16 And if any man shall sanctify unto the LORD a portion of the field of his possession, then shall thy valuation be according to his seed: a homer of barley seed shall be valued for fifty shekels of silver.
17 If he sanctify his field from the year of jubilee, according to thy estimation it shall be.
18 And if he sanctify his field after the year of the jubilee, then the priest shall count the money according to the years that remain unto the year of the jubilee, and it shall be cut off from thy estimation.
19 And if he who hallowed the field in some way redeem it, then he shall add the fifth, most of the money of thy estimation, and it shall be his.
20 And if he does not redeem the field, or sell the field to another man, he will never be redeemed again.
21 And when the field is gone out in the year of the jubilee, it shall be holy unto the LORD, as a holy field: his possession shall be the priest's.
22 And if he sanctify unto the LORD the field which he hath purchased, and it is not of the field of his possession,
23 And the priest shall tell him the sum of thy estimation unto the year of the jubilee; and in the same day he shall give your estimation for holiness to the Lord.
24 In the year of the jubilee the field shall return to him of whom he bought it, to him whose possession the field was.
25 And all thy estimation shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary: the shekel shall be twenty gerahs.
26 But the firstborn of an animal, because it is the Lord's, no one shall sanctify it; be it ox or small cattle, the Lord is.
27 But if it be of an unclean beast, then he shall redeem it according to thy estimation, and add to it its fifth: and if it be not redeemed, it shall be sold according to thy estimation.

23 Então o sacerdote lhe contará a soma da tua avaliação até o ano do jubileu; e no mesmo dia dará a tua avaliação por santidade ao Senhor.
24 No ano do jubileu o campo tornará àquele de quem o comprou àquele de quem era a possessão do campo.
25 E toda a tua avaliação se fará conforme ao siclo do santuário: o siclo será de vinte geras.

1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man vows a special vow, according to thy estimation shall the people be to the Lord.
3 If it be your valuation of a man, from the age of twenty years to the age of sixty, shall be your valuation of fifty shekels of silver according to the shekel of the sanctuary.
4 But if she be a female, thy estimation shall be thirty shekels.
5 And if it be from five years to twenty, your valuation of one man shall be twenty cycles, and the female of ten cycles.
6 And if it be from a month to five years, then thy estimation of one male shall be five shekels of silver, and thy estimation by the female shall be three shekels of silver.

8 But if he be poorer than thy estimation, then he shall stand before the priest, that the priest may judge him: according to him that taketh the hand of him that made the vow, the priest shall judge it.
9 And if it be a beast offering an offering to the Lord, whatever you give of it to the Lord will be holy.
10 He shall not change it, nor exchange it good for bad, or bad for good: if in any way change animal by animal, such and such shall be holy.
11 And if it be an unclean beast, of them that offer not an offering unto the LORD, then he shall bring the beast before the priest.
12 And the priest shall judge him, whether good or bad: according to the estimation of the priest, so shall it be.

1 Ye shall not make idols for yourselves, neither shall ye set up a graven image, nor an image of a stone in your land, to bow down to it: for I am the LORD your God.

2 Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD.

3 If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them,

4 Then I will give you your rains in due season; and the earth shall give its newness, and the tree of the field shall yield its increase:

5 And the threshing shall come unto you to the harvest, and the vintage shall come near to sowing: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.

6 And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall sleep secure, and none shall make you afraid: and I will cause the beasts of the earth to cease, and there shall be no sword in your land.

7 And you shall persecute your enemies, and they shall fall by the sword before you.

8 Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall chase ten thousand; and your enemies shall fall by the sword before you.

9 And I will look upon you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and confirm my covenant with you.

10 And ye shall eat the old store, after it is aged; and you shall take the old man away because of the new.

11 And I will set my tabernacle in the midst of you, and my soul shall not be angry with you.

12 And I will walk among you, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people.

13 I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of the Egyptians, lest you should be their slaves; and I have broken the yoke of your yoke, and made you walk straight.

14 But if ye will not hearken unto me, and do not all these commandments,

15 And if ye reject my statutes, and your soul be angry with my judgments, not fulfilling all my commandments, to make void my covenant,

16 And I will also do this unto you: I will put terror upon you, and the heat, and the burning fever, that shall consume the eyes, and torment the soul: and ye shall sow your seed, and your enemies eat it.

17 And I will set my face against you, and you shall be smitten before your enemies; and they that hate you shall be sown, and ye shall flee, and none shall pursue you.

18 And if you still do not listen to me, then I will punish you seven more times for your sins.

19 For I will break the pride of your strength; and I will make your heavens as iron, and your earth as copper.

20 And your strength shall be a waste: your land shall not give its increase, neither shall the trees of the earth yield their fruit.

21 And if you walk contrary to me and will not listen to me, I will bring you plague seven times more, according to your sins.

22 For I will send the beasts of the field among you, and they will make you desolate; and your ways shall be desolate.

23 If you still have not restored these things for me, but still walk contrary to me,

24 I will also walk contrary to you, and I, even I, will strike you seven times more because of your sins.

25 For I will bring upon you the sword, which will execute the vengeance of the covenant; and ye shall be gathered together in your cities: then I will send the pestilence among you, and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.

26 When I break your bread, then ten women shall bake your bread in a furnace, and they shall make you bread by weight, and ye shall eat, but ye shall not be satisfied.

27 And if ye will not hearken unto me, and yet walk contrary unto me,

28 And I will walk with you in anger; and I will punish you seven times more for your sins.

29 For ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.

30 And I will cut off your high places, and break down your images of the sun, and cast your carcases of your gods; my soul shall be angry with you.

31 And I will make your cities a desert, and I will destroy your sanctuaries, and I will not glean your sweet smell.

32 And I will destroy the land, and your enemies that dwell therein shall be astonished.

33 And I will scatter you among the nations, and I will draw the sword after you; and your land shall be desolate, and your cities shall be deserted.

34 And the land shall rejoice in its sabbaths, all the days of its desolation, and ye shall be in the land of your enemies; then the land will rest and rejoice on its sabbaths.

35 All the days of the desolation he shall rest, because he hath not rested in your sabbaths, when he liveth therein.

36 And when those of you remain, I will put such a fear in their hearts, in the lands of their enemies, that the sound of a moving leaf shall pursue them; and they shall flee as one fled from the sword: and they shall fall, and none shall pursue.

37 And they shall fall upon one another as before the sword, without any pursuing them; and you can not stand before your enemies.

38 And ye shall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies shall consume you.

39 And those who remain among you shall melt in their iniquity in the lands of your enemies, and in the iniquity of their fathers with them they shall melt.

40 And they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their transgressions, wherewith they have transgressed against me; but also that they walked contrary to me.

41 I also walked with them contrary, and brought them into the land of their enemies; if then his uncircumcised heart should humble himself, and then take the punishment of his iniquity for good,

42 And I will remember my covenant with Jacob, and of my covenant with Isaac, and of my covenant with Abraham, I will remember, and of the land I will remember.

43 And the land shall be forsaken of them, and shall rejoice in their sabbaths, being desolate for their sakes; and they shall take the punishment of their iniquity for good, because they have rejected my judgments, and their soul is filled with my statutes.

44 Moreover, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I be angry with them, to consume them, and to make them void of my covenant with them: for I am Jehovah their God.

45 But for their sake I will remember the covenant with their fathers, which I brought forth out of the land of Egypt before the eyes of the heathen, to be their God: I am the LORD.

46 These are the statutes, and the judgments, and the ordinances which Jehovah gave among themselves and the children of Israel at Mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.

4 Então eu vos darei as vossas chuvas a seu tempo; e a terra dará a sua novidade, e a árvore do campo dará o seu fruto:
5 E a debulha se vos chegará á vindima, e a vindima se achegará á sementeira: e comereis o vosso pão a fartar, e habitareis seguros na vossa terra.
6 Também darei paz na terra, e dormireis seguros, e não haverá quem vos espante: e farei cessar os animais nocivos da terra, e pela vossa terra não passará espada.
7 E perseguireis os vossos inimigos, e cairão á espada diante de vós.
8 Cinco de vós perseguirão um cento, e cem de vós perseguirão dez mil; e os vossos inimigos cairão à espada diante de vós.
9 E para vós olharei, e vos farei frutificar, e vos multiplicarei, e confirmarei o meu concerto convosco.
10 E comereis o depósito velho, depois de envelhecido; e tirareis fora o velho por causa do novo.
11 E porei o meu tabernáculo no meio de vós, e a minha alma de vós não se enfadará.
12 E andarei no meio de vós, e eu vos serei por Deus, e vós me sereis por povo.
13 Eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus, que vos tirei da terra dos egípcios, para que não fôsseis seus escravos: e quebrei os timões do vosso jugo, e vos fiz andar direitos.
14 Mas, se não me ouvirdes, e não fizerdes todos estes mandamentos,
15 E se rejeitardes os meus estatutos, e a vossa alma se enfadar dos meus juízos, não cumprindo todos os meus mandamentos, para invalidar o meu concerto,
16 Então eu também vos farei isto: Porei sobre vós terror, a tísica e a febre ardente, que consumam os olhos e atormentem a alma: e semeareis debalde a vossa semente, e os vossos inimigos a comerão.
17 E porei a minha face contra vós, e sereis ferido diante de vossos inimigos; e os que vos aborrecerem de vós se assenhorearão, e fugireis, sem ninguém vos perseguir.
18 E, se ainda com estas coisas não me ouvirdes, então eu prosseguirei em castigar-vos sete vezes mais por causa dos vossos pecados.
19 Porque quebrantarei a soberba da vossa força; e farei que os vossos céus sejam como ferro e a vossa terra como cobre.
20 E debalde se gastará a vossa força: a vossa terra não dará a sua novidade, e as árvores da terra não darão o seu fruto.
21 E se andardes contrariamente para comigo e não me quiserdes ouvir, trazer-vos-ei praga sete vezes mais, conforme os vossos pecados.
22 Porque enviarei entre vós as feras do campo, as quais vos desfilharão, e desfarão o vosso gado, e vos apoucarão; e os vossos caminhos serão desertos.
23 Se ainda com estas coisas não fordes restaurados por mim, mas ainda andardes contrariamente comigo,
24 Eu também convosco andarei contrariamente, e eu, mesmo eu, vos ferirei sete vezes mais por causa dos vossos pecados.
25 Porque trarei sobre vós a espada, que executará a vingança do concerto; e ajuntados estareis nas vossas cidades: então enviarei a peste entre vós, e sereis entregues na mão do inimigo.
26 Quando eu vos quebrantar o sustento do pão, então dez mulheres cozerão o vosso pão num forno, e tornar-vos-ão o vosso pão por peso e comereis, mas não vos fartareis.
27 E se com isto me não ouvirdes, mas ainda andardes contrariamente comigo,

29 Porque comereis a carne de vossos filhos, e a carne de vossas filhas comereis.
30 E destruirei os vossos altos, e desfarei as vossas imagens do sol, e lançarei os vossos cadáveres dos vossos deuses; a minha alma se enfadará de vós.
31 E porei as vossas cidades por deserto, e assolarei os vossos santuários, e não cherarei o vosso cheiro suave.
32 E assolarei a terra, e se espantarão disso os vossos inimigos que nela morarem.
33 E vos espalharei entre as nações, e desembainharei a espada atrás de vós; e a vossa terra será assolada, e as vossas cidades serão desertas.
34 Então a terra folgará nos seus sábados, todos os dias da sua assolação, e vós estareis na terra dos vossos inimigos; então a terra descansará, e folgará nos seus sábados.
35 Todos os dias da assolação descansará, porque não descansou nos vossos sábados, quando habitáveis nela.
36 E, quando aos que de vós ficarem, eu meterei tal pavor nos seus corações, nas terras dos seus inimigos que o sonido duma folha movida os perseguirá; e fugirão como quem foge da espada: e cairão sem ninguém perseguir.
37 E caírão uns sobre os outros como diante da espada, sem ninguém os perseguir; e não podereis parar diante dos vossos inimigos.
38 E perecereis entre as gentes, e a terra dos vossos inimigos vos consumirá.
39 E aqueles que entre vós ficarem se derreterão pela sua iniqüidade nas terras dos vossos inimigos, e pela iniqüidade de seus pais com eles se derreterão.
40 Então confessarão a sua iniqüidade, e a iniqüidade de seus pais, com as suas transgressões, com que transgrediram contra mim; como também que andaram contrariamente para comigo.
41 Eu também andei com eles contrariamente, e os fiz entrar na terra dos seus inimigos; se então o seu coração incircunciso se humilhar, e então tomarem por bem o castigo de sua iniqüidade,
42 Também eu me lembrarei do meu concerto com Jacó, e também do meu concerto com Isaque, e também do meu concerto com Abraão me lembrarei, e da terra me lembrarei.
43 E a terra será desamparada deles, e folgará nos seus sábados, sendo assolada por causa deles; e tomarão por bem o castigo da sua iniqüidade, em razão mesmo de que rejeitaram os meus juízos e a sua alma se enfastiou dos meus estatutos.
44 E, demais disto também, estando eles na terra dos seus inimigos não os rejeitarei nem me enfadarei deles, para consumí-los e invalidar o meu concerto com eles, porque eu sou o Senhor seu Deus.
45 Antes por amor deles me lembrarei do concerto com os seus antepassados, que tirei da terra do Egito perante os olhos das nações, para lhes ser por Deus: eu sou o Senhor.
46 Estes são os estatutos, e os juízos, e as leis que deu o Senhor entre si e os filhos de Israel, no monte Sinai, pela mão de Moisés.

The Year of Jubilee

8 And he shall number seven weeks of years, seven times seven years: so that the days of the seven weeks of years shall be forty and nine years unto thee.

9 And in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, thou shalt make the trumpet of the jubilee to pass: on the day of the atonement ye shall cause the trumpet to flow throughout all your land.

10 And ye shall sanctify the fiftieth year, and shout out liberty in the land unto all their inhabitants; a year shall be unto you of jubilee, and ye shall return every man to his possession, and ye shall return every man to his household.

11 The fiftieth year shall be a jubilee unto you: neither sow ye, neither reap that which is born of him in himself, neither shall ye reap the grapes of the untreated vines.

12 For it is a jubilee, it shall be holy unto you: ye shall eat the newness of the field.

13 In this year of the jubilee ye shall return every man to his possession.

14 And when you sell something to your neighbor, or buy it from the hand of your neighbor, let no man oppress his brother:

15 According to the number of the years from the jubilee, you shall buy your neighbor; and according to the number of the years of the news he shall sell unto thee.

16 According to the multitude of the years, thou shalt increase the price thereof, and shalt diminish the price thereof according to the increase of the years; because according to the number of news, it is that he sells you.

17 Let no man oppress thy neighbor, but thou shalt fear thy God: for I am the LORD thy God.

18 And do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them: so shall ye dwell safely in the land.

19 And the earth shall bear its fruit, and ye shall eat of it: and ye shall dwell therein secure.

20 And if ye say, What shall we eat in the seventh year, seeing that we shall neither sow nor reap our novelty?

21 And I will send my blessing upon you in the sixth year, that it may bear fruit for three years.

22 And in the eighth year ye shall sow, and ye shall eat of the old crop until the ninth year: until its newness cometh, ye shall eat the old woman.

23 And the land shall not be sold in perpetuity, because the land is mine: for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.

24 Therefore in all the land of your possession you shall redeem the earth.

25 When your brother becomes impoverished and sells some portion of his possession, then his ransomman, his kinsman, will come and redeem what he has sold his brother.

26 And if a man have no redeemer, but his hand reaches out and finds what is sufficient for his ransom,

27 And he shall count the years of his sale, and he that shall be returned to the man whom he hath sold, and shall take possession of it.

28 But if his hand does not reach what is sufficient to restore it, then that which is sold shall remain in the hand of the buyer until the year of jubilee: but it shall go out in the year of jubilee, and he shall return to his possession.

29 And if any man sell a house of habitation in a walled city, then he can redeem it until the year of his sale is fulfilled; a ransom shall be lawful for a whole year.

30 But if a whole year go by, it is not yet redeemed, then the house that is in the city that has a wall shall remain in perpetuity to him that bought it for its generations: it shall not go forth in the jubilee.

31 But the houses of the villages which have no wall in array shall be esteemed as the field of the earth: for they shall be ransomed, and they shall go forth in the jubilee.

32 But concerning the cities of the Levites, and the houses of the cities of their possession, the Levites shall have a perpetual right of redemption.

33 And when one of the Levites had redeemed, then the purchased house and the city of his possession shall go forth in the jubilee: for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel.

34 But the field of the suburbs of their cities shall not be sold, for it is a perpetual possession.

35 And when your brother is impoverished, and his strength falls, then you shall bear him as a stranger and a stranger, that he may live with you.

36 Thou shalt not take from it usury nor gain; but from thy God shall we have, that thy brother may live with thee.

37 Thou shalt not give him thy money with usury, nor shalt thou give thy food for aught.

38 I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan to be your God.

39 And when thy brother be poor, and he that is with thee, and be sold unto thee, thou shalt not make him a slave-servant.

40 As a hired servant, he will be with you as a pilgrim; until the year of jubilee shall he serve thee:

41 And he shall go forth out of thy service, he and his sons with him, and shall return unto his family, and shall return unto the possession of his fathers.

42 For they are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: they shall not be sold as the slaves are sold.

43 Thou shalt not rule over him with rigor: but of thy God shalt thou be afraid.

44 And when your slave or your slave you have, they will be of the people who are around you; you shall buy them slaves and slaves.

45 And ye shall buy them out of the children of the strangers that sojourn among you, of them, and of their generations, which are with you, which they have begotten in your land; and they shall be your possession.

46 And ye shall possess them for an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit the possession;ye shall do them a perpetual service: but upon your brethren the children of Israel, every man over his brother, ye shall not take his charge with rigor.

47 And when the hand of a stranger and a stranger that is with thee shall obtain riches, and thy brother that is with him, and be poor, and sell himself to the stranger or the stranger that is with thee, or to the race of offspring of the stranger,

48 And if he be sold, there shall be redemption for him: one of his brethren shall redeem him;

49 Or his uncle, or his uncle's son, shall redeem him: or one of his kindred shall redeem him: or, if his hand shall obtain wealth, he shall redeem himself.

50 And he shall count on him that bought it, from the year that was sold unto him unto the year of the jubile: and the money of his sale shall be according to the number of years: according to the days of a hired servant shall be with him.

51 And if they fail yet many years, according to them shall he redeem the ransom of the money by which it was sold.

52 And if there remain yet a few years until the year of the jubilee, then he shall make an account with him: according to his years he shall restore his ransom.

53 As a hired servant, from year to year, he will be with him; he will not rule over him with rigor before your eyes.

54 And if he be of good fortune if he does not redeem, he shall go out in the year of the jubilee, he and his sons with him.

55 For the children of Israel are my servants; my servants are they whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

20 E se disserdes: Que comeremos no ano sétimo, visto que não havemos de semear nem colher a nossa novidade?
21 Então eu mandarei a minha benção sobre vós no sexto ano, para que dê fruto por três anos.
22 E no oitavo ano semeareis, e comereis da colheita velha até ao ano nono: até que venha a sua novidade, comereis a velha.
23 Também a terra não se venderá em perpetuidade, porque a terra é minha: pois vós sois estrangeiros e peregrinos comigo.
24 Portanto em toda a terra da vossa possessão dareis resgate á terra.
25 Quando teu irmão empobrecer e vender alguma porção da sua possessão, então virá o seu resgatador, seu parente, e resgatará o que vendeu seu irmão.
26 E se alguém não tiver resgatador, porém a sua mão alcançar e achar o que basta para o seu resgate,
27 Então contará os anos desde a sua venda, e o que ficar restituirá ao homem a quem o vendeu, e tomará á sua possessão.
28 Mas, se a sua mão não alcançar o que basta para restituir-lha, então a que for vendida ficará na mão do comprador até ao ano do jubileu: porém no ano do jubileu sairá, e ele tornará a sua possessão.
29 E, quando algum vender uma casa de moradia em cidade murada, então a pode resgatar até que se cumpra o ano de sua venda; durante um ano inteiro será lícito o seu resgate.
30 Mas, se, passando-se-lhe um ano inteiro, ainda não for resgatada, então a casa, que estiver na cidade que tem muro, em perpetuidade ficará ao que a comprou, pelas suas gerações: não sairá no jubileu.
31 Mas as casas das aldeias que não têm muro em roda serão estimadas como o campo da terra: para elas haverá resgate, e sairão no jubileu.
32 Mas, no tocante ás cidades dos levitas, às casas das cidades da sua possessão, direito perpétuo de resgate terão os levitas.
33 E, havendo feito resgate um dos levitas, então a casa comprada e a cidade de sua possessão sairão no jubileu: porque as casas das cidades dos levitas são a sua possessão no meio dos filhos de Israel.
34 Mas o campo do arrabalde das suas cidades não se venderá, porque lhes é possessão perpétua.
35 E, quando teu irmão empobrecer, e as suas forças decaírem, então sustenta-lo-ás, como estrangeiro e peregrino, para que viva contigo.
36 Não tomarás dele usura nem ganho; mas do teu Deus terás temos, para que teu irmão viva contigo.
37 Não lhe darás teu dinheiro com usura, nem darás o teu manjar por interesse.
38 Eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus, que vos tirei da terra do Egito, para vos dar a terra de Canaã, para ser vosso Deus.
39 Quando também o teu irmão empobrecer, estando ele contigo, e se vender a ti, não o farás servir serviço de escravo.
40 Como jornaleiro, como peregrino estará contigo; até ao ano do jubileu te servirá:
41 Então sairá do teu serviço, ele e seus filhos com ele, e tornará à sua família, e à possessão de seus pais tornará.
42 Porque são meus servos, que tirei da terra do Egito: não serão vendidos como se vendem os escravos.
43 Não te assenhorearás dele com rigor, mas do teu Deus terás temor.
44 E quando a teu escravo ou a tua escrava que tiveres, serão das gentes que estão ao redor de vós; deles comprareis escravos e escravas.
45 Também os comprareis dos filhos dos forasteiros que peregrinam entre vós, deles e das suas gerações que estiverem convosco, que tiverem gerado na vossa terra; e vos serão por possessão.
46 E possuí-los-eis por herança para vossos filhos depois de vós, para herdarem a possessão; perpetuamente os fareis servir: mas sobre os vossos irmãos, os filhos de Israel, cada um sobre o seu irmão, não vos assenhoreareis dele com rigor.
47 E quando a mão do estrangeiro e peregrino que está contigo alcançar riquezas, e teu irmão, que está com ele, empobrecer, e se vender ao estrangeiro ou peregrino que está contigo, ou à raça da linhagem do estrangeiro,
48 Depois que se houver vendido, haverá resgate para ele: um de seus irmãos o resgatará;
49 Ou seu tio, ou o filho de seu tio o resgatará: ou um de seus parentes, da sua família, o resgatará: ou, se a sua mão alcançar riqueza, se resgatará a si mesmo.
50 E contará com aquele que o comprou, desde o ano que se vendeu a ele até o ano do jubileu, e o dinheiro de sua venda será conforme ao número dos anos: conforme os dias de um jornaleiro estará com ele.
51 Se ainda muitos anos faltarem, conforme a eles restituirá o seu resgate do dinheiro pelo qual foi vendido.
52 E se ainda restarem poucos anos até ao ano do jubileu, então fará contas com ele: segundo os seus anos restituirá o seu resgate.
53 Como jornaleiro, de ano em ano, estará com ele: não se assenhoreará sobre ele com rigor diante dos teus olhos.
54 E, se desta sorte se não resgatar, sairá no ano do jubileu, ele e seus filhos com ele.
55 Porque os filhos de Israel me são servos; meus servos são eles, que tirei da terra do Egito: Eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus.

3 छः वर्ष तक आप अपनी भूमि बोओगे, और छः वर्ष तक आप अपने दाख की बारी काट लेंगे, और अपनी नई चीज काट लेंगे।

4 परन्तु सातवें वर्ष में देश के लिये विश्रमदिन का विश्राम दिन रहेगा, जो यहोवा के लिये सब्त का दिन होगा; न तो तेरा खेत बोओगे और न ही तुम्हारा दाख की बारी छिड़क दे।

5 जो अपनी अपनी फसल से पैदा हुआ है, वह न फटेगा, और न तो तुम्हारी अनुपचारित दाखलता के अंगूर काटेगा, न कटे हुए वर्ष का: पृथ्वी का एक वर्ष होगा।

6 परन्तु पृथ्वी का सब्त का दिन तुम्हारे लिए, तुम्हारा दास, और तुम्हारी दासियों, और तुम्हारे मजदूरों और तुम्हारे साथ रहनेवाले अजनबी का भोजन होगा।

2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give unto you, then the land shall keep the sabbath unto the LORD.

3 Six years you shall sow your land, and six years you shall prune your vineyard, and reap its newness:

4 But in the seventh year there shall be a sabbath of rest for the land, a sabbath unto the LORD: thou shalt neither sow thy field nor prune thy vineyard.

5 That which is born of thine own harvest thou shalt not reap, and the grapes of thy untreated vine thou shalt not reap: a year of rest shall be unto the earth.

6 But the Sabbath of the earth shall be food for you, and for your servant, and for your maidservant, and for your hireling, and for the stranger who sojourns with you;

7 And to thy cattle, and to thy beasts, which are in thy land, shall all their increase be for meat.

2 Fala aos filhos de Israel e dize-lhes: Quando tiverdes entrado na terra, que eu vos dou, então a terra guardará um sábado ao Senhor.
3 Seis anos semearás a tua terra, e seis anos podarás a tua vinha, e colherás a sua novidade:
4 Porém ao sétimo ano haverá sábado de descanso para a terra, um sábado ao Senhor: não semearás o teu campo nem podarás a tua vinha.
5 O que nascer de si mesmo da tua sega não segarás, e as uvas da tua vide não tratada não vindimarás: ano de descanso será para a terra.
6 Mas a novidade do sábado da terra vos será por alimento, a ti, e ao teu servo, e á tua serva, e ao teu jornaleiro, e ao estrangeiro que peregrina contigo;
7 E ao teu gado, e aos teus animais, que estão na tua terra, toda a sua novidade será por mantimento.
