and I will cut off from it all who pass by it, and all who return there.

8 And I will fill its mountains with its slain; on your hills, and in your valleys, and in all your streams, those slain by the sword shall fall.

9 I will make you a perpetual desolation, and your cities shall no more be inhabited; then you shall know that I am the Lord.

10 Because you say, “The two peoples and the two lands shall be mine, and we shall possess them,” even though the Lord was there.

11 Therefore, as I live, says the Lord God, I will deal with you according to your anger, and according to your envy, which you have shown in your hatred against them; and I will be known to them when I judge you.

12 And you shall know that I, the Lord, have heard all your blasphemies which you have uttered against the mountains of Israel, saying, “They are laid waste, they are given to us as pasture.”

13 You have magnified yourselves against me with your mouth, and multiplied your words against me: I have heard it.

14 Thus says the Lord God: While the whole earth rejoices, I will make you desolate.

15 As you rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was laid waste, so I will do to you: you shall be laid waste, O Mount Seir, and all Edom, yes, all of it; and they shall know that I am the Lord.

Profecia contra o monte de Seir

1 E veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:

8 प्रभु परमेश्वर कहता है, मेरे जीवन की सौगंध, क्योंकि मेरी भेड़ें लूट के लिए दे दी गई हैं, और मेरी भेड़ें मैदान के सभी जंगली जानवरों का खाना बन गई हैं, क्योंकि कोई चरवाहा नहीं था, और मेरे चरवाहों ने मेरी भेड़ों को नहीं ढूँढ़ा, बल्कि अपना पेट भरा और मेरी भेड़ों को नहीं खिलाया;

The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel 34 Prophecy against the unfaithful shepherds of Israel

The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel 34

Prophecy against the unfaithful shepherds of Israel

1 The word of the Lord came to me:

2 Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel; prophesy and say to them: This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Woe to you shepherds of Israel who only take care of yourselves! Should not shepherds take care of the flock?

3 You eat the curds and clothe yourselves with the wool and slaughter the fatlings, but you do not take care of the flock.

4 You have not strengthened the weak or healed the sick or bound up the injured. You have not brought back the strayed or sought the lost. You have ruled them harshly and brutally.

5 So they were scattered because there was no shepherd; they became food for all the wild animals, because they were scattered.

6 My sheep wander over all the mountains and on every high hill; yes, my sheep are scattered over all the face of the earth, and there is no one who searches or seeks for them.

7 Therefore, O shepherds, hear the word of the Lord:

8 As I live, says the Lord God, because my sheep have been given over to plunder, and my sheep have become food for all the wild beasts of the field, because there was no shepherd, and my shepherds did not search for my sheep, but fed themselves and did not feed my sheep;

9 Therefore, O shepherds, hear the word of the Lord:

10 Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will demand my sheep from their hand, and they shall cease feeding the sheep, and shall no longer feed themselves; And I will deliver my sheep from their mouths, and they shall no more be food for them.

11 For thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I myself will search for my sheep, and will seek them out.

12 As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his scattered sheep, so will I seek out my sheep: and will bring them again out of all places whither they were scattered, in the day of the cloud and of thick darkness.

13 And I will bring them out from the peoples, and will bring them from the countries, and will bring them into their own land, and will feed them upon the mountains of Israel, by the streams, and in all the inhabited places of the land.

14 I will feed them in good pasture; and their fold shall be upon the high mountains of Israel: there they shall lie down in a good fold; and they shall feed upon rich pasture upon the mountains of Israel.

15 I will tend my sheep and make them lie down, declares the Sovereign Lord.

16 I will search for the lost and bring back the strayed. I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak, but the sleek and the strong I will destroy. I will shepherd the flock with justice.

17 As for you, my sheep, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will judge between one flock and another, between the rams and the goats.

18 Is it not enough for you to feed on the good pasture, but you must also trample the rest of your pasture with your feet? And to drink the deep waters, but you must also muddy the rest with your feet?

19 As for my sheep, they feed on what has been trampled with your feet and drink what has been muddied with your feet.

20 Therefore the Lord God says to them: Behold, I, I myself, will judge between the fat cattle and the lean cattle.

21 Because you push with your side and shoulder, and gore all the weak ones with your horns, until you scatter them abroad,

22 I will deliver my sheep, so that they will no longer be prey, and I will judge between small cattle and small cattle.

23 And I will raise up over them one shepherd, and he shall feed them: my servant David shall feed them; he shall be their shepherd.

24 And I, the Lord, will be their God, and my servant David shall be prince among them: I, the Lord, have spoken it.

25 And I will make a covenant of peace with them, and I will rid the land of wild beasts, and they shall dwell securely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods.

26 And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.

27 And the trees of the field shall yield their fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be secure in their land; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I break the rods of their yoke, and deliver them out of the hand of them that served them.

28 And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the earth devour them any more: and they shall dwell securely, and none shall make them afraid.

29 And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall no more be consumed by famine in the land, neither shall they bear the reproach of the heathen any more.

30 And they shall know that I, the Lord their God, am with them, and that they are my people, the house of Israel, saith the Lord God.

31 You, therefore, my sheep, the sheep of my pasture, are men, but I am your God, declares the Lord God.

O livro do profeta Ezequiel 34

Profecia contra os pastores infiéis de Israel

1 E veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:

7 Portanto, ó pastores, ouvi a palavra do Senhor:

8 Vivo eu, diz o Senhor Jeová, que visto como as minhas ovelhas foram entregues à rapina, e as minhas ovelhas vieram a servir de pasto a todas as feras do campo, por falta de pastor, e os meus pastores não procuram as minhas ovelhas, pois se apascentam a si mesmos, e não apascentam as minhas ovelhas;

9 Portanto, ó pastores, ouvi a palavra do Senhor:

15 Eu apascentarei as minhas ovelhas e eu as farei repousar, diz o Senhor Jeová.

24 E eu, o Senhor, lhes serei por Deus, e o meu servo Davi será príncipe no meio delas: eu, o Senhor, o disse.

The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel 33

The Punishment of Israel Because of Their Presumption

21 In the twelfth year, in the tenth month, on the fifth day of the month of our captivity, one who had escaped from Jerusalem came to me and said, “The city is defeated!”

22 The hand of the Lord had been upon me in the evening before the one who had escaped came; He opened my mouth until he came to me in the morning, and my mouth was opened, and I was no longer silent.

23 Then the word of the Lord came to me:

24 “Son of man, the inhabitants of these desolate places in the land of Israel speak, saying, ‘Abraham was only one man, and he possessed the land, and it has been given to us as a possession.’

25 Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “You eat with blood, and you lift up your eyes to your idols, and you shed blood! And you shall possess this land?”’”

26 You rely on your sword, you commit abomination, and each of you defiles his neighbor’s wife! And will you possess the land?

27 Thus you shall say to them: Thus says the Lord God: As I live, those who are in the desolate places shall fall by the sword, and those who are in the open field I will give to the beast to be devoured, and those who are in strongholds and in caves shall die of pestilence.

28 And I will make the land a desolation and an astonishment, and the pride of its power shall cease; and the mountains of Israel shall be so desolate that no one shall pass through them.

29 Then they shall know that I am the Lord, when I make the land a desolation and an astonishment, because of all the abominations that they have committed.

30 As for you, son of man, the children of your people speak of you by the walls and in the doors of the houses; And they speak to one another, each to his brother, saying, “Come, I pray you, and hear what the word is that comes from the Lord.”

31 And they come to you as people usually come, and sit before you as my people, and hear your words, but they do not put them into practice; for with their mouth they flatter, but their heart follows their greed.

32 And behold, you are to them like a love song, a song of one who has a pleasant voice and plays well on an instrument; for they hear your words, but they do not put them into practice.

33 But when this comes to pass (behold, it is about to come), then they will know that there has been a prophet among them.

O livro do profeta Ezequiel 33

23 Então veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:

E possuireis a terra?

The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel 33

The Office of the True Prophet

1 The word of the Lord came to me:

2 “Son of man, speak to your people and say to them: ‘When I bring the sword upon the land, and the people of the land take a man from among them and make him their watchman,

3 and he sees the sword coming upon the land and blows the trumpet to warn the people,

4 if anyone hears the sound of the trumpet but does not heed the warning, and the sword comes and takes him away, his blood will be on his own head.

5 If he hears the sound of the trumpet but does not heed the warning, his blood will be on his own head; but if he heeds the warning, he will save his life.

6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people, If the sword comes and takes a life from among them, that person is taken away in his iniquity, but I will require his blood at the watchman’s hand.

7 So I, son of man, have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear the word from my mouth and give them warning from me.

8 If I say to the wicked, ‘You wicked person, you will surely die,’ and you speak to dissuade them from their ways, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.

9 But if you speak to dissuade them from their ways and they do not turn from them, they will die for their sin, but you will have saved yourself.

10 Son of man, say to the house of Israel, “This is what you are saying: ‘Our transgressions and our sins are upon us, and we are wasting away because of them. How then can we live?’

11 Say to them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, people of Israel?’

12 Son of man, say to your people, ‘The righteousness of the righteous will not deliver them in the day of their transgression. The wicked will not fall because of their wickedness when they turn from it. The righteous will not live because of their righteousness when they sin.’”

13 When I say to the righteous, “He shall surely live,” and he trusts in his righteousness but commits iniquity, none of his righteous acts shall be remembered, but because of the iniquity that he has committed, he shall die.

14 When I say to the wicked, “You shall surely die,” if he turns from his sin and does what is just and right,

15 if that wicked man restores the pledge, returns what he has stolen, walks in the statutes of life, and does no iniquity, he shall surely live; he shall not die.

16 None of the sins that he has committed shall be remembered against him; he has done what is just and right; he shall surely live.

17 Yet the children of your people say, “The way of the Lord is not just”; but it is their own way that is not just.

18 When a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity, he shall die for it.

19 And when the wicked man turns from his wickedness and does what is just and right, he shall live by it.

20 Yet you say, “The way of the Lord is not just; I will judge each of you according to your ways, O house of Israel.”

1 E veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:

2 Filho do homem, fala aos filhos do teu povo, e dize-lhes: Quando eu fizer vir a espada sobre a terra, e o povo da terra tomar um homem dos seus termos, e o constituir por seu atalaia;

3 E, vendo ele que a espada vem sobre a terra, tocar a trombeta, e avisar o povo;

The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel 32 Lamentation over Egypt

Lamentation over Egypt

17 In the twelfth year, on the fifteenth day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me:

18 “Son of man, lament over the multitude of Egypt and bring them down to the lowest place, to those who go down to the pit.

19 Whom are you surpassing in beauty? Go down and lie with the uncircumcised.

20 Among those slain by the sword they shall fall; she is given over to the sword; drag her away, and all her multitude.

21 The mightiest of the mighty shall speak to her from the midst of Sheol, with those who help her: ‘They have gone down, and are among the uncircumcised, slain by the sword.’

22 Assyria is there, with all its assembly; its graves are all around it; They were all pierced through and fell by the sword.

23 Their graves were placed in the innermost part of the pit, and their assembly is around their grave: all of them were pierced through and fell by the sword, those who had caused terror in the land of the living.

24 There is Elam with all his multitude around his grave: all of them were pierced through and fell by the sword; they went down uncircumcised to the lowest parts of the earth; they caused terror in the land of the living, and they bore their shame with those who went down to the pit.

25 In the midst of the slain they placed a bed for him among all his multitude; around him are his graves: all of them are uncircumcised, pierced through by the sword; for they caused terror in the land of the living, and they bore their shame with those who went down to the pit; he was placed in the midst of the slain.

26 There are Meshech and Tubal with all their multitude; Around them are their graves: all of them are uncircumcised and slain by the sword, for they caused terror in the land of the living.

27 And they will not be found with the mighty men who fell from among the uncircumcised, who went down to the grave with their weapons of war and put their swords under their heads, and their iniquity is upon their bones, for they were the terror of the heroes in the land of the living.

28 You also will be broken among the uncircumcised, and you will lie with those who were slain by the sword.

29 There is Hedom, its kings and all its princes, who were placed in its power with those who were slain by the sword: these lie with the uncircumcised and with those who went down to the pit.

30 There are the princes of the north, all of them, and all the Sidonians, who went down with the slain, ashamed of the terror caused by their power; and they lie uncircumcised with those who were slain by the sword, and they bear their shame with those who go down to the pit.

31 Pharaoh will see them, and will be comforted with all his multitude; yes, Pharaoh himself, and all his army, slain by the sword, says the Lord God.

32 For I also have put my terror in the land of the living; therefore Pharaoh and all his multitude shall lie in the midst of the uncircumcised, with those slain by the sword, says the Lord God.

Lamentation over Pharaoh, King of Egypt

1 In the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, on the first month, the word of the Lord came to me:

2 “Son of man, raise a lamentation over Pharaoh king of Egypt and say to him: ‘You were like a young lion among the nations; you were like a dragon in the seas. You stirred up your rivers, troubled the waters with your feet, and fouled your rivers.

3 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: “Therefore I will spread my net over you with a large group of peoples, and they will bring you up in my net.

4 Then I will leave you on the ground; I will throw you out onto the open field. I will make all the birds of the air dwell on you, and the wild animals of the whole earth will feed on you.”

5 I will place your flesh on the mountains, and fill the valleys with your height.

6 I will water the land where you swim with your blood, even to the mountains, and the streams will be filled with you.

7 When I extinguish you, I will cover the heavens and darken their stars; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon will not give its light.

8 I will darken all the bright lights of the heavens over you, and bring darkness upon your land, declares the Lord God.

9 I will afflict the hearts of many peoples when I bring your destruction among the nations, to lands you have not known.

10 I will cause many peoples to be dismayed at you, and their kings to tremble greatly when I brandish my sword before their faces; they will tremble every moment, each for his life, on the day of your downfall.

11 For thus says the Lord God: The sword of the king of Babylon will come upon you.

12 I will cause your multitude to fall with the swords of the mighty, who are all the most terrible of the nations; and they will destroy the pride of Egypt, and all its multitude will be lost.

13 And I will exterminate all its animals from the many waters; neither the foot of man nor the hooves of animals will trouble them anymore.

14 Then I will make its waters settle, and I will make its rivers flow like oil, says the Lord God.

15 When I make the land of Egypt a desolation, and the land is desolate in its fullness, and when I strike all who dwell in it, then they will know that I am the Lord.

16 This is the lamentation with which they will lament; the daughters of the nations will lament it; over Egypt and over all its multitude they will lament, says the Lord God.

13 हवा के सभी पक्षी उसके खंडहर पर रहने लगे, और मैदान के सभी जानवर उसकी डालियों के नीचे शरण लेने लगे;

Another prophecy against Pharaoh, king of Egypt

1 In the eleventh year, in the third month, on the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me:

2 “Son of man, say to Pharaoh king of Egypt and to his multitude: ‘To whom are you like in your greatness?

3 Behold, Assyria was a cedar in Lebanon, with beautiful branches, with shady foliage and high stature, and its top was among the thick boughs.

4 The waters made it grow, the deep exalted it; its streams flowed around its planting area, and it sent out its rivulets to all the trees of the field.

5 Therefore its stature was raised above all the trees of the field, and its branches were multiplied, and its boughs were lengthened, because of the many waters that it sent out.

6 All the birds of the air nested in its branches, and all the beasts of the field gave birth under its boughs, and all the great peoples sat in its shade.

7 So was it beautiful in its greatness, in the extent of its branches; for its root was by many waters.

8 The cedars could not overshadow it in the garden of God; the fir trees did not equal its branches, and the chestnut trees were not like its shoots: no tree in the garden of God resembled it in its beauty.

9 I made it beautiful with the multitude of its branches; and all the trees of Eden, which were in the garden of God, envied it.

10 Therefore thus says the Lord God: Because you have risen in your stature, and your top has stood up among the thick branches, and your heart has become lifted up in your height,

11 I will deliver it into the hand of the mightiest of nations, who will deal with it according to its deserved treatment; Because of his wickedness I will cast him out.

12 And strangers, the most formidable of the nations, cut him down and left him; his branches fell on the mountains and in all the valleys, and his shoots were broken off by all the streams of the earth; and all the peoples of the earth withdrew from his shade and left him.

13 All the birds of the air dwelt upon his ruin, and all the beasts of the field took refuge under his branches;

14 So that all the trees by the waters may not exalt themselves in their stature, nor lift up their tops among the thick boughs, nor may those that drink the waters trust in themselves because of their height; for all are given over to death, even the lowest earth, in the midst of the children of men, with those who go down to the pit.

15 Thus says the Lord God: On the day that he went down to hell, I caused mourning; I covered the abyss for his sake, and restrained its currents, and they stood still; and I covered Lebanon with black for his sake, and all the trees of the field withered because of him.

16 At the sound of his fall I made the nations tremble, when I made him go down to hell with those who go down to the pit; and all the trees of Eden, the flower and the best of Lebanon, all that drink water, were comforted in the lowest land.

17 These also shall go down with him to hell, to join those who were slain by the sword: yes, those who were his arm, and who sat in the shade in the midst of the nations.

18 To whom then are you like in glory and greatness among the trees of Eden? Yet you shall go down with the trees of Eden to the lowest land; in the midst of the uncircumcised you shall lie with those who were slain by the sword: this is Pharaoh and all his multitude, says the Lord God.

O livro do profeta Ezequiel 31 Outra profecia contra Faraó, rei do Egito

O livro do profeta Ezequiel 31

Outra profecia contra Faraó, rei do Egito

13 Todas as aves do céu habitavam sobre a sua ruína, e todos os animais do campo se acolheram sob os seus ramos;
