The death of Aaron
22 And they departed from Kadesh: and the children of Israel, all the congregation, came to mount Hor.
23 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron in mount Hor, according to the land of Edom, saying,
24 Aaron shall be gathered unto his people; for he shall not go into the land which I have given to the children of Israel: because ye rebelled at my word in the waters of Meribah.
25 Take Aaron and Eleazar his son, and bring them up to mount Hor.
26 And Aaron cast off his garments, and clothed them with Eleazar his son: for Aaron shall be gathered, and there shall he die.
27 And Moses did as the LORD commanded him; because they went up to mount Hor under the eyes of all the congregation.
28 And Moses stripped Aaron of his garments, and clothed them with Eleazar his son; and Aaron died there on the top of the mountain; and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain.
29 And when all the congregation saw that Aaron was dead, they wept for Aaron thirty days, even all the house of Israel.

22 Então partiram de Cades: e os filhos de Israel, toda a congregação, vieram ao monte de Hor.
23 E falou o Senhor a Moisés e a Aarão no monte de Hor, nos termos da terra de Edom, dizendo:
24 Aarão recolhido será a seus povos, porque não entrará na terra que tenho dado aos filhos de Israel, porquanto rebeldes fostes à minha palavra, nas águas de Meribá.
25 Toma a Aarão e a Eleazar, seu filho, e faze-os subir ao monte de Hor.
26 E despe a Aarão os seus vestidos, e veste-os a Eleazar, seu filho, porque Aarão será recolhido, e morrerá ali.
27 Fez pois Moisés como o Senhor lhe ordenara; porque subiram ao monte de Hor perante os olhos de toda a congregação.
28 E Moisés despiu a Aarão os vestidos, e os vestiu a Eleazar, seu filho; e morreu Aarão ali sobre o cume do monte; e desceram Moisés e Eleazar do monte.
29 Vendo pois toda a congregação que Aarão era morto, choraram a Aarão trinta dias, isto é, toda casa de Israel.

14 And Moses from Kadesh sent messengers to the king of Edom, saying, Thus saith his brother Israel; You know all the work that came to us:
15 As our fathers went down into Egypt, and we abode in Egypt many days; and how the Egyptians mistreated us and our fathers:
16 And we cried unto the LORD, and he heard our voice, and sent an angel, and brought us up out of Egypt; and, behold, we were in Kadesh, a city at the end of thy border.
17 Let us therefore pass through thy land; we will not pass through the field, nor through the vineyards, nor drink the water of the wells: we will go by the royal highway; we will not turn to the right or to the left until we pass through your borders.
18 And Edom said unto him, Thou shalt not go through me, lest I go near the sword to meet thee.
19 And the children of Israel said unto him, Let us go up by the way that is equal, and if I and my cattle drink of thy waters, I will give them the price of them: without doing anything else, let me alone walk.
20 And he said, Thou shalt not go through. And Edom went out to meet many people, and with a strong hand.
21 And Edom refused to let Israel pass through his border: therefore Israel departed from him.

8 Take the rod, and gather the congregation, thou and Aaron thy brother, and speak unto the rock before their eyes, and give their water, and thou shalt bring water out of the rock unto them, and give drink to the congregation and to their cattle.
9 And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he had commanded.
10 And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and said unto them; Hear now, brethren, shall we draw water from this rock unto you?
11 And Moses lifted up his hand, and smote the rock twice with his rod, and many waters came out; and drank the congregation and their animals.
12 And the LORD said to Moses and to Aaron, Because you did not believe me, to make me holy before the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given you.
13 These are the waters of Meribah, because the children of Israel contended with Jehovah, and sanctified themselves in them.

1 And the LORD said unto Aaron, Thou, and thy sons, and thy father's house with thee, shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary upon you: and thou and thy sons with thee shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood upon you.
2 And thou shalt bring with thee unto thy brethren the tribe of Levi, the tribe of thy father, that they may come unto thee, and serve thee: but thou and thy sons with thee shall stand before the tabernacle of witness.
3 And he shall be thy keeper, the keeper of all the tabernacle: but they shall not come near to the vessels of the sanctuary, and to the altar, that they die not, both you and them.
4 But they shall be gathered unto thee, and shall keep the tabernacle of the congregation in all the service of the tabernacle; and the stranger shall not come near to you.
5 And ye shall do the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the altar; lest there be wrath upon the children of Israel.
6 And I, behold, I have taken your brethren the Levites out of the midst of the children of Israel: to you it is given as a gift from the Lord to minister the ministry of the tabernacle of the congregation.
7 But you and your sons with you shall keep your priesthood in all the business of the altar, and in that which is in the veil, you shall administer: I have given your priesthood in a ministerial gift, and the stranger that comes near shall die.
8 And the LORD said unto Aaron, And I, behold, I have given thee the charge of my heave-offerings, with all the holy things of the children of Israel; because of the anointing I have given to you and to your children for a perpetual statute.
9 And you shall have of the most holy things of the fire: all your gifts, with all their meat offerings, and with all their atonement for sin, and with all their atonement for guilt, to give me back, shall be most holy to you, and for your children.
10 In the most holy place shalt thou eat it: every man shall eat it; holiness will be for you.

16 And those who are to be redeemed from them, from the age of one month, according to your estimation, five shekels of money according to the shekel of the sanctuary, which is twenty gerahs.
17 But the firstborn of a cow, or the firstborn of a sheep, or the firstling of a goat, thou shalt not redeem: they shall be holy: thou shalt sprinkle its blood upon the altar, and its fat shalt thou burn with a burnt offering of a sweet savor unto the LORD.
18 And their flesh shall be thine, even as the breast of movement, and the right shoulder, shall be thine.
19 All the offerings of holiness, which the children of Israel shall offer unto the LORD, I have given unto thee, and to thy sons, and to thy daughters with thee, by a perpetual statute: a perpetual covenant of salt before the Lord is for thee and for your seed with you.
20 And the LORD said unto Aaron, In thy land thou shalt not possess any , and in the midst of them thou shalt have no part: I am thy portion, and thy inheritance among the children of Israel.
21 And behold, the children of Levi have given all the tithes of Israel for an inheritance, for their service of the tabernacle of the congregation.
22 And the children of Israel shall no more come near to the tabernacle of the congregation, lest they bear sin, and die.
23 But the Levites shall minister the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they shall bear their iniquity: for ever shall they be a statute throughout your generations , and in the midst of the children of Israel shall they inherit no inheritance.
24 For the tithes of the children of Israel, which they have offered to Jehovah for an heave offering, I have given to the Levites for an inheritance: because I said unto them, Among the children of Israel shall they inherit no inheritance .
25 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
26 And thou shalt speak unto the Levites, and thou shalt say unto them, When ye shall receive the tithes of the children of Israel, which I have given unto them of your inheritance, of them ye shall offer an heave offering unto the LORD; the tithes of tithes.
27 And your offering shall be told unto you, as the grain of the threshingfloor, and as the fulness of the winepress.

29 Of all your gifts ye shall offer up all the heave-offering of Jehovah: of the best of them, his holy part.
30 And thou shalt say unto them, When ye shall offer the best of them, as the new thing of the winepress, the Levites shall be numbered.
31 And ye shall eat it in all place, ye and your house; for your reward is for your service in the tabernacle of the congregation.

6 And Moses spake unto the children of Israel; and all his princes gave him every man a rod, for every man that was a rod, according to the house of his fathers; twelve rods; and the rod of Aaron was among his rods.
7 And Moses laid these rods before Jehovah in the tabernacle of witness.

produzira flores, e brotara renovos e dera amêndoas.
9 Então Moisés trouxe todas as varas de diante do Senhor
a todos os filhos de Israel; e eles o viram, e tomaram cada um a sua vara.
10 Então o Senhor disse a Moisés: Torna a pôr a vara de
Aarão perante o testemunho, para que se guarde por sinal para os filhos

11 E Moisés fez assim; como lhe ordenara o Senhor, assim
fez.
