परमेश्वर संसार पर शासन करता है: परमेश्वर बलिदान से अधिक आज्ञाकारिता में प्रसन्न होता है

1 पराक्रमी परमेश्वर यहोवा ने उदय से लेकर अस्त तक पृथ्वी को पुकारा है।

2 सिय्योन से, जो सुन्दरता की पूर्णता है, परमेश्वर चमका है।

3 हमारा परमेश्वर आएगा, और चुप न रहेगा; उसके आगे आग भस्म करेगी, और उसके चारों ओर बहुत तूफ़ान होगा।

4 वह ऊपर से आकाश को और पृथ्वी को पुकारेगा, कि वह अपने लोगों का न्याय करे।

5 मेरे पवित्र लोगों को इकट्ठा करो, जिन्होंने बलिदान करके मेरे साथ वाचा बाँधी है।

10 क्योंकि जंगल के सारे पशु और हज़ारों पहाड़ियों के मवेशी मेरे हैं।

11 मैं पहाड़ों के सारे पक्षियों और मैदान के सारे जानवरों को जानता हूँ।

12 अगर मुझे भूख लगती तो मैं तुमसे न कहता, क्योंकि दुनिया और उसमें जो कुछ है, सब मेरा है।

13 क्या मैं बैलों का मांस खाऊँ या बकरों का खून पीऊँ?

15 और संकट के दिन मुझे पुकारो: मैं तुम्हें छुड़ाऊँगा और तुम मेरी महिमा करोगे।

16 लेकिन दुष्ट लोग परमेश्वर से कहते हैं, मेरी विधियों को याद करने और मेरी वाचा को अपने मुँह में लेने से तुम्हें क्या काम?

17 क्योंकि तुम शिक्षा से घृणा करते हो और मेरे वचनों को अपने पीछे फेंक देते हो? 

18 जब तू चोर को देखता है, तो उसके साथ हो लेता है, और व्यभिचारियों के संगी हो जाता है।

19 तू बुराई की बातें करता है, और तेरी जीभ छल की बातें गढ़ती है।

God Rules the World: God Delights More in Obedience Than in Sacrifice

1 The mighty God, the Lord, has spoken and called the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.

2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shined.

3 Our God will come, and will not keep silent; a fire will devour before him, and it will be very tempestuous around him.

4 He will call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.

5 Gather my saints together, those who have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

6 And the heavens will declare his righteousness; for God himself is the judge.

7 Hear, my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I, God, your God, will testify against you.

8 I will not rebuke you for your sacrifices or burnt offerings continually before me. 

9 I will not take a calf out of your house, nor a goat out of your pens.

10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.

11 I know every bird of the mountains, and every beast of the field is mine.

12 If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it.

13 Shall I eat the flesh of bulls? or drink the blood of goats?

14 Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and pay your vows to the Most High.

15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.

16 But the wicked saith God, What have you to do to recite my statutes, or to take my covenant in your mouth?

17 Since you hate instruction, and cast my words behind you? 

18 When you see a thief, you consent with him, and you are partakers with adulterers.

19 You give your mouth to evil, and your tongue frames deceit.

20 You sit and speak against your brother; you speak evil against your mother's son.

21 These things you have done, and I kept silent; you thought it was up to you; but I will reprove you, and I will set it before your eyes in order.

22 Hear this, then, you who forget God, lest I tear you to pieces, with no one to deliver.

23 Whoever offers praise as a sacrifice glorifies me; and to him who orders his way aright I will show the salvation of God.

1 O Deus poderoso, o Senhor, falou e chamou a terra desde o nascimento do sol até ao seu acaso.

2 Desde Sião, a perfeição da formosura, resplandeceu Deus.

3 Virá o nosso Deus, e não se calarás; adiante dele um fogo irá consumindo, e haverá grande tormenta ao redor dele.

4 Chamará os céus, do alto, e a terra, para julgar o seu povo.

5 Congregai os meus santos, aqueles que fizeram comigo um concerto com sacrifícios.

6 E os céus anunciarão a sua justiça; pois Deus mesmo é o Juiz.

7 Ouve, povo meu, e eu falarei; ó Israel, e eu, Deus, o teu Deus, protestarei contra ti.

8 Não te repreenderei pelos teus sacrifícios, ou holocaustos, de contínuo perante mim.

9 Da tua casa não tirarei bezerro nem bodes dos teus currais.

10 Porque meu é todo animal da selva, e as alimárias sobre milhares de montanhas.

11 Conheço todas as aves dos montes; e minhas são todas as feras do campo.

12 Se eu tivesse fome, não to diria, pois meu é o mundo e a sua plenitude.

13 Comerei eu carne de touros? Ou beberei sangue de bodes?

14 Oferece a Deus sacrifício de louvor, e paga ao Altíssimo os teus votos.

15 E invoca-me no dia da angústia: eu te livrarei, e tu me glorificarás.

16 Mas o ímpio diz Deus: Que tens tu que recitar os meus estatutos, e que tomar o meu concerto na tua boca,

17 Pois aborreces a correção, e lanças as minhas palavras para detrás de ti?

18 Quando vês o ladrão, consentes com ele, e tens a tua parte com adúlteros.

19 Soltas a tua boca para o mal, e a tua língua compõe o engano.

20 Assentas-te a falar contra teu irmão; falas mal contra o filho de tua mãe.

21 Estas coisas tens feito, e eu me calei; pensavas que era com tu; mas eu te arguirei, e, em sua ordem, tudo porei diante dos teus olhos.

22 Ouvi pois isto, vós que vos esqueceis de Deus; para que vos não faça em pedaços, sem haver quem vos livre.

23 Aquele que oferece sacrifício de louvor me glorificará; e àquele que bem ordena o seu caminho eu mostrarei a salvação de Deus.

1 हे सब लोगों, इसे सुनो; हे जगत के सब निवासियों, कान लगाओ।

2 दीन-हीन, महान, धनी-गरीब, सभी।

3 मेरा मुँह बुद्धि की बातें बोलेगा, और मेरे हृदय का ध्यान समझपूर्ण होगा।

4 मैं दृष्टान्त की ओर कान लगाऊँगा; मैं वीणा पर अपनी पहेली का अर्थ समझाऊँगा:

5 बुरे दिनों में मैं क्यों डरूँ, जब मेरे घात में बैठे लोगों का अधर्म मुझे घेर लेता है?

1 Hear this, all you peoples; give ear, all you inhabitants of the world.

2 Both lowly and great, both rich and poor.

3 My mouth will speak wisdom, and the meditation of my heart will be understanding.

4 I will incline my ear to a parable; I will explain my riddle on the harp:

5 Why should I fear in the evil days, when the iniquity of those who lie in wait for me surrounds me?

6 Those who trust in their wealth, and boast in the abundance of their riches,

7 None of them can by any means redeem his brother, or give to God a ransom for him.

8 (For the redemption of their soul is precious, and their means would soon fail); 

9 Therefore he will not live forever, or see corruption: 

10 For he sees that wise men die, that the fool and the brutish alike perish, and leave their wealth to others. 

11 Their inward thought is that their houses shall endure forever, and their dwellings to all generations: they give their lands their own names. 

12 Yet man that is in honour abideth not; but is as the beasts that perish. 

13 Their way is their folly: yet their posterity approve their words. 

14 They are buried like sheep; death shall feed upon them; and the upright shall rule over them in the morning; and their beauty shall perish in the grave, because there is no more place to dwell. 

15 But God shall redeem my soul from the power of the grave, for he shall receive me.

 16 Fear not when a man becometh rich, when the glory of his house is increased.

The Beauty and Privileges of Zion

1 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, in the city of our God, in his holy mountain.

2 Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

3 God is known in her palaces as a refuge.

4 For, lo, the kings gathered together; they passed by together.

5 They saw him, and were amazed; they were terrified, and fled in haste.

6 Trembling seized them there, and pains as of a woman in labor.

7 You break the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.

8 As we have heard, so have we seen it in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God. God will establish it forever.

9 We have remembered, O God, your lovingkindness in the midst of your temple.

10 As your name, O God, so is your praise to the ends of the earth; your right hand is full of righteousness.

11 Let Mount Zion rejoice; let the daughters of Judah be glad because of your judgments.

12 Go around Zion; surround her; count her towers;

1 Clap your hands, all you peoples; sing to God with a voice of triumph.

2 For the Lord Most High is awesome, a great King over all the earth.

3 He will subdue peoples under us and nations under our feet.

4 He will choose our inheritance for us, the glory of Jacob, whom he loved.

5 God has gone up with shouting, the Lord has gone up with the sound of a trumpet.

1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth gives way, and though the mountains be carried into the heart of the sea.

3 Though its waters roar and rage, though the mountains quake with their swelling.

4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy dwelling place of the Most High.

5 God is in the midst of it; it will not be moved; God will help at the break of dawn.

7 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.

8 Come, see the works of the Lord; what desolations he has made in the earth!

1 Deus é o nosso refúgio e fortaleza, socorro bem presente na angústia.

2 Pelo que não temeremos, ainda que a terra se mude, e ainda que os montes se transportem para o meio dos mares.

3 Ainda que as águas rujam e se perturbem, ainda que os montes se abalem pela sua braveza.

4 Há um rio cujas correntes alegram a cidade de Deus, o santuário das moradas do Altíssimo.

5 Deus está no meio dela; não será abalada: Deus ajudará ao romper da manhã.

6 As nações se embraveceram; os reinos se moveram; ele levantou a sua voz e a terra se derreteu.

7 O Senhor dos Exércitos está conosco: o Deus de Jacó é o nosso refúgio.

8 Vinde, contemplai as obras do Senhor; que desolações tem feito na terra!

9 Ele faz cessar as guerras até ao fim da terra: quebra o arco e corta a lança: queima os carros no fogo.

1 My heart is filled with good words; I speak of what I have done for the King; my tongue is the pen of a clever writer.

2 You are more beautiful than the sons of men; grace is poured into your lips; therefore God has blessed you forever.

3 Gird your sword on your thigh, O Mighty One, in your glory and your majesty.

4 And in your splendor ride prosperously, for the sake of truth, meekness, and justice; and your right hand will teach you awesome things.

5 Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the King's enemies, and by them the peoples have fallen under you.

6 Your throne, O God, is eternal and everlasting; the scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of equity.

7 You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your companions. 

8 All your garments smell of myrrh, aloes and cassia, from the ivory palaces where they make you glad. 

9 The daughters of kings were among your noble maidens; at your right hand stood the queen of Ophir, adorned with the finest gold. 

10 Hear, my daughter, and consider, and incline your ear; forget your people and your father's house. 

11 Then the king will desire your beauty, for he is your Lord; worship him. 

12 And the daughter of Tyre will be there with gifts; the rich of the people will entreat your favor. 

13 The king's daughter is all honorable in his palace; her garments are woven of gold. 

14 They will bring her to the king in embroidered garments; the virgins who accompany her will bring her to you.

15 They will be brought with joy and gladness; they will enter the king's palace.

16 Instead of their fathers, you will make your sons princes in all the earth.

1 O meu coração ferve com palavras boas; falo do que tenho feito no tocante ao Rei: a minha língua é a pena de um destro escritor.

2 Tu és mais formoso do que os filhos dos homens, a graça se derramou em teus lábios; por isso Deus te abençoou para sempre.

3 Cinge a tua espada à coxa, ó Valente, com a tua glória e a tua majestade.

4 E neste teu esplendor cavalga prosperamente, pela causa da verdade, da mansidão e da justiça; e a tua destra te ensinará coisas terríveis.

5 As tuas flechas são agudas no coração dos inimigos do Rei, e por elas os povos caíram debaixo de ti.

6 O teu trono, ó Deus, é eterno e perpétuo; o cetro do teu reino é um cetro de equidade.

7 Tu amas a justiça e aborreces a impiedade; por isso Deus, o teu Deus te ungiu com óleo de alegria, mais do que os teus companheiros.

13 A filha do rei é toda ilustre no seu palácio; as suas vestes são de ouro tecido.

14 Leva-la-ão ao rei com vestidos bordados; as virgens que a acompanham a trarão a ti.

15 Com alegria e regozijo serão trazidas: elas entrarão no palácio do rei.

1 हे परमेश्वर, हमने अपने कानों से सुना है, और हमारे पूर्वजों ने हमें बताया है कि तूने उनके दिनों में, अर्थात् प्राचीन दिनों में क्या-क्या काम किए थे।

2 तूने अपने हाथ से जातियों को कैसे निकाल दिया और उन्हें कैसे बसाया; तूने लोगों को कैसे सताया और उन्हें कैसे बढ़ाया।

3 क्योंकि उन्होंने अपनी तलवार से देश को नहीं जीता, न ही उनके अपने बाहु ने उन्हें बचाया; परन्तु तेरे दाहिने हाथ और तेरी भुजा और तेरे मुख के तेज ने उन्हें बचाया, क्योंकि तू उनसे प्रसन्न था।

God's people remember ancient favors and pray for deliverance from present evils

1 We have heard with our ears, O God, and our fathers have told us, what deeds you did in their days, in the days of old.

2 How you drove out the nations with your hand and planted them; how you afflicted the peoples and made them large.

3 For they did not conquer the land by their sword, nor did their own arm save them; but your right hand and your arm and the light of your countenance, because you delighted in them.

4 You are my King, O God; command salvation for Jacob.

5 Through you we will defeat our enemies; through your name we will tread down those who rise up against us.

6 For I will not trust in my bow, nor will my sword save me.

7 But you have saved us from our enemies and have put to shame those who hated us.

 8 In God we boast all the day long, and we praise your name forever.

9 But now you have rejected us and put us to shame, and you do not go out with our armies.

10 You have led us away from the enemy, and those who hate us have taken us as plunder.

11 You have given us up like sheep to eat, and have scattered us among the nations.

12 You sell your people for nothing, and you do not increase your wealth by their price.

13 You have made us a reproach to our neighbors, a scorn and a byword to those around us.

14 You have made us a byword among the nations, a shaking of the head among the peoples.

15 My shame is continually before me, and the shame of my face has covered me.

16 At the voice of him who reproaches and blasphemes, because of the enemy and the one who takes revenge.

 17 All this has happened to us, yet we have not forgotten you, nor have we dealt falsely against your covenant. 

18 Our heart has not turned back, nor have our steps strayed from your paths; 

19 though you have crushed us in a place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death. 

20 If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god, 

21 Does not God know this? For he knows the secrets of the heart. 

22 For your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 

23 Awake! Why do you sleep, O Lord? Awake! Do not cast us off forever. 

24 Why do you hide your face, and forget our affliction and our oppression? 

25 For our soul is bowed down to the dust, our body bowed down to the ground. 26 Arise for our help, and redeem us for your mercy's sake.
